LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
Agent Kallus replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think each of the three things works best from a different approach. The plastic pauldrons sound good to me. Capes are one area where they've not come up with a better solution than cloth ( though I have preference for the type of cloth! That being the slightly sponger material they started using in 2014). And for Kamas I still think printed is best (obviously going all the way around with dual moulding too would be even better), the cloth kamas were too bulky and awkward looking IMO and the 2008 plastic ones were cool for the time but really limited the poseabilty of the figs using them. A lot of detail that is at the same level as clone kamas is printed on in other contexts and themes, so printed ones feel more consistent to other Lego minifigs to me. -

Probably just show taking it apart at the official joins, so legs torso and head. They could also include his head alone as an extra in the appropriate scenes. -

Ah, I see it now! That makes perfect sense!!! Still 81 has got to play into it somewhere? Maybe the main build uses 81 pieces. 81 might seem small but maybe it's the sum total and the average minifig uses about 5 parts so once you've subtracted the 2025 minifigs you have a net gain of 81 parts! So following on from the assumption that the average minifig uses 5 parts then I'd X - 5(2025) = 81 then because 5*2025 = 10,125 then X = 81 + 10,125 = 10,206. So the perhaps the build uses 10,206 parts? It's the perfect number because when you add up the individual digits you get 9! 9th day! 9th month and a year with a digital root of 9! 999 Arkham is crazy, so flipping crazy! Wait flipping? Flip 999 and you get 666! The number of the beast! KGB beast might be included then? Edit - I thought I was in the Aslume thread... Whoops -

It'll be interesting to see the ones for those that aren't getting Lego minifigs in this wave. -

I've been stacking neck attachments since I was 5 years old. The official looks for the 2000's Pirates imperials was both epaulets and backpacks. I mean each to thier own but I don't think it looks bad. -

That's the double edged sword of leaks isn't it? Sometimes we are better off not knowing what we are missing!! -

These look great!!! Eh, if we are subbing one out I'd say Cyborg soider-woman rather than Sun Spider. Since they did do a very similar (admittedly without the CMF budget add-ons) cyborg spider m-man for a recent book. -

I suppose something like that when empty with just a clip without the sword would sort of look like a beak, which could make for some interesting bird people designs ( though I imagine if they went that route it would probably be trans clear). -
Could Simpsons line of Minifigure series or Sets return?
Agent Kallus replied to Vitruvius's topic in LEGO Licensed
Pretty sure it uses prints but the yellow box GWPs often include exclusive prints ( taxi prints for the Avengers Tower, cerebro stuff for the X-Mansion and so on) I don't think that would mean anything. That said I think a house isn't too unlikely as it's been a while and it is the big main thing to do. I'm sure Marge and Maggie will be made again soon either way. All I want to see though, is Seymour and Chalmers so I can make a steamed hams diorama! -

My predictions - 2 Full waves of DC playsets in both winter and summer. - Small display set wave in march - 18 sets overall spread across different sizes and price points but leaning towards cheaper affordable sets with unique and interesting builds and characters. - Plenty of non-batman coverage with line being about 50/50 batman stuff and other stuff. - 2 4+ sets Separate from what I've guessed above - Multiple different lantern corps represented with more to come - Who am I kidding, like me and @Mandalorianknight have said 4+ is one of the few things keeping them from folding Batman into Icons. Other sets seems less likely by the day. -

I'm interested to see how they do Zorro's mouthsword since the leaks said they're including that. A head with a 3.18 bar cutout could have other interesting applications. -

I think the 327th looks pretty great. All it really needs is daily molding for the kama to wrap around. -

Having multiple accessories on one neck honestly wouldn't look to bad. I don't see how this would be worse than when combining cloth and plastic neck attachments which always tended to get crumpled or folded weird when put under backpacks or the like. I think there was a rumour about cloth Kanas returning. Personally I'd rather printed ones myself anyway though, going back to cloth now would be a backwards step IMO. Of course in an ideal world printer Kamas of a different colour to the legs would utilise dual moulding on the legs so the kama goes the whole way around, but for that to look go they actually have to apply a stronger layer of white paint than they have been lately (and we know they can as this didn't used to be a problem). Absolutely, well in an ideal world it'd include a full complement too but we're not even asking for that now, just a decent amount of space in the holding bay! Though B1s aren't proper minifigs so expecting a large amount of those wouldn't be as unreasonable as with stormies. Yeah, the droid carrier was what brought it to mind but the most egregious examples aren't from star wars. Castle is another favourite theme and the only small sets it's getting lately are trapped as GWPs. So not really a Star Wars complaint but I guess I'm just getting a little jaded on the while GWP exclusive sets idea in general. Interesting that you say this just as TLG are introducing a new yellow shade (Ochre Yellow). So far it's only been seen as a friends pony's mane and tail. But I like to think TLG learned their lesson on making extremely limited use colours so hopefully we'll see it more widespread soon enough. Maybe even on Bly? Definitely agree here. Sand troopers in particular with both the Pauldron and a backpack will have less of that weird overhang chin. -

