I built the Y-wing with my own part collection, but switched out some of the really rare pieces. For the brown tubing, I used 6L and 4L bars. MUCH cheaper. I had brick built engines in place of the white wheel. Looked a lot better IMO, as I was able to add a lot more detail, like scorch marks. And I greebled the whole thing according to the blueprints in the book "Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels." Sorry, no pics of it. But I will soon have pics of an Uglie based off that model that will be entered in the Anthology Contest. Good luck with yours!

Nice start. But could you please provide a few more pics from better angles, like side shot, bird's eye, etc.

I love those bar stools!!! They look great! I must try that IRL. Nice job on the whole thing, but you really nailed the style of furnishings!

[MOD] Y-TIE & TYE-Wing: Galactic Uglies
Leonardo da Bricki replied to Veynom's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I was searching to see if anyone else had made uglies from EU, cause I am building one for the SW Anthology contest. Great designs, I really like how you made the color schemes work. Just one thing to correct, your Y-TIE has no engine! But overall, very well done! -
Looking for 9.5L Shocks
Leonardo da Bricki replied to Leonardo da Bricki's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thanks! I checked, and I cannot get 4 from the same place. I don't want to have multiple orders, so I'm trying to find the very-hard shocks. -
Looking for 9.5L Shocks
Leonardo da Bricki replied to Leonardo da Bricki's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Okay, thanks Jim. I put it here cause I thought you needed 100 posts first. Guess I'll be shelling out more dough than I wanted to... -
I have been trying to find a set of four of the 95292c01 9.5L Shocks that came in the Unimog and 4x4 Crawler. Is there a place selling them for less than $50 (U.S. dollars) that anyone knows of? Is there anyone in the community willing to sell some? I will pay up to $6 and shipping for them, unless it is international. I have already trolled Amazon, eBay, Bricklink, and Brickowl. Please leave a reply if you have any information for me. Thanks!

Your tiling is terrific! And it is driving me nuts... I cannot seem to be able to replicate it... How is it done?
-
Ohhhhh... By number of studs square. Thanks for the clarification. My ship is now definitely in the Large category...
-
Thanks for the clarification! Yay! No baseplate needed! But how do I choose the category? If both numbers are over 32, 36x98 for example, that equals Large category, right? Anything where one number is smaller than 32, 20x60 for example, is in the Small category?
-
Question: If I build a spaceship that isn't square can it have dimensions like 32x50 studs? Or must a baseplate be used for the build?
-
Terrific! I would totally buy this set, not the cube that Lego made. Well done Ion cannon.

I think a Lamborghini Gallardo, Hurracan, or Aventador would be cool. Or a Bugatti Chiron.

What Hilt of LEGO Lightsaber you prefer?
Leonardo da Bricki replied to Nick6314's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would say old chrome, followed by black (I am a follower of the Dark Side). I have plenty of the others, over 20 of each, but use them for other things, like thruster arrays. I prefer lightsabers without bubbles.- 43 replies

[MOC] Gateway in to the past

I have tried to build a portal before, and you just threw all my best attempts out the window! Great job! -
Awesome! That is incredible!

Nice tree, but I really love how the plants come up through the stones of the road! Is the man's noose the rope from the rescue minifigure (I forget which Series)?
