Thank you :) yeah it really is my favourite, including the queen annes and the imperial flagship. The hull peice as a stern has actually been a bit of a weird one for me lately, I’m redoing an armada flagship and have opted to use arch bricks for the stern, where as for the barracuda it was the closest analoge to the original stern. The armada flagship is actually proving to be increasingly difficult to modernise as the process is involving a bit of upsizing and iv not even considered the sails yet :/

Hey guys, iv always loved the black seas barracuda, and last year decided to try remake the kit from my childhood. I got as far as bricklinking the the hull and masts before realising that to have an original would be financially unviable because I wanted it in mint condition. Thus I realised that if I was to have one, I needed to reimagine it. With the brick bounty having redbeard at the helm of his new ship, I tried to imagine how the ship would look many years later, with a newer more tenacious crew. That is a great zemo solution, I used that exact combination when I made mine! I used visions head. It works surprisingly well.

That world war hulk is amazing! I love the different shades of green and how you've blacked out the sculpted lines! Looks really awesome. Regarding kingpins colour it's citadel elf flesh... Or dwarf flesh, I forget which I used... But now I think about it I'm leaning more towards dwarf. And thanks all for the praise. I plan to build a "blob" next.

Iv started this topic for anyone to post custom marvel or dc bigfigs they have modified or built, ill start off with my first and my second. (a third is in the works) ok, so the first was based on a third party (thing) bigfig and i quite unsuccessfully tried to fill in the textured gaps due to my liking of the overall shape, however i am thinking of a second attempt at this one. so here is kingpin: my second attempt was a little more successful and im quite happy with how it turned out, its one of my favorite villains of all time, i used an official bigfig of green golbin, and made... doomsday: would love to see anyone elses and comments and criticisms are welcome :)

Hello folks, Since seeing the early preview images of the avengers tower i knew i had to modify this kit to be a little more grandiose than the official release, and to keep it fitting with my modular city, I made a few simple modifications. Hope you all like and inspires you to build bigger and greater versions :) So first a few over all pictures: Due to harsh financial times, the first floor has had to be hired out to some shady characters... I chose to keep many of the cool play features which for me made this kit spectacular. Looks like jarvis is tracking the action in gotham also. and finally a picture of it along side a few other modular buildings, which made its height seem a little more tower like. Hope you all liked it, id love to hear your thoughts, ideas, criticisms and recommendations :) thank you

Okay so this is necro-posting if ever it was done but I finally put the majority of pieces together wanted to present to you all my finished arkham asylum, appreciating all constructive crit and the like. overview back view (with elevator slot) first floor and elevator second floor also contains the front of the front of the third floor too. scarecrows cell and the jokers padded cell ivys containment cell mr freezes climate controlled room killer crocs aquarium and that is the second floor. The third floor is made in a awkward fashion that turned out pretty well, but i know many purists will dislike its adherence to modular standard. seeing how it fits in and lastly the finished roof and improved bat signal

I bought this kit with the intention of modularising it and used the haunted house to do so, but as a modular parts kit, its actually fairly limited. That said modularised i think it turned out great.

I actually think last waves were better. A better span of figs, inspired original kits. Dcs recent efforts have been flawless. Even the dark knight returns and superman movie kits were better. We're literally getting two kits which are the same as last time. I wonder if people will still be happy buying the Quinnjet and jeep a third time for avengers 3?

I'm seriously disappointed in these. I expected a bit more from them considering the calibre of the other super heroes sets. I was hoping the hydra fortress would have a bit more of an "aim facility" feel and less of a classic castle using chunky castle pieces. If someone posted that on the castle forum it would receive a lot of constructive criticism, especially on detailing. The avengers tower kit is the most generic, boring, glass walled tower they could have possibly produced. The figs in the kit are uninspired and boring looking also. I think this is the most disappointing to me because I was considering buying 3 and modularising it. The Quinjet is another rehash, and considering we've had one already, it's left me a little bored. That said I LOVE the vision fig and the dark pink colour palette! Hawkeye and an off-roader? Seriously this is a joke right, a Quinjet that we've had and a black jeep weve already had.... Alright, I left this one for last because it had so much darn potential and just fell horribly short. Iv seen a few hulkbuster and they have all been around 200 pieces, including my own, rather than dropping hulks prison and dropping the ultron drone and making the hulk buster a decent kit, they opted for this... Not terribly impressed but I'll buy it for the hulk buster head piece. Now this year lego marvel are going up against dcs brilliant next wave, I know these are for a film but they could have slipped in animated tv show characters, or comic characters which would have elevated the sets even higher, rather than adding repeats of captain America or Thor, or ultron drones. But that's just, like, my opinion man.

I hate to ask but is there any chance of a parts list and ldd file to reconstruct this beautiful build?

The scale in the leaked still from the private detectives office makes me think that it will have no play features. I imagine a high piece count using plates to create the landing details on deck. Other than that, I seriously doubt we will get anything more than a Coulson, fury and hill fig. I'm severely disappointed in both this kit and the tumbler released this year and I know I for one will most likely pick up knock off figs rather than pay 400 bucks for two horribly out of scale abominations that won't look good next to any other models in the line.
