  1. Listen to the presented evidence and make the right vote and you'll see. Be stupid and you won't. Investigators aren't psychic, we can only check one person a night, and in my case, I was only allowed to look for evidence of the boss, which I found. If you want a better answer, ask your own investigator why they voted off a loyal citizen on day 1. Yes, that's right, I know who the 'loyal investigator' is, and I know that they voted off a loyal citizen as well. Oh, and isn't it funny that I know who the loyal investigator and loyal vigilante are, yet they continue to live. Wouldn't scum have them killed since they are important roles? Stuff that in your lying face and chew on it for a while. And yet the person you are trusting over me did the same thing. We all did. It's the nature of things, you only know so much and have to use your instincts. What question? I presented the evidence I was given and all that I could legally provide without resorting to cheating like your loyal investigator. I keep asking for proof against me and you have none. I keep asking what you have done to help and you try to throw it back at me because you have nothing to offer. I keep asking how long we are supposed to sit around and be killed by the scum, and I get attacked. It's fine, really. Sit and wait for them to kill you. Sit by the door and wear whatever you want to be buried in, they'll come for you eventually, if you aren't one of them.
  2. You know, the most deadly part of a situation like this is stupidity and it's running rampant in a few of you. The rest are simply being deceived by the sheer volume of it being spewed upon this town by a limited number of dedicated scum. Revealing that I am FBI also indicated my night action. For those of you who are unaware, the I in FBI means 'investigation' and that is what I have been doing. On the one hand you have my accusers (or the defenders of the scum boss) screaming that I should have revealed myself sooner and guaranteed my own death, then on the other hand they are trying to defend the unknown 'investigator' by saying that they can't possibly reveal themselves or risk death. You can't have it both ways, people, it reveals your bias. This is why I planned to deal with the situation privately, both for my own protection and because I knew I couldn't rely on this town to get the job done without a few obviously tainted voices trying to stop me. Those voices have been loud, apparently devoting their whole day to it. Personally, I needed the sleep after being out all night digging through trash and sneaking into the house. When forced to reveal my identity, I gave you everything I had, and the chief of police has confirmed that the scum is exactly who I say he is, yet you keep ignoring that to chase after me. You're being whipped into a frenzy by a couple of first timers who don't understand how this game ... of life ... is played. They ignore what facts we have and demand proof. I don't know what kind of proof they want since this game ... of life ... is a virtual situation and only exists in words, but I presented everything I could legally provide. I am not going to break the rules like the unknown investigator and post the exact text of any message I have received, some of us call that cheating. Oh, and my gun, a revolver, also backs up my story. Has anyone in this town been killed that way? No, that isn't the weapon of scum, it's the weapon I have been given to protect myself in the field. Standard issue and unfired, thus far. So ramble on, ignore the truth, let the scum live and continue to kill us, but know this, it is on your heads, not mine. I've taken all of the necessary risks and some unnecessary ones that you've caused, and I will certainly die for it one way or another, but I am proud to have done it and the truth of the situation will eventually be seen. I hope it isn't too late, but honestly, some of you deserve it now, just for stupidity and inexperience. Strictly enforced, this day should have ended when the vote requirement was successfully reached, which it was several pages ago, before the scum managed to sway the town's resolve away from the truth. At this point, it only remains to be seen if today will be a grand slam for the scum. Will you ignore the evidence that reveals their boss, kill the one who provided it, then sit around while they kill you tonight, giving them a nice triple victory, or will you come to your senses? So ask yourselves this: are these screaming voices offering any proof of their own? Have they done anything to help this town in the past 3 days? Have they even tried? Where is this investigator they claim to have? Everything they quoted could have come from scum, since scum knows what I found at the Buscemi house, they would have noticed the trash disturbed and the money missing in the morning. In my very first comment this morning I said this evidence was coming, once I figured out how to present it. They saw that as a threat and attacked me, but be clear, I said it first, and I told people privately about it before it was posted here, before the first accusation was made against me. Good luck, you're going to need it.
