DC Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Agent Kallus replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, I said that before we had pictures and was already humbled by said pictures -
I remember reading an interview that suggested minifigures were originally on the table but both Nintendo and TLG liked the Digifig idea more than traditional sets, the new sonic sets look to be the best of both worlds there though ( decent looking builds and traditional(ish) minifigs but with a course buildings element present (and non-electronic so cheaper and imo looks more fun)

I'd say tied best post-infinity war film, IMO Endgame is not a benchmark of quality ( unless you are just using it as a benchmark of MCU eras) it has some nice moments but as a whole feels shallow and weak. Why'd they use the 3*3 circle tile in the middle? There's still a massive hole there? They probably could covered it up if they'd used a 2*2 with a 6*6 rounded plate on top. -

That explains Keaton sure, but what I think is that it's odd that's it's just returns. I mean for a set this size they really should of have things and characters from both movies, in fact for the price they could've done some really bonus figures like stuff from the 1989 comic like Billy Dee Williams two face or even stuff from the other 2 movies with Micheal Gough Alfred. I mean don't get me wrong, they've done the first Keaton movie stuff more and so if it had to only be one, I'd rather returns. -

So we seen all the August wave for Star wars now? My opinions haven't really changed, other than the 332nd pack looks like the battle packs of old, it's UK price better not too much more than the 501st specialists set. And the Yavin set's Y-wing is nicer than expected. I wish they do more sets at a smaller but still fig compatible scale. But the Yavin set still remains something I kinda want but probably won't get cause there are more things coming that I want more. Look at you telling me I'm wrong... And actually now I think about it, you make a good point, you are absolutely right and I was wrong. -

We haven't seen any traditional bigfigs in a while I'm holding out hope that the old style bigfigs are dead, and we can get something better to replace them. -

It might look hideous but have you thought about a chima head, not the the helmets that make them animalistic shapes but just the minifig head printed with the animal face. I don't think they did a raccoon but the skunk might be close enough, it'd work with either the mister freeze/Mysterio helmet or the Sandy Cheeks one. -

Yes it is... It's still only one minifig per set and only Boba is new, if you are only thinking about the minifig then imagine the price of a CMF. (£3.50 currently) the us price for these is $16. I mean imagine if you did buy it only for the minifig ( I do think there are some other nice parts here, at least with Boba and the trooper, the Vader one is the lamest in every way ( as in no new fig, or fig that it makes sense to have multiples of, least good looking build, least interesting parts, least useful printed tile on his torso, and so on)) and then the fig was in the Lego star wars magazine for a third of the price of the set. -

You really did, the whole Shadowbox concept is a waste but if they are gonna do they should've at least done it right, it needs contrast to work so black and grey against grey and black does not, does not, does not work! That would be worse, see above. -
Very nice captures the location well at a small scale.

Not enough contrast for the shadowbox idea anyway. -

Since, as we know, the Endgame set rumour is bogus, could that set not be spider verse or Guardians 3? ( I'd like legacy sets from the first 2 films at some point as well) or no way home lizard set? Or literally anything? (Maybe it's even DC?) -

Well I almost feel like pics came out just to make me look foolish. anyway the back wall plus the middle but look nice by basically half the set is pointless, making just that back half for half the price would have been a much easier pill to swallow. -

I'd argue that parts spent on the toilet and especially the cable car aren't wasted. -

I doubt it, but it's not far off now, let's wait and see. I think the Disney 100 sets might be a better example, because they did't tend to do minifigure sets for the classic animated movies, but they are now and we heard about the now said to be 2024 ones first. Also look at the tall neck, though it is marketed as a forbidden west set, there is nothing in that set that isn't from zero dawn, they just wanted to market it for the new game. I think another Legend of Zelda set before the Deku tree is possible but we have no reason to expect anything. P.S.(Barad-dûr was the dark tower in the survey leak and is Sauron's tower not Saruman's) -

Talking about Wolfpack, is there any credence to the idea that we will be getting Wolffe soon. There's a render of him with the fox and Rex that we are getting in the summer wave, so do we think he is on the way too? ( I know we've been told only Yoda and R2 but imagine if they snuck him into the Yoda Starfighter) -
