Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 8
Shadows replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
When we return from intermission, I'm going to go open that locked door and give the safe a shot, since I'm supposed to have that skill and I asked in day 7 but it was missed. Whine whine, nag nag. He didn't really mention the farm as anywhere we missed something, but I'm not against the idea. -

Back on topic! Ya bunch of vomit bricks. -
I could use some as part of a larger deal, but it is a normal release part having appeared in the T-16 Skyhopper.

Updated: 17/03/2010. Chrometrooper polybags: 2-3 from one person who isn't looking to make a silly profit but was lucky enough to find a store that didn't sell out of them in 10 minutes. Being thoroughly crazy, I'd like to achieve 2 specific things in my LEGO collection. Every part in every colour ever made. Every officially released minifig ever made. Yes, I know, it's impossible, but that isn't going to stop me from trying, and you can help! Basically, I want the weird, the unusual, the out of the ordinary. a part in a colour that it isn't normally produced in Event items, minifigs, tiles, engraved bricks, badges, sets. marbled bricks, especially matched pairs (or more) promotional bricks (frequently DUPLO sized, but sometimes System as well) from stores or events (Promo 1 & Promo 2) promotional sets/minifigs from airlines, store openings, wherever. base / roadplates A pony Fabuland figures and parts minifigs / parts / accessories, any theme pink parts (minifig legs, fences, stairs) Paradisa sets, complete or incomplete Quantities of chrome parts 1? 100? Whatever you've got. I'm not the kind to overpay, but I am fair. PM me with what you have and try to include details (pics are better). I am not interested in damaged parts, so if your baby brother has chewed on it, don't offer it to me. I have a lot of stuff. I also have Paypal. We can find the right deal. I would prefer to deal within the US, since shipping will be cheaper, but if you take Paypal and are anywhere in the world, just try to give me an idea of the shipping cost and we'll see what happens. Over time, I intend to build a comprehensive Brickshelf gallery of what I have and what I want, at least in terms of the more interesting items. That will ultimately make it easier to expand, but until then, don't hesitate to offer me whatever you think is interesting. Just have a price or trade in mind, I don't think either of us wants to sit around waiting for the other to get to business, and I hate setting prices (I'll offend you by being too low, count on it ).

I hand type them these days, it's faster, and usually more efficient. -

I've heard of them appearing in sets, but never found one (I had a technic arm that was very vaguely marbled once, but really useless). As for where... it's a secret. Can't have everyone beating me to them. -

As soon as we get a definitive answer on whether or not I can open the safe(s), absolutely. For that matter, I'm absolutely certain I can open that locked door at least. Alex, care to tell us what's behind door #1? Right, because Willoughby has been so safe. Aside from those other things. -

How what? As I said, it's just what happens when they are switching the machines from one colour to another. Usually, they're tossed out, I guess. I'd love the definitive answer on that, better yet, a big bucket of them. Hello LEGO factory? -

Misprints are rarely valuable in LEGO, unless they serve a purpose. A face that has a different expression would be considered potentially useful, a tile printed on the wrong side is basically useless outside of a bit of curiosity factor, so you can't really expect any value. I prefer marbled bricks, a completely different kind of mistake resulting from bricks being made during a colour change and having some of the old and new colour mixed together. I would be interested in buying any that are out there, feel free to PM me. They aren't really useful either, but at least they look interesting. For example: My current collection -

Ok, let's start with Sanctuary X. How many of the groups found their mark and what did it reveal? In the case of 6a, we found it on a wall at the train shed and after examining the ground nearby, I found the entrance to the tunnel that led from there to main street. That led me to believe that the marks would be safe path out of town, but without knowing what the others revealed, it's hard to tell. 6b, what did you find? -

I don't think that's really our goal anymore... this town is the mystery to be solved. I'm just not sure what we're allowed to do right now, or if we're supposed to be doing anything more than evaluating what we already know. -

An absolutely ridiculous situation. I've found that a certain part of the population has no respect for the work of others and won't hesitate to misuse it. Fortunately, it isn't a large group, but it doesn't take many to do the damage. I've seen a lot of that going on with custom decals and most recently, people stealing pictures of entire MOCs to claim as their own in contests. The only way to stop it is to expose it, so thank you for posting this. If there is anything we can do to help out, let us know. -
Custom sticker sheet or decal help needed.
Shadows replied to Maegnus's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
How about using that one? It's a simple trick, you just need a paint program that allows you to select the DPI (dots per inch) of the resulting print. Since that image is 200x200, it's easy math to figure out what DPI it would take to print various sizes. 2.0" = 100 DPI 1.5" = 133 DPI (close enough) 1.25" = 160 DPI 1.0" = 200 DPI 0.5" = 400 DPI Not only do you get your logo, but you don't technically resize the image, so there is no loss of resolution and the tiny one will look absolutely amazing. -

She's such a fruitcake that at Christmas all her relatives try to send her to each other, but she keeps coming back. -
So what you're saying is that you're not overly picky what you molest, as long as it's a bear.

I thought we met on main street, so somewhere between 2 and 3. We know that 1 to 2 is a tunnel. What do we know about 2 to 3? -
STRUDEL! AHAHAHAHA! I'm going to steal that. You do great work, you deserve all the kudos you get. If you ever want to be head of the EB News art department, let me know.

If I had to guess, they are a route to get out of town. The one in the train shed led to downtown, there must be one downtown leading to the next point, and so on. If we tracked our way from one to the next, we might learn something.