  3. Or maybe he hasn't logged in gotten up since 31st July 2009 @ 06:35 PM. Oh, and if you care to remember, I was going to try to deal with this in another way, a private way, to keep my cover from being destroyed. I wasn't the one that opened this up to the public, so don't try to turn me into some mastermind who made you put my life in danger to do something I could have done without that risk. YOU and the so-called investigator coward are the ones who blew my cover, but in doing so, you confirmed exactly what I had already told privately to others, so thank you. Now, the good thing is that I only had one specific job to do in this town, catch the boss. I've done that, the voting is effectively over. At this point, I'm not any more of a threat to the scum than the rest of you, and I've got some self defense skills and a revolver to protect me. So you know what, think what you want, but this has actually turned out to be a very effective day for this town and I'm happy about it. I'll probably get a promotion! Special thanks to our police chief for confirming that he discovered the same truth in another way, I sincerely appreciate a man with the stones to stand up for the truth. Agent Imperante, Over and Out! Actually, after this conviction, I haven't got a thing. I doubt I'll be suggesting anyone, since I am out of my 'ability' to determine such things. I'll have to take the word of those of you who haven't helped so far. So you're wrong on all counts, as always.
  4. Ok, it's true, this game finally got a lot more fun for me. I'll apologize for going a bit over the top with it, but usually I get at least one of these fights in with Hinck, and he's been too busy lately to play. Last time, he ended up being a witch and then we killed the host at the end. I'm sure some of you remember.
  5. I wouldn't suggest falling into the trap of judging people based on the situations they've been forced into in the past. When I was being given my federal background examination, they mentioned that in past lives I had been a hero who saved a town from the mob and a wise priest who saved a town from a madman who had everyone convinced that there were witches, as well as an unfortunate but absolutely lovely woman with great hair who loyally served her team until she was murdered by them. Bear that in mind.
  6. 1. I've got the proof, both in the form of a letter and marked bills from a bank robbery. That information is enough to convince anyone reasonable that Jerry Buscemi is the boss. 2. I've put my life on the line every night trying to gather this information, and now that I have it, you want to ignore it? 3. I've revealed that information at great personal risk (though I had a much better way of dealing with it before it was foolishly let out in the open). 4. I'm putting my life on the line, not you. You're getting your nails done. 5. How about the Chief of Police, as seen here: I've voted twice. Both times there was a lot of support for the vote and they were clearly suspicious, yet you want to play the same game as Stephen did when he singled out the good doctor? Learn from the past mistakes of others, dear, or you're doomed to repeat them. It was that mistake that cost him his life, and even then he said he didn't regret it. That's not the kind of responsible citizen we need, that's dangerous. Past life? If you believe in that kind of thing, anyone with experience would be likely to have had some past lives that fell on both sides of the law. I am well aware of who you mean, however, and it's true, he killed off the mobsters. Two different times. He also discovered that the voice in the sky was a lunatic and misleading us, thus saving a town from destruction at it's own hands. That's what we call a proven track record.
  7. Thank you for lying again to prove mine. Here is exactly what you said. My comment was both accurate and in context. Don't blame me for not understanding how your ego thinks it can let anyone do or not do anything. What help have you provided the town during this situation? Oh, that's right, none. One might wonder how much help you've been to the scum.
  8. Freaks, the lot of you. Now sweep that baseplate with a tiny paintbrush and don't forget that my sigfig has brown epaulettes under the cape. Ok, so it was a little amusing.
  9. Oh yeah, you asked for it.
  10. You don't control this town, so I don't know how you propose to 'let' anyone be voted off or not. No single one of us has that power. Only as a group can we stop the scum. Too much beer so early in the day? Let me repeat for the town drunk. IF I AM WRONG, I DIE TOMORROW. I'll cast the first vote myself and I'll expect everyone else to follow. Hell, let's make it even better. I know who the town vigilante is, which tends to also speak to my innocence, since scum would simply have them killed, but they aren't dead, are they? Whatever the case, if I am wrong, I want them to kill me during the night. Then you won't even have to dirty your hands with it tomorrow. I just don't think you understand the 'evidence' presented, so you're voting foolishly. I'm not taking it as a sign of complicity. Should I be?
