You see You seem to like Marvel. Get the Killer Croc set for the best Abomination big fig Lego will ever put out! (You asked for something positive!). I like the squad figs too and will regret the chompers as soon as they are out of the box.

So in the first Lego Movie, no pieces on screen moved in any way that actual lego pieces couldn't move in the real world. Are they throwing that out the window this movie? Because obv. big fig legs don't move. I haven't seen a screenshot that definitively answers this "brick physics" question, but the big figs are my biggest concern. In that huge rogues picture, Croc's legs look like they could be bending. Also, croc's head is a class lego croc head!

I was at one of my local Targets after finding our they still had 14 (!) of the 2015 Target Cubes on Brickseek. (DPCI 204-00-1716 if you're curious). The promos for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie have me excited that it may be good! And that automatically brings my attention (and my son's) to the "related" sets. I am already ruing the day we get the croc dentures of doom (pending our review of the movie), hopefully on clearance. But I don't get that Killer Croc big fig. It is really ugly and the weird sloped face makes me really uncomfortable. I may move Croc to be a stand-in for a marvel Abomination (where he seems better suited), but the Katana and Boomerang look great (and Red Hood too). Not too thrilled about the tank either, so hoping for a big clearance! However, the Harley Quinn/Deadshot set will be great when we get it (pending our review of the movie). You can tell I hope the movie is good, and appropriate for my kid to see, and I won't buy the sets unless at least on of those things is true.

An associate had to get them from the back of the store, and checked carefully to make sure he was allowed to sell them because "a lot of new Lego sets are in and we can't sell them yet". That means the new sets have arrived and are waiting behind the scenes!

I'm with you. I would like one forum with Rumors and Discussion based about sets based on characters from DC comics. I think that the movie forum should be merged with this one, maybe under a new title that covers them both. I mean, the movie wave is replacing a standard DC wave, so it makes sense to put them together. Even if minidolls, I want to read about all DC characters in one place. Doesn't that make some rational sense? Wouldn't that resolve the endless "your comments belong in another thread" we are going to get for the next 6 months?

He's right actually - there's a Han Solo and a Luke Skywalker in there. I use the more neutral "male" faces because: 1. otherwise all the female heads would be the same 2. not all female characters wear lots of lipstick, which is a problem with the female heads 3. I have very few female heads in light flesh - damn you Lego! But it's getting better.

Thanks again! Would love a dark blue face for Beast, or that hair piece in dark blue, but neither is available (I used to use a Captain America head for him!). And my son won't let me use any other hair piece on him! I am pretty happy with Jean Grey, thanks! I agree on the hips, so I swapped them for the hips that match the torso. And wouldn't you know it, it kinda sorta makes an X! But that piece you suggested, it would be great to have a bunch to give all my X-figs matching belts.

Thanks! I'll post more in the future. Daredevil's head is a problem, isn't it? I really wanted to use the horns, so could only go with a basic head. There aren't many heads in red, only two have masks with their mouths uncovered. I tried Captain Marvel, but it didn't look right - and it wasn't the lipstick. I also used NRG Kai, but I didn't like seeing eyes (he is blind after all). This is a compromise for now. Soon I will order some BL parts to build a Rogue based on suggestions here (first time I will have bought parts for a minifig this way) and post a pic.

Ok, so the color of the gem is the ONLY thing different about this figure. That mostly makes sense, but is also kind of weird. I CAN NOT SEE THE NEW LINKS!!! Nooooooooo!!!!!! When I click on the links for the Sanctum Sanctorum and the Tanker I just get the DC products landing page. Are you able to see anything? I wonder if it has been taken down already?

There was at least one bigfig made with a removable head from the Chima line. It's an odd departure from the norm, and not sure why they haven't done it since. It uses a normal minifigure head with an oversized Chima animal "helmet" over top. http://img.bricklink.com/ItemImage/MN/0/loc083.png

I'm not sure if you read my post before writing yours but we are saying pretty much the same thing.

I think it's worth remembering that Lego uses the movies and cartoons as guides as to what kids might be familiar with. My kids' eyes light up when I show them new Lego images with characters they know. So She-Hulk and Red Hulk really excited them, but Red She Hulk was kind of meh (to them). Ghost Rider HAS appeared on the cartoons. My son shouted out "From Agents of SMASH!" when he saw the first photos. Daredevil sadly has not appeared in anything lately besides the Netflix series. We've heard that the 2014 X-Men set sold poorly (I haven't seen that corroborated with sources) but the fact that there hasn't been an X-Men cartoon in many years probably hurts it. Scarlet Spider and Spider-Woman have both appeared on the Spider-Man cartoon, as has Vulture, and we are getting all of them in sets this year. Mind you the minifigs look NOTHING like the depictions in the cartoon for any of them (Spider Woman maybe) but it's still enough that kids will recognize the characters, and at least know if they are good guys or bad guys. Squirrel Girl HAS featured quite prominently on the Spider-Man cartoon. Good hope there! So has Agent Venom. So I put forth an obvious thought: Characters from the movies are very likely, and characters that have appeared on the TV shows are much more likely than those that have not. Let's keep our fingers crossed for more characters! This Hulk-centric set is really encouraging that Lego is branching out and giving us sets where the majority of the characters have never appeared as figures before, and two of those we have been hoping for for a long time (resorting to bootlegs and MOCs all the while).

Yes, I know. You are saying the opposite of what I am saying. The old helmet is less bulky and the new one is more bulky from where I am standing. In other news, do you think Lego is allowed to make Wolvie and Mags because they have before, and that's why they redo it so much? Like, less hassle to negotiate on the characters? Or do you think that the lack of X-Men cartoons on TV makes Lego think kids won't buy a set if it doesn't have Wolvie?

I would like to upvote this somehow, because three sets with Wolvie and Magneto is ridiculous. Second reason is that Captain Nemo is on and less grumpy than his pic!

That's probably a reference to a character named "Hellfire", an inhuman who weilds a flaming chain in one episode of Agents of SHIELD. Odd choice for a promo, given the easy confusion with GR.
