They've already upped the standards for pirate minifigs with double-sided torsos and the printed shakos, so we'll never see a simple figure like this return, as much as we wish they would. If pirates continues into 2010, I do expect a new faction and bluecoats would work fine for that, but I think they would definitely match the new ones as said earlier.

What you're seeing is the repeating background under the banner. If you rightclick the troll and 'view background image', you can see the whole thing. It's there for people who use really wide desktop sizes. My EB paycheck is late this week. I've already called EB International Bank and they assure me it's a clerical error and will appear shortly, but shortly doesn't pay the bills.

It's basically impossible. The only way to chrome the parts is as a surface application, so it is at least as prone to wear as printing, probably more since it makes the part microscopically larger than it was previously. That means that any contact point will peel. It's very likely. Lightsaber handles do it in the middle where they hand snaps on and off, it just rips the chrome off eventually. I've never noticed a problem with the coins, but I usually just throw them in a chest and don't touch them. Anything else will rub off at contact points. I've noticed that under the exhaust pipes, they use some odd colours, which makes it even more obvious when it goes wrong. If they'd put that metallic silver armour colour under there, it wouldn't be so bad, but some of mine are yellow and red, so it really sticks out. You can't really stop it except to avoid rubbing of any kind, which means that once a figure holds a handle, don't remove it, etc.

Don't forget... when you go to these grand openings, take a friend and pick up a spare promo set and any promo brick they may have (usually for the build event part of the opening) and then PM me and we'll make a deal.