  11. Except I had already revealed this information to two people whom I believe are loyal townies, long before my cover was blown. At the beginning of the day, I also mentioned that I knew something that I wasn't certain how to reveal. Well, it ended up revealed, didn't it! Oh look, yes I did.
  12. I know you don't agree with our methods, but experience dictates that you either vote or you sit while they kill you. Yes, I've voted in both previous days, I always vote, but I didn't instigate the first one (who we both voted for) and was asked by someone to suggest who I suspected for the second. I listed a number of people and ended up choosing the one that I thought had the most potential based on their accusation of the doctor, who was loyal. If being wrong is a crime, I guess I'm guilty, but I'll damn sure not be guilty of just sitting by while the scum takes over. So yeah, I'm asking for a shot here. The information that I have shared was given to at least two other people prior to this whole discussion, right after I discovered it. I stake my life on it. I have a standard issue revolver, not a machine gun or a hatchet. The letter, based on what I discovered, indicates that one of our loyal citizens has been turned and met with someone at the Aventine (yes, I received a copy of it as well, when it was discovered, and no, I don't know what that name refers to, probably a hotel or something). As this letter was in the trash of the Buscemi home, it's clear who it was addressed to. It isn't made up, it just doesn't mean what you want to read into it. I can understand that, but I refuse to let it kill me by being quiet about it, even though speaking up puts me in danger. You're lying. I've asked you to provide us with evidence to use in our investigation. Instead, I've been forced to reveal something very dangerous to me, and you refuse to act on it. You don't want to vote, you don't want evidence, you just want to sit and do nothing or accuse me based on misinterpreted information from an unknown source who hasn't got the integrity to defend it themselves. I stand by my information, face to face, my own safety be damned.
  13. And Father Walters. Why overlook him? I'm asking for one shot at this, then my life is forfeited if I'm wrong. What have I got to gain by that, unless I'm telling the truth? As for evidence being true or not, let me show you an example of why it's not quite so simple. Hey guys, I just found this letter, let me read it to you: "Our plan is working perfectly. We've killed that pesky doctor and now I'm going to try to get them to kill that fed do-gooder Imperante tomorrow. All I have to do is turn over some fake evidence and they'll believe me. I'm going to plant a letter and some cash, that should do the trick. Signed, Artie." Is that real? Oh my, you must be scum. I KNEW IT!
  14. And federal agents, my background is so clean you could eat toast off it.
  15. I may not last long now that the truth has been revealed, but it isn't going to make much difference at this point, I might as well tell the whole story. When I was kid, I wanted to be a cop. Oh man, I wanted to be one so badly. I used to train, and read books and practice with my rifle. Problem is, my eyesight has never been very good and they turned me down when I was old enough to apply. So, I did the next best thing, I went to college and studied and apprenticed and eventually joined the FBI as an office worker. Over time, I proved my value to the agency and they started sending me out in the field, but it was always just evidence collection and never real crime work. So when I heard about this town caught in the grips of the mob, I did what anyone in my position would do, I broke the rules and came here to try to help, disguising myself as a toaster salesman. The letter you describe was from an unknown party and sent to Jerry Buscemi. I found it in his trash. Further investigation revealed a huge amount of cash in bills that correspond to a robbery in the next town over. I have no doubt he is the boss. My whole purpose in being here was to catch him and make a name for myself. So it's deal time. Someone protect me tonight and kill the scum Buscemi. If he isn't what I say, kill me tomorrow and I'll at least have had a shot at being a real agent. Vote: Jerry Buscemi / JimButcher My fate, and the fate of the whole town is in your hands.
