It's all speculation at this point. I would say there is plenty of evidence that it could be either, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion until we find out half of us were wrong when we see the box art. -

Hank Pym (or Vision with Blue gem) is exactly what I was thinking. Concept art with traditional coloring leads to purple-panted bananasuit. -

Purple and yellow are traditional comic book colors for the Ancient One (as google image search tells me), but not for Wong. I think that explains the color scheme. -

Love it all, but very confused and distracted by the purple overall on the yellow banana. -

Fairness aside, any idea WHY lego staggers worldwide releases this way? I'm trying to figure out how this makes sense from a business perspective.- 8,446 replies

The Brickset review has convinced me even more that this isn't solely inspired by the Brooklyn Bridge, but also by the Queensboro Bridge, which is the one featured in the first Spider-Man film. It's kind of a mix between the two. -

Thaaaat's the one! Pretty sweet! I was trying to say it is a "specific" cop, instead of a "generic cop" since I know it is Cap'n Stacy. But honesty, I never knew him as a character until the ASM movie, and that film is not my favorite. Thanks to both for the opinions about the set. White Tiger is a must for me, and Vulture is good too. I like lab coat Doc a bit better, maybe because I am partial to the SM2 movie. -

Yeah, I noted that at the time too, but I thought I would give them credit for coming close. That's also NOT the lineup of any team you could call the Web Warriors. Can you find the poster? -

I've been taking another look at the summer wave, and I have the following thoughts: The Ghost Rider set has been amazing from day one. The dual-molded head on GR is weird, but I'll get used to it, I used to think that the bridge looked meh, but the figures were great. I am starting the like the bridge more and more as I see it in promotional material. It looks pretty nice, packed with easter eggs, and would adds nicely to my Marvel NYC skyline (with Avengers Tower and Daily Bugle Communications tower). If I can afford it, or find a big discount, this is a set for consideration. The Doc Ock set looks like a mess to me. The mech is very big and very cartoonish (too much so even for the USM cartoon!), and doesn't mesh with the rest of the sets on my shelf. The minifigures are ok, but I don't need a specific cop, or a Dock Ock variant. The only real appeal is White Tiger (finally!) and Vulture (who is only ok, but may be in the next movie?), so I am seriously thinking about skipping it and just Bricklinking those two figs. Am I wrong here? Can someone convince me of something great I missed in the mech set? And I really am open to convincing, because as I said I wanted to skip the bridge initially, but seeing all the enthusiasm and details people pointed out in this forum has increased my esteem for that set. The one thing that came closest was a promo image of the Bridge Battle and the Mech sets together in an epic battle between the Web Warriors and the Sinister Six, but I can't find that picture at the moment. -

I wonder if the flame piece in trans-orange is too brittle so they glued it to the head to keep it from breaking? Does this mean the pumpkin bomb is also glued? -

I was agreeing with YOU and commenting on the previous post you were commenting on. (Tried to quote you both, failed miserably). Yes, companies are taking the right approach. Honestly, I think DC made a bad choice with the name originally, and WB is making a weird choice in titling the film that way, but I'm not a DC purist. How do you feel about Lego's BvS branding, considering how dark and murdery the movie is?- 8,446 replies

"The Suicide Squad is my favorite" is a really weird and unsettling phrase for uninformed adults to hear coming from children's mouths. Imagine a school teacher or counselor hearing that, or uninformed parents? Besides, we all know what it is even without the label on the box, so who cares if it doesn't say it explicitly?- 8,446 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

We've covered this before, but it is many pages back. Disney/Marvel are actively avoiding merchandising for X-Men and Fantastic Four, most likely because they don't own the film rights. They have been gradually scaling back merchandising for these properties, and have even begun revising artwork from the 80s to remove these characters when released on merchandise sold today. There have been two X-Men sets and one SDCC fig, but there is consensus that over the two years since the last one, the merchandising block has gotten much stronger. You would be hard-pressed to find lots of merchandise from 2015 with X-Men characters, especially compared to how much merch. is out there for Avengers family characters. Yes, they would make a lot of money if they made more X-Men stuff. We can speculate as to why they aren't doing that, but clearly they think it is in their interest not to. X-Men are probably getting less popular with kids as we haven't had an X-Men cartoon in many years for the same reason. On the plus side, with fewer toy/cartoon tie-ins, the X-Men movies can be more grown up, hence the R-rated Deadpool. Toy sales were off the table, so Fox could take a risk for a movie you can't sell toys with. The next Wolverine will also be R-rated. Unfortunately, we are not likely to get X-Men sets in the near future, if ever. MOC away! (Noticed I didn't answer your question, Disney/Marvel controls all merchandising rights, Fox only owns film rights and has struck a deal for limited TV rights.) -

I'm pretty sure CM4Sci is being ironic and poking fun at Hawkeye's Cap face. I like the fig, and recycled faces don't bother me. I recycle faces all the time to fill out MOCs (and torsos, legs, wigs, hats ...). I also swap pieces between figs of the same character, so I will happily swap an old HE face for a new figure. I will probably do the same for War Machine. And my AoU Cap is holding the original dark red shield. I want to hand my hawkeye an arrow, so I give him this piece in silver http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=18041&idColor=95#T=C&C=95 Any other options? Does anyone know if the new Hawkeye has a printed quiver on his back (like 2012 Hawkeye) or not (like AoU hawkeye)? I want him to have one, but the lego quiver looks a tad silly on him in brown or red, and they don't make the black ones anymore. -

I think 76053 Gotham City Cycle Chase already contains a pretty SS-inspired Harley Quinn, and the contents (if not designs) are clearly inspired by the movie with the inclusion of Deadshot as well. We're also getting Killer Croc, Cap'n Boomerang, and Katana this year, so I do think that's what TLG is thinking. http://brickset.com/...ity-Cycle-Chase You could also argue that Desert Batman from 76056 Batman Rescue from Ra's al Ghul is inspired by Knightmare Batman (if I am thinking of the same thing), especially since it was such a big part of the early trailers. http://brickset.com/...om-Ra-s-al-Ghul Neither of these are actual versions of the movie characters, but Lego may think they are close. I would bet on something completely different. SS Joker is possible, as is any SS character not in Lego form this year (Enchantress? El Diablo?). Imagine an exclusive Doomsday? If you're thinking tv shows, Firestorm would be awesome, especially with the new flame hairpiece, so I hope they DON'T do that!- 8,446 replies

I was quoting the Lego movie. It wasn't a serious comment. Next time I'll put a wink in Plus my favorite batman version is the blue/grey version from the 80s(?). As far as I know, that color scheme only appears in the Juniors sets? But that makes the new Jrs set appealing to me, as I also need a (powersuit) Lex, and this one looks pretty good.- 8,446 replies

Not saying you're wrong, but aren't all Spidey costumes (other than blacks symbiote) slight variations on the classic comic book costume? How could the costume be improved over what we have already gotten? Yes, it's boring to get the same fig so many times, but what do you actually want to see? I like full arm printing and printing on the sides of the legs always blows me away because it is still so rare. I think arm printing on Spidey would look really nice. The other thing they could do is different facial expressions. The Mighty Micro showed how well that can work when done well, and many figure variants in other themes vary only in facial expression (e.g. Emmet from TLM)
