And we'll be glad to present coverage of the event based on what we receive. We'll all be there in spirit and sigfig, so go wild if you want. Oh, shut up. He's always been an EB News Supporter (is that anything like an athletic supporter? dammit, now I'm doing it) Staudie is still a bit sore from being put in the chipper/shredder one time. Take plenty, send me some notes about what they are and we'll get them on as the show is going for exclusive coverage.

For those of you who have enjoyed his work here, why not head over and read the latest episode of EB News Presents where you'll learn a lot more as we interview the man himself, Houndblower. You'll also get a chance to take a peek at his rendition of the entire EB News team. It's , seriously. Thanks again for joining us, Houndblower.

Actually, it's EB News tradition to ask the guest who they think we should present next. It's also EB News tradition to almost never actually do it. In other words, stay tuned, you never know who might appear next!

Welcome to another exciting episode of Science Weekly! I'm your host, Sir Isaac Newton, and my assistant for the evening is this lovely apple. Director: CUT! WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? Staudie's mixed up the cards again. It wasn't me, boss! It was probably the new guy! HEY! It wasn't me! Maybe it was your faces! Aw. He's mean. Tell me about it. I've been doing this show for years now and he never gets any nicer. I heard he was like this, but I didn't want to believe it. Are you ladies about done? Almost. One more second. One more second might be your last. See what I mean? Yeah, it's just ... QUIET! Director: Can we try again, please? Fine... in 3.. 2.. 1.. Welcome to another exciting episode of EB News Presents! I'm your host, William Shatner. Ok, that isn't even funny. This time, without cards! IN 3.. 2.. 1.. Welcome to another ... oh screw it. Hey folks, it's me, ImperialShadows, that's Stinky Staudie and his new best pal Lady Wets-her-pants-because-Shadows-is-so-mean Zepher acting as comedy relief for the night. Our very special guest for the evening is that popular new artist on the EB scene, Houndblower. Some of you may know him from his sigfig request thread, but if you aren't familiar with his work, take a look at this beautiful rendering of the EB News team. Let's see, from left to right, in the front row we have the tail of our boom alligator whose name escapes me, then Zepher, Stash, Stutter Stauder, a dashing fellow who looks remarkably familiar and WhiteFang. In the back is nobody of any importance whatsoever. Ignore him, we do. That's really an amazing job, Houndblower, and we at EB News thank you for providing us with such an incredible sample of your work. We will be proudly displaying it in the header of our EB News Index shortly. And now, without further whining and crying, how about starting the interview, huh? Right boss! Q. Why the name Houndblower? I mean, what you have a modified leafblower to get rid of dogs or something? Haha, no, It's a reflection of two of my fave things: Beagles, and Hornblower. Q. Zee artist iz here! Tell us about your drawings, and why you do it. Well, I've always liked drawing, so one day several years ago, I had the idea to draw minifigs, and I've been doing it ever since! And quite well, I must say. Q. As an artist, what do you think David should be like, leaf or no leaf? What now? We aren't really sure what he's talking about there, just move on. Q. Roses are red ... Violets are blue ... Stauder is sweet, And Hinckley will kill you. GET OUT OF MY POEM! Make me. Roses are red ... Violets are purple ... Sugar is sweet ... and so's maple surple. Oh dear. Q. How long have you hoarded in your secret lair collected LEGO? Since I was about 5 or 6. Of course I had Duplo since I was like, 2. Staudie is almost old enough to graduate to Duplo. It'll be a proud day for all of us. Am I in this episode? You are now. Q. What are your 3 favourite sets? Q. What is your Favourite Theme, and why? Pirates (actually the soldiers! REDCOATS RULE!) I like ships and forts. Q. Best In Real Life Lego Moment, meaning the best Lego related moment that happened in real life. When I was selected as the Apprentice of BrickForge. Q. Same as above, but replace Real Life with EB. Getting Interviewed by EB News. Probably getting "pressed" into the C-P crew. You were doing so well there for a moment. *sigh* Q. What sets would you like to see TLC produce? Hmmm... I'd like a new ship for the Imperial Guards. That, and a Narnia theme. Q. Bubble-gum ... Bubble-gum ... Sweet are thee ... Ok I am out of material. Hmmm! He's been out of material since ... I'm sorry, I just ran out, too. Q. Can we see your um... Where artists keep their Lego? Sure: I must admit, that question concerned me at first. Q. Is it possible to see your stages of drawing Lego characters? Well, here's a WIP sketch: Q. Am I Annoying?™ Sometimes. And by sometimes, he means ... nope, sorry, I'm still out of material. I'll get back to you on this one. Q. Who should we Interview Next? The Honorable Captain Blackmoor. And there you have it, another insightful look at a talented and interesting member of EB, as well as an opportunity to make fun of Staudie and just generally sit around and not do any actual work. That's pretty much a winning combination for me. I really don't have anything to do in this episode? This is one of the Staudie episodes, so you just get to hang out and potentially serve as a target for a joke or two. But I want to be an active part of the show! Well, you could dance over the credits. That would be humiliating. You could go down and file for unemployment. CUE THE MUSIC! I should go to work in labour negotiations, I really have a way of motivating people to work. So mean... Yeah, I know. LADIES! DANCE! Me too? What do you think? Dammit. And as the camera fades on another episode, we see our dauntless reporters dancing their hearts out, trying to preserve the jobs they don't get paid for as it is. Sometimes, I wonder why they do it, and then I realise it's all about the opportunity to present the news to an audience starved for entertainment. Sadly, 3 more of the audience starved from lack of entertainment after this episode, but who's counting? *camera fades*

