LEGO Ninjago 2025 Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think we'll find out more about what legends actually is soon. Because the official reveals of the summer sees has stated now and I imagine they'd have given some context alongside the pictures, at very least the set descriptions, when it's the truly official reveal.- 750 replies

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
In my head there 3 categories- 1- Minifigs, which are actual minifigs made of minifigs parts. Only Threepio and the Jaws in this set. 2 - Characters, which are made of specialised and/or printed parts. In this set that would be : Babu Frik, R7, BD-1, the SBD and maybe the BD 3 - builds that happen to be characters, which are made of ordinary parts maybe with a simple printed brick or tile. B2-EMO, The Buzz droid, the pit droid, the candy cane mouse droid, the Treadwell droid, the probe droid, the X-mas tree medical droid, and the gonk droid in the Advent calendar would fit into this category Now I think these aren't perfectly clear cut. Something like a standard battle droid straddles the line between categories 2 and 3 because while the parts were initially specialised, all of the bar the head are now seen as standard building parts and all are simple unprinted parts ( something like minifig torso or legs were they have joints and are made of several sub parts like hands and arms are what I consider complex parts, or things like dual moulding or the springs inside some launchers.) and something like Minecraft's creeper or Enderman straddle the line between categories 1 and 2. Eggman id personally put in category 1 but skeletons I tend to put in category 3, but I can see how that isn't clear cut. On a different note, looks like the set has enough spare parts to made a second colour mismatched B1 battle droid. -

A great wave, truly. Do we have UK prices? Yeah, since they're clearly intended to combine it's a shame they've got quite a few minifig overlaps between the 3. -

I wonder what colour they'd use for them? Earth orange, standard orange or the new Tomato Soup orange? -
2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Agent Kallus replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's not that they aren't to my taste, I think they're fun and cute ( could've done without the eyelashes though) and the pink one clearly wants to take Charlie to candy mountain. However it was disappointing as I'd foolishly expected more neutral realistic colours that would have been more useful in a greater variety of contexts. The foal from the AC isn't the most readily available, however I do actually have a fair few Cupid wings as I did buy several Cupids for the grecian style torsos for Ithacans . Aren't we all? Very true! -
Blathers! And a frog villager ( the best type of villager), I'm still undecided on terms of budget but the museum (and the Celeste set to go with it) might be the first set/s I pick up for myself rather than as a gift for others.

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
While BvS is a terrible excuse for a movie indeed like that Batmobile ( though I didn't like the way the guy Zach pretended was Batman used it) so if it was a cheap enough set I might look out for it. A nippled batsuit figure would definitely be something to add to the collection too! While unlikely it is possible that we get the batman minifig from this set in a magazine, that'd be great. In fact that the Lego batman magazine exists proves in someway they that do still know kids like Batman (at least in Europe anyway) so I can't really see it becoming an icons subtheme. I know you don't get the magazines in the US but they're very Kiddy and I typically immediately recycle the whole thing except the include Lego, but despite having very little to draw from Batman is one of main 'Lego magazines', it's stocked more frequently than the technic, creator, Disney princesses or Jurassic world ones and is about on par with Spider-Man/Avengers ( that one alternates), Ninjago legacy and Friends. The only ones I sticked more frequently are the main Ninjago one, the Star wars one and the Minecraft one. So what I could almost see happening to the theme instead of becoming just icons is becoming Icons in all but name but with random 4+ sets as well to target the younger demographic, but relatively nothing in terms of regular sets. We've still got Arkham left to see, no? Or has it leaked that they've cancelled that set or something, I don't know if that'd even surprise me. -

It does look really good, only one fig is lame and I'm afraid to see the UK price. I'm definitely not getting it though, I already have a fair few Batmobiles and there are other more interesting things coming out. -

