Murder On the Emerald Express: Chapter 10
Shadows replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, let's finally get to the danger tracks. Hellanor isn't the only one with a gun, and mine has been tested. -
I'm having Atari flashbacks. *waits for an obligatory "A dingo stole my baby!" reference next*

Figured it was something like that, just seems to go against his "The gov is not here to take care of you. You must take care of yourself" policy, if you ask me. Nice car. Gotta love some classic European quality.

This isn't a culture and multimedia topic, and it's one we've already got, but for the sake of a potentially interesting discussion, I'm just going to move it, rename it slightly and leave it open. I'm kind of curious about this ... I was wondering the same thing myself, especially considering his sig, they seemed contradictory.

It's July, making early or late May a good 10 months from now, and you posted this in the Brick Flicks and Comics forum. I'd say welcome to EuroBricks, but I don't really know what you're doing. Do you?

Possible worldwide ban on the sale of lego on ebay?
Shadows replied to Duck's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Sounds silly, it really does. If anyone should know that online petitions don't work, it's a company that thousands of sellers have started online petitions about. I took the image out of your post, it still has your email address visible in it, just not where you think. -

Yeah, that doesn't read like eBay at all and it sounds like a load of bull. -

OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index
Shadows replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sounds good to me. It wasn't reorganized, it was just several months late already because of the various delays and crap. I don't know how that is going to effect the schedule, honestly. -

I felt like I was really stretching it by allowing you to contact the spirit of Widanko, but it had some precedent after Florence in Baritones I and I felt like it had been really unfair to combine the role of investigator with mortician, but that had already been done before I took over, leaving you with a double loss in one lucky kill. Much like in Witch Hunt, there are a few things I take as sacred in a game like this, and one is alignment announcements. If the host says someone is something, they should be that, and not giving you the benefit of any alignment notification is asking too much, so after the merge I simply reverted to the standard "we checked their stuff and they are <alignment>" method to keep it fair. When Hinck investigated me to see if I had been loyal or not, I 'd knowing that you would have been better served checking out one of the living. As I recall, there was good reason to investigate Adam at that point and the revelation that he was bad would have saved Hinck from what happened the next night when Adam killed him. Not sure what else Johnny snuck in, I never spotted them myself, but I really thought the 'four in the hallway' moment would have given everyone a fighting chance, especially since you all received mostly the same message concerning it and I made it clear in the intercepted Black Sun message that it had to be one of the first three to appear (since they were complaining about being followed by someone). That should have at least partially cleared Ricecracker, who you guys promptly killed. In an aborted part of the plot, I sent you the message from Glarg, but once you were killed, there was no point having the plot go that way. I had intended to let you discover that he was a fake, I even hinted at something weird going on when Ricecracker recognised the hallway where he died as 'familiar' ... it was the same spot where I took the picture of Glarg. That would have indicated that he was actually in the base already and not 'coming to help' as he told you. Since the hallway situation seemed to go completely unnoticed, I dropped it. Honestly, from a host's point of view, these games probably tend to look like a lot of blundering and mistakes, but we know all the secrets and all the misdirections, so it isn't fair to judge too harshly. Once a witch, always a witch. -
He made a reasonable comment. You, however, didn't. Leave that kind of thing to us and only worry about taking care of yourself. Thanks!

Great job, I'm definitely stealing it inspired by it. Welcome to the frontpage of Classic-Town.net.

I love the new name, it's fun to say 10 times fast. Oh, and I suggested it, but that doesn't have anything to do with it...

I'm not really a fan of secret voting, which is why I switched us off it at the merge. Voting is definitely one of the best ways to gauge loyalties and calls for a lot more skill on the part of the players. -

Danger tracks for me, too. -

Funny thing is, I didn't know either. I had decided that I would let the traitors turn 3 people before the power left them, and once they had, I would then randomly have one of them turn triple agent. Technically, if only 2 people had ever been turned, there never would have been a triple agent at all. -
I'm fairly sure I know. Oh look... new tag. You've moved on to solid food.

Shockingly, it wasn't me, but I do like it!

That's almost exactly my pre-dark ages collection, except you have a couple of extra copies of Harbor Sentry and are missing Forbidden Island. It's a very nice grouping, though shipping might be costly outside of Europe, sadly. Good luck!

Murder On the Emerald Express: Chapter 10

AHA! Do you know what this means? The scarecrow shoved the tin man into the fuel tanker, probably because he was blackmailing him over the accidental murder of Dorothy, who we found on the coal car! I'm a genius. Ok... now I just don't know. To be blunt, I propose that Eleanor and I shoot as many of the local bumpkins as we can, the rest of you borrow rocks from Arin to stone the last few left, and then we aren't likely to have any more of these little incidents in the night. Straw. Hay! The farm! It was probably someone from the farm. Let's shoot them first. -

Between games, primarily. There is no standard. Not necessarily. In the latest case, Escape the Fate earned one by scoring a win all alone in a tough scenario. -

I don't think he ended up telling me all of them, but I remember that one was that one spy on each side was a communications officer, and as such they had a head that included a slightly hidden microphone/headset. It was a really subtle clue that I wouldn't have ever assumed was meant to be a clue at all. I had lovely hair that didn't need to be messed up! I would have thought exactly the same thing. You were killed by Eddie Flak, the triple agent. He needed to keep the loyalists outnumbering the traitors at all times until it was 1:1, and since a traitor had been voted off, he figured he could take the chance to kill you before you accused him further. As it is, I don't think it would have mattered, nobody listened to you. It was a less organized effort than I would have liked, since I didn't get to plan ahead and had to sort of wing it, but I think it went pretty well. If I ever do another, I want to actually be the one to start it, pick the characters, build some standardized backgrounds, that sort of thing. Thanks for playing! -

Galactic Paranoia has been wrapped up with a win by Escape the Fate (first post updated). Congratulations to him. Let's take a short break before the next game to allow Murder on the Emerald Express to finish and to make sure that our next host is ready. TinyPies... how is Noir Mafia looking? -
Welcome to EB! Yeah, I think that can be arranged in this case, hold on. Then you'll introduce yourself? Edited to add: All done. Your display name is right, your log in name will still be the same as it was (it won't hurt anything).