I'm more likely to believe that Jennifer is Ms. Thornton's daughter and she's trying to find her. That could be the valuable item in question, from a certain point of view. -

It would take a whole team of psychiatrists to manage that. Nice work! I knew they were tracks, these idiots were trying to mislead us into thinking they're roads. We've also learned that they may be able to be switched from the track itself, so that makes me think the switches are differently important, somehow. Definitely need to test out the switch theory and find the rest of the map. -

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads! If those are roads, why is there a crossing at 3 and which one is the track? Further, what does it cross as there is simply an intersection and neither crosses the other. Plus at least one of the two things coming out of the shed has to be track, or how does the shed get anything to the line? I'm confused now. -

Oooh, a map. Ok, so let's see. Each number corresponds to a place where two tracks meet. It seems we're to go right, right, left, right, left, though that junction at #4 would involve an impossible turn, so I assume we overshoot it and then go in reverse from there. Very odd. If only it was angled the other way, it would be a nice, smooth transition. I suppose each of those match up to a switch, but how would 4 lights indicate 5 junctions... -

As a general rule, I would prefer that things said in PM weren't quoted in such a way as to make it seem they are authentic, as no one can really be sure what was said, but I don't really see a problem here. -

Galactic Paranoia: One Replacement Needed
Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oddly enough, in LEGO there isn't much visual difference in potatoes and horse manure. As for you hosting... start the bribery now. You hear that, kiddies? Get in mommy and daddy's wallets and look for those little green pieces of paper, or rainbow coloured, or whatever they have locally, and send it to your old uncle Shadows who will find an appropriate way to dispose of it, and in return, let you play his game. Isn't that great? WOOWEE! -
Galactic Paranoia Day 7: Suffer Not the Witch to Live! As the day dawns, the team assembles for their morning update. Drake Knator, Pvt. Mann, Dayton Stern and Pvt. Crade all arrive late, looking tired and more than a little annoyed. Sgt. Pincer and Pvt. Fletchman don't arrive at all. Admiral Blaire and Commander Blazer exchange concerned looks after reviewing the hall security cameras from the night before, especially over this shot, which leaves them wondering. Grand Admiral Volrik: "You ladies mind taking your seats? I know you had a big night, but we have important business to discuss. We've had two deaths, one expected, and one unexpected. Let's get right to the video!" Sgt. Pincer: One more adjustment and I should have it! Sgt. Pincer: Finally! I'll be able to listen to every word said in the whole base though my giant speaker! Unidentified figure: Seems kind of sneaky, Pincer, like something a spy would do. Sgt. Pincer: AAAAH! You startled me, and it's Sgt. Pincer, and no, it isn't sneaky. Well, yes, it's sneaky, but it's how we'll catch those Black Sun operatives! Unidentified figure: Oh, is that so? Sgt. Pincer: Absolutely! I just need a little better signal, and I can't figure out how to get it. Unidentified figure: You need to adjust the antenna, of course. Grand Admiral Volrik: "I wish someone could adjust the colour on this, it's awful!" Admiral Blaire: "Sorry sir, I'll get it." Sgt. Pincer: Yes, this is helping, great suggestion! Unidentified figure: I know how to make it even better, more wire! Sgt. Pincer: Really? Well, do it, we're on the brink of success! Grand Admiral Volrik: "Much better, good job Blaire." Unidentified figure: Just keep wrapping them around. Sgt. Pincer: But I'm getting tangled up in them. Unidentified figure: It's ok, I'll come up with some hot idea to get you out of them once it's all done. Sgt. Pincer: This is too much. Unidentified figure: It's fine, just try to get untangled. Sgt. Pincer: I can't, the wires are too tight. If I had a little more light, maybe I could untie myself. Unidentified figure: Need a light? No problem. Sgt. Pincer: What are you ... aaaaah, that's hot. Unidentified figure: That's the idea. Sgt. Pincer: The wires are catching fire! And my clothes! And me! AAAAAAHHHHH! Unidentified figure: You won't be tangled up for long. Sgt. Pincer: HELP! WOOWEE THIS HURTS! Sgt. Pincer: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *crackle* Grand Admiral Volrik: "What a waste." Admiral Blaire: "You know he was innocent?" Grand Admiral Volrik: "What? Oh, no, I was just thinking of how it was a missed opportunity to toast marshmallows." Admiral Blaire: "..." Commander Blazer: "And this is the scene we found this morning, nothing but the charred remains of Sgt. Pincer." Commander Blazer: "Looks like you did it again, people. He was right on the verge of discovering the spies and you killed him. I practically vouched for him myself early in this mission, but do any of you listen? Now the whole place smells like burnt popcorn, too." Admiral Blaire: "We still wanted to be sure he was loyal, so we consulted with this special book we found in his quarters. It must be valuable, it's quite old and signed by someone named Inquisitor Fernandez. Now, let's see here... well, according to this, he's a witch and should be burned to death. Looks like they got that part covered." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Reminds me of a girl I once knew, she was from Dathomir and had the most bewitching eyes. Long story. Oh, look, there's a price tag on that book, it says 'Buy one Get one Azufre' ... I don't get it." Admiral Blaire: "Well, the slicers found plenty of evidence that he was loyal, so let's just go with that. I'm not sure what kind of lunatic would use a book like this, but maybe they should be burned to death for such nonsense." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Moving on, I'm most disturbed by this one, both because she was the only woman left and because she was our mortician. Roll the footage!" Admiral Blaire: "I can't." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Why not?" Admiral Blaire: "It's just too awful. Really too awful." Grand Admiral Volrik: "But I promised them video." Admiral Blaire: "I'm sure they'll understand." Grand Admiral Volrik: "But I won't..." Admiral Blaire: "I've already had a copy sent to your quarters." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Oh, well no problem then. Carry on." *HOST'S NOTE: I can only take so many crappy, poorly lit pictures in one night. I may add these later, if you don't kill each other too quickly. Maybe another EB News special on "The Galactic Paranoia Ripper". * Admiral Blaire: "I'll summarize what happened. Basically, it seems that someone escorted Pvt. Fletchman back to her quarters, then dismembered her. Part by part." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Did you know that a standard minifig complete with hair, can be broken down into 10 separate pieces?" Admiral Blaire: "I did after watching the security video." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Our slicers have done a comprehensive check of her data records and it appears she was being blackmailed by Black Sun because of some youthful indiscretions, something about wild parties and drunken debauchery." Admiral Blaire: "Actually, she was covering for her sister more than herself." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Her sister was a drunken debaucher? Do we have pictures of her?" Admiral Blaire: "No sir, her sister was on the wrong side of the law at one time." Grand Admiral Volrik: "I suppose it would be too much to hope it was for drunken debauchery." Admiral Blaire: "Yes sir." Grand Admiral Volrik: "It was? Excellent!" Admiral Blaire: "No sir, it would be too much to hope." Grand Admiral Volrik: "Oh. Well, whatever. It looks like our resident vigilante got it right, again, whoever that is. Shame the rest of you aren't so bright. That's a total of two traitors down and more of us than I'd like to count. At the rate you people are killing the loyal members of the team, we don't stand a chance. Hmmm." *whispers to his pilot* "Yes sir!" *the pilot runs out of the room, panicked* Admiral Blaire: "Something wrong, sir?" Grand Admiral Volrik: "What? Oh, it was nothing, I just need to get the hell out of here take a trip for a few weeks. I'll be sure to contact you via the holonet for the duration of this mission." Admiral Blaire: "Sir? You're leaving?" Grand Admiral Volrik: "Important business, yes, that's it, important business." Admiral Blaire: "Oh, I understand completely." Voting will continue to be done publicly for the duration of this game ... of life, so get cracking, the fate of the galaxy is in your hands. Grand Admiral Volrik: "This is madness. We're doomed..." The part of Pvt. Trent "Madman" Maverick will be played by Widanko Fenk, Willie Fangioli, Grim, WhiteFang for Day 7. If Trexxen has not returned by the end of this game day, the part will continue to be played by what's his name until the conclusion of Galactic Paranoia.
