usually i don´t care about prices at Bricklink but Ledako is selling Mortesv´s moc as his own design: ebay - He claims to be the designer of MOC and instructions: "Ich weise darauf hin, dass es sich hierbei um kein offizielles Set handelt. Ich habe diese Bauanleitung mit ldd (Lego digital designer) erstellt und selbst gebaut. " I just hope Bricklink won´t remove my hint fast and most people see this before buying from someone like him.

the rough 1st version - Part count ~460 for one engine. 4x4 Dish is too small 6x6 is rare but imho the better choice if placed a bit more outside than in the current version. The cylinder is nearly empty beside some structural elements. Sorry for bothering you with WIP Pics.
-
Makes no difference imho you can use both versions.

@Anio, would you share the LDD File?

I also bought 41747s, 4 pieces around 17$ thats much but "ok" for me. the prices at the moment are ridiculous. BTW: i like this render thing...
-
Someone has obviously cornered the wedge market. You can easily substitute those parts with only little optical difference. For 41747 = 1x 3039 + 1x 43710 For 41748 = 1x 3039 + 1x 43711 All parts are available for a few cents. Those 3 parts 41762 LBG are easy to substitute as well. In the end i substituted those with 4x 24593 mounting is possible, just another 1 Stud mounting.

Made some modifications especially on the backside and added some depth and greebling inside the wings.

Sets with good value per brick/piece count
Midlife-crisis replied to RobBoyle85's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Absolutely, compare the 10129 Snowspeeder and the 75144 similar partcount. If you bought 10129 you got "big" bricks and plates, while the 75144 now has plenty of small pieces < 4x4 studsize. Not talking about the "common" 10030 part prices ... in 2018 -
try: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=44675&name=Slope, Curved 2 x 2 No Studs, 3 Side Ports Recessed&category=[Slope, Curved]#T=C This part is common in LBG

This is what i ended with yesterday - the Reder took some time. The canopy is not optimal for sure and never was.

have spend some time rebuilding it, the ratio is better now. The drawn line is a bit too short because of the angel, but considering this the ratio is 1.65 - 1.7 the model is also a bit more chubby.

Hello Jerac, thank you very much for your answer, and the time you spent to demonstrate the scale differencies. It was indeed helpful, learned some things. Unfortunately the bottom line is, i have to change the whole model, as it is overall too wide...

It seems someone had the same thought :)

Rebrickable link. During building my own A-Wing, some smaller design issues appeared a handful parts are different but the good news they are all common. Here is the link to the partlist: http://filehorst.de/d/cDvBHclc I offer the instructions for a 5€ fee to get rich quick https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11825/G-Vortex/a-wing-midi-size/#comments

Lovely, immediately recognizeable.

This is my latest try, i also tried to make the 1st ring after the cockpit 5 studs wide. but this looked really shitty on the model.