I've got mixed feelings on the AC, a lot of cool droid builds ( B2!!!) and the new Babu plus another BD-1 and a white BB8! but on the other hand only 2 proper minifigs is kinda pathetic, the HP one has 8 minifigs!?!!!! Same here! But when I got through I had terrible trouble actually placing an order. I'm still in Japan but I was ordering on the UK website for it to be sent to my house. Couldn't get a text to authorise my card and PayPal was playing up but I managed by pay by buying and then using a 3 gift cards. Phew. -

I wasn't even a child in the fandom when phantom menace came out. I wasn't even born til later on that same year. So no, but it's hardly fair to pretend that means I don't know what I'm talking about. And I've heard all that about how the prequel hates saw so much worse. But that's kinda irrelevant, the question isn't how much it's hated, it's if it could have a renaissance, and sure it could but I don't think it will, at least not to the same extent. And it is a question. Everything is a question, certainty is a luxury only some can afford. For all we know the sun could explode tomorrow or a meteor could trigger armageddon, so no it's not guaranteed. Indeed, an overcorrection I personally think. The Last Jedi isn't a favourite of mine but it's leagues ahead of episode 9. -

I won't argue with you about the Accolyte here, we don't all have to like the same things, but I wonder what the opposite of that phrase would be? Catching arrows like Boromir? -

And they all should have! Imagine it! Small duel sets with Dooku V Yaddle, The Fourth Sister V Bariss, Grevious V night sisters! Other sets too! The City gate with Admiral Thrawn, Pelleon, Rukh and Morgan Elsbeth, ¡ɟlǝsɹǝɥ ssǝɹʇuǝΛ puɐ uɐluᴉnQ 'uɐʍ-ᴉqO ɥʇᴉʍ pǝʌᴉʌǝɹ sᴉ ɾɾɐs∀ ǝɹǝɥʍ ǝldɯǝʇ ɹǝʇsᴉs ʇɥƃᴉN ǝɥ┴, the animal with baby Ahsoka and her mother! I could go on! Even visions could've gotten something! Okay the shirts are all very separate but now that we know 'the Ninth jedi' is getting a full show it could get some coverage! I mean this is something that they'd have so much more room to do if they didn't dedicate so much of the line to sculptures instead of playsets. I've said it before but they could make a separate umbrella line that contains multiple licences ( like brickheadz, Bricksketches or Art) for the prop replicas and the like, and that's where they could put your Bo Katan Helmet, your Dobby's sock, your Batman's left glove; or whatever. Both, Both is good! I mean if I could pick only character to be made from the Accolyte I'd actually go with Vernestra. Which is a little ironic as his they portrayed her was one of my leat favourite parts of the show but she's a great character in the books and so if be able to give a duplicate some purple hair and brown mid legs to make her book version. Tanalor is mine!!! But on the topic of Jedi fallen order; Lego has been getting more and more into videogame stuff. Minecraft had been going a while but now they've picked up Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, Horizon, maybe Arkham in the new Asylum set. So maybe they'll finally take the chance and do a stinger mantis for the third game. I'm gonna agree with @Clone OPatra here. Personally I've really enjoyed the vast majority of what Lucas film have put out under Disney however the sequel trilogy is a pretty glaring exception!Episode 7 played it too safe in terms of story but especially in terms of aesthetics which means this era lacks a lot of it's own iconography! The biggest thing with the while trilogy is how they basically rushed it out, leaving it 'undercooked', tight deadlines were put on Lucas film by Bob Iger and now i almost feel glad that they're taking their time and allowing delays for future films, hopefully they won't be such a mess. Episode 9 is the only star wars film I actively dislike and I don't want a repeat of that! As Clone OPatra says the lack of unique iconography and ambitious storytelling give this era less of a chance to receive the prequel treatment. Tie in content does exist but it is sparse. Resistance is an okay show but it falls below it's peers, partly due to restrictions made on its storytelling options as it was made alongside the films unlike TCW that came after. The show did do some things right, the First Order has far more of an intimidating presence here than the empire ever did in Rebels, a star destroyer meant so much more, Tam's turn to the first order is excellent; however the show never really captured the imagination the way Rebels, The Bad Batch or The Clone wars did. I didn't fall in love with the show or it's characters unlike the others I've mentioned, and I'm not alone here, resistance will never be to the sequels what The Clone wars was for the prequels. I hope the Rey movie is in a properly distinct new era, not just a continuation of the sequel era. I'm sorta in a similar camp ( except it's my sister who pays for Disney plus ) but the main non- Lego star wars stuff I buy is books. I'm planning on reading more Legends stuff once the high republic wraps up. I mentioned getting the Dagan Gera Black Series figure earlier, but he's my first black Series figure, though I do plan on getting more. I did not know there was a second season or film in (presumably pre-production) the making, I stand corrected. Hopefully the battlepack is still in production when they are released. I think a lot of us would have liked more massable Pre-Mor guys! Though I'm sure we are all weirdos here anyway . Season 2 is filming now for a release next year, so I'd expect the set the set to still be on shelves for it. The Maul mech also has it's suspected shelf life line up with his show's planned release. -