Honestly looks better than I was expecting, not as bulky or awkward. I'm not the biggest fan of soft goods on minifigs so I think this is a positive development. Hopefully Kamas will go this way too, we don't need a pathetic little bit of cloth for them, I prefer them printed on ( ideally they'd use dual molded legs to have them go all the way around though). -

While this is no excuse for lower troop capacity I expect the MTT's rack to have some needless internal detailing that could be removed to accommodate greater numbers. I mean the 2024 GWP set only held six but clearly had the space for so many more, double that easily. Also side note but is anyone else tired of GWPs that really should just be small sets with a regular release. It's annoying here in star wars but it's downright painful for castle when they get no small to medium sets but there are designs for smaller sets but TLG has locked them all into being GWPs. Infuriating if you ask me. -

Imagine instead of little cars they'd done an actual CMF for may this year, regular star wars might not work because of the sets using the main cast ( though they aren't this year!) and I'm an avid reader of star wars book so... Star wars books CMF 1: Mara Jade ( rebel) from The Last Command 2: Quinlan Vos (Admiral Enigma) From Dark Disciple 3: Ransolom Casterfo (Senator) From Blood lines 4: Rukur Geepta (with Vuffi Ra) From the Star Cave of the Thonbonka 5: Muurgh ( shirtless) From the paradise snare 6: Lourna Dee ( Post Nihil) from Tempest Breaker 7: Avar Kriss (Legacy run disaster) From Light of the Jedi 8: Joruus C'Boath (mad) from The last Command 9: Cyni (Nightswan) from Thrawn 10: Elzar Mann ( complete body armour) from Trails of the Jedi 11: Noghri (Villager elder ) From Dark Force Rising 12: Marchion Ro (eye of Nihil with sequence code tattoo) From Temptation of the Force. -

I mean I could understand that, the movie might call some cool moments but the plot is an inconsistent self contradictory mess so much so that it always puzzles me when people say X movie is the best marvel movie since endgame. It'd be saying this is best thing that has happened to me since that herring gull shat on my hoodie. Surely every moment that bird didn't poo on you was better? The only post endgame MCU projects that I've like less than it were werewolf by night ( controversial pick I know), Secret invasion ( I couldn't even force myself to finish this one), Antman 3 ( where as the first one is top tier, this one is a better story than endgame but doesn't have those fun moments endgame has). Echo and daredevil born again I haven't seen yet as I'm waiting till I catch up on netflix daredevil first. -
Seeing it like this just confirms what's I'd already suspected, which is that this just doesn't work for me. The backdrop with the flames and changing shades to show their illumination is cool but it's the balrog itself that doesn't feel right.

LEGO Ninjago 2025 Rumours and Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I believe dragons rising is set to be a 5 season run but it's basically 10 as all are in 2 halves (and each half gets a set wave and new designs ( well season one didn't but we can chok that up to early installments weirdness). But they've already confirmed that they plan to continue after Dragons rising. And I'm sure the that planned live action movie will gets sets which will be weird.- 750 replies

Thought you were going say AtLA had no sequels and I was ready to fight tooth and nail to defend The Legend of Korra. But the live action adaptations, yeah they're both pretty bad, the show is better than the movie but still totally misses the soul and spirit of the show. Tempt tempt, temptey tempt tempt. Ah temptation. Is this working? You feeling tempted? And they're saving the rex for his memorial. Then again Titlecard is the show I've watched that

Well as out comrade 'The Blasphemous Sponge' ( @BrickBob Studpants praise be Mara Jade) has evidenced, there is precedent for sets turning out better than rumours suggest. So I won't write anything off till I've seen it. If I was to hazard a guess I'd say it was probably one of the Aslume gang as threats to raid Billund (undeservedly IMO) were a running joke over there. So that would be one of CloneCommando99 Lego Nostalgia, Mandalorian Knight, THELEGOBATMAN, Myself or Swordy. At least I think that's the main overlap between those 2 theeads. Fair enough, I suppose for me it was that a star destroyer like that is very much something they've done before, where as a totally different take on the death star with an interior focus would be something new ( okay there's the chasm swing and Obi-wan's sabotage sets but they're much smaller). -

I imagine it'll have a stand integrated into it's base. It's funny because I'm almost definitely not gonna get this set ( unless it's around for ages and I feel richer in the future, I mean I drop an ungodly amount on Lego already but an £1000 set! I think I'd rather spend my money on multiple smaller sets (and you know essentials like bacon, toothpaste, pasta, loo rolls and orange squash)) but I'm more excited to see it than some other sets that I probably will end up purchasing.