  16. If you can't keep her contented and at home, just let me know... I have not been converted, nor do I own a weapon. I also have no idea what that information is supposed to mean. Perhaps the person claiming it would like to step forward like a man and claim his knowledge for himself? Otherwise, he is putting you at risk and hiding behind your skirt, ahem, robes. I also find it funny that someone who is an investigator has checked on me previously and can tell you that I am loyal. I will leave it to him to confirm that. As for the cash, you've never had a problem with my donations to the church in the past, I am a successful businessman and I don't trust the banks in this town given the current crime problem. I think I'm being framed, and I know by whom. Stay tuned. Oh, and one more thing... I can't be turned, blackmailed, or corrupted. I'm also a bit difficult to kill. I'm sure this information will make me a target now, but you have foolishly forced my hand.
  17. And this is exactly what I expected. For some reason, we don't seem to be getting any investigating done, so we have no solid leads to work from. This is why I felt stuck voting by suspicion. As for what I know, I am aware of the movement of a member of the town, and it is suspicious to me, but I can't narrow it down. I was hoping someone would be able to confirm that today, but it isn't happening so far. I guess we keep waiting.
  18. I always warned people about the duck. No one listened. Yeah, and sadly, we may be on the exact same side. You want to wait for a while? Fair enough, there's no rush, I'm just getting a little jumpy at our constant losses in this situation. Unvote: Artie / Sandy Now here is the condition of this little truce. At what point do we act? If, like yesterday, no one steps forward with evidence, what do we do then?
  19. The duck thing is from a popular phrase that may not exist there, sorry if that was confusing. Life is a risky business, but we can either sit as it passes by or we can live. In situations like this, it's a common problem for the first few days, we're basically going on blind instinct. Since no one is stepping forward with anything better, we can only be sure of one thing, one of us will die every night and eventually we'll lose the town unless we do something. If you have an alternative, I'd love to hear it. IMPERANTE! And no, there isn't. There's exactly the same chance for any of us. It's how we narrow it down that matters. Do you have a helpful suggestion, or do you propose we do nothing? As for voting or not, avoiding voting indicates scum to me. Who else profits? They do, as we get killed one by one.
  20. You certainly ramble like scum, like Stephen before you. I wish innocent people didn't act so suspiciously, it only confuses us from getting the job done. You just can't be surprised when we take that as an indication of guilt. We certainly aren't being given much else to work with. I'm more than willing to unvote if I'm given a proper lead. Would you be so accusatory if I'd voted for Sal instead? I'm only a tiny bit less suspicious of him, but I had to go with my gut feeling and that was you. Sorry, you quack like a duck. Anyone have anything?
  21. I haven't seen you do any better. What have you brought to this situation to help? Nothing! We have to deal with what little we have, or would you rather just sit and wait for them to kill you? Maybe that would be good for book sales, but I like living, thank you very much. It's Imperante! Even the voice in the sky can't spell it right, dammit. And don't blame me, a lot of people have suspected you for days, if they'll step forward and speak the truth. Yeah, it means we'll have screwed up again, and killing me the day after isn't going to help, but we'll deal with that if it happens. I'm going to be positive today and hope we've finally got one right.
  22. You know what, Artie? I'm not sure I like that you're using the tragedy that this town is experiencing to write a book and make money... that sounds like something scum would do, trying to profit from the deaths of loyal townies. Plus, the last time I saw a town in a situation like this, the town drunk was also a writer and couldn't be trusted. I don't think we have anything anyway, so I'm going with my gut. Vote: Artie / Sandy
  23. Read the final day again, she killed herself instead of living without me.
  24. This is outrageous! What could Eugene have done to deserve this? It's bad enough to lose a townie, but we were wrong about Stephen and our vigilante didn't balance it out by killing scum, so we seriously lost today. We need to get more organized, figure out what we really know and what we can do to learn more, and start getting this job done before it's too late. *shakes his head* Even toast won't help this. I did learn something last night, but I'm uncertain how to use it safely. I think I know who one of the scum is.
  25. You never forget your first, eh Mary?