Well the night trooper Stormtroopers were quite prominent in several episodes and are set to return in the next series and probably the film so I'm glad to get them ( TBH between the magazine and some mid range sets with a 3+ troopers I think stormtroopers are in desperate need of a BP right now, I'd rather see other more unique imperial units like purge and incinerator troopers) the main problem is the trooper ratio as the death trooper ones are way less common in the story. Si ce they're bumping the price up and the ship seats 5 they could've done 2:3 or even bwtter 1:4 Ohhh, thanks for pointing this out! And the Accolyte doesn't even get that, it would be a very significant bone indeed!! As a big fan of the high republic book fan I know they're not gonna make book based sets but it's real shame the only high republic tangential content they've covered in YGA and the figs are very cartoonised making it hard to reporpose their parts, I mean given what the show is it's understandable and it's nowhere near as bad as the TCW faces of my youth. I'd give Tanalor for set with Dagan Gera! ( I might have just bought his black series figure today!!) To be honest I think I got into both at about the same time! So if have a hard time slotting myself into either camp!! Star wars is far from the only theme I follow and I do enjoy creating my own things, but saved up to go Japan because Star Wars Celebration was gonna be there ( I mean I already wanted to go but that was made me start planning) so I consider myself deep into both camps! I think the problem is here is that Lego noticed Adults like and buy their sees so they made sets just for adults but the type of adults that were already buying the sets and that would be part of a Lego fan community like Eurobricks already like what they made before, so the sets they made because of Afols are actually more targeted at people weren't already adults fans of Lego. Of course there's plenty of 18+ sets that I adore abdvim sure many of us feels the same. But I do think 'traditional' minifig playsets should be the bread and butter of the Lego group. Yet considering how we've seen this process progress their current modus operandi must be working out for them, even if it's not what we like to see. -

Different characters but isn't that basically what happened in the Bad Batch season 2 finale RIP Tech -
Historically American newspapers charged advertisers by the letter. This is why in the US they spell 'Colour' as Color and is also the reason for many such shortenings of word spellings. Perhaps this is a case of the opposite where the set naming team gets paid by the letter. TBH I'm surprised it took this long!

I mean it's easier for Lego to reuse existing figures than print new. So hopefully not all of the new and exclusive death star characters will stay that way! -

I did! Though don't expect CMF styled figures as I only used parts and prints available on LDD. Here it is Thanks for bringing it up @Mandalorianknight, it was a while I did that so it's nice that you remembered! When I get back home to the UK I plan to start ordering parts for an IRL trident assault craft so hopefully more will come of that! Yeah if the selection turns out to Bacara, Mundi and 2 marines then I'm not sure your better than usual line makes much sense! A shame they couldn't have given us this as a TBB set with Crosshair, Orn Free Tar, Howzer and more.
