  1. Fantastic review! I missed out on previous Y-Wings so I was really excited when I saw this one on the shelves. I was even fortunate enough to get this and the other Rogue One sets at a discount but I'd like to think that this one is worth the full price. I never actually measured the length and width to determine the scale but when it was finished it just looked so right. Building it was great except for the big stickers on the engines. If you manage to place them correctly it adds even more detail but big stickers are always scary. The greebling and the amount of details are beyond what I expected. I would have liked to see some long flexible tubes instead of the reddish brown bars but those work very well too. The use of skeleton arms for the angles at the cockpit was also very clever, definitely an interesting build. Very detailed Y-Wing that is not bulky or oversized along with some great figures. It is very swooshable and probably my favourite set from this wave. I agree that this is a must buy, especially for other unfortunate souls without previous Y-Wings in their collections.
  2. I'm fairly sure it's the head of March Harriet. https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?M=coltlbm17
  3. I used this head. Unfortunately it is dual sided so you will see the mouth and beard at the back of his head. I think it works very well despite that, though.
  4. My favourite out of these has to be the Clone Turbo Tank. I regret not picking up the Millennium Falcon, though.
  5. Unfortunately I missed out on this set before it was retired. Great review, you just made me feel even worse about it!
  6. I'm always amazed at how people manage to solve all of these angles. This is looking very great and clean so far, I love it! It's too bad that you don't want to share LDD files because showcasing one of these would be marvelous. I can definitely see why you don't want to and it's a very valid reason. This looks like it'll turn out great either way, keep doing what you're doing!!
  7. I really love what you did to the turrets at the front! This definitely looks like something I'd like to do to mine.
  8. Triple VIP points and First Order Stormtrooper just started here in Sweden. Was *really* hoping for Revan here in Europe too. >.>
  9. This definitely bring back memories from playing Battlefront when I was a kid. Picking a favourite is really hard, I love the colourscheme on the Republic one but there is nothing wrong with a fully grey one.
  10. The smooth surface definitely looks good! I'm quite jealous actually.
  11. Will the Darth Revan minifigure be US only? I missed out on it 2 years ago, had it in my cart but was told that they had run out when I finished my order. I have been waiting for something like this so that I can try to get my hands on a (another) Battle Droid Carrier and an Advent Calender. This would be a great opportunity but I'm only interested in the Darth Revan figure. :/
  12. I don't even know what to say. The technique you used for the head is usually not my cup 'o tea but I'm really liking this, I think you just convinced me to change my mind about it.
  13. I definitely prefer the chrome ones. But as others have said, it really is a shame how it wears off after time, I'm almost afraid to use them!
  14. I would request new stickers if they were peeling off the sheet straight out of the box, especially for any UCS set.
  15. I recently picked up the 75050 B-Wing. Let's just say that finding the center of a square never has been this hard and let's hope that the Rebel Alliance wont mind the crude placements. I found it really odd how these were round stickers and not squares covering the whole part, that would definitely have been easier. Oh and I don't dare look at the pieces from my old Exo-Force sets. Back then I didn't really mind the stickers at all so having put them on all those sloped pieces sure wont look that good! :P
  16. I've seen a lot of renditions of this vehicle now. I'm still not sure what the proper minifigure scale would be but this definitely looks great! This might just be my favourite so far, it just looks very clean while staying true to the features I remember from the show. Nicely done!
  17. I just found this now because it was bumped. Might as well add that these still look very cool. Now I wish I had a printer at home because I would definitely like to have some cool nose art on my Gunship too!
  18. *jaw drops*
  19. Very nice! I really like how you managed to make the round ceiling/wall (not sure what to call it actually) and how it cuts out so smoothly at the edge of the MOC. In my opinion, you hit the sweet spot with the amount of detail on the walls and roof. Definitely not cluttered but just enough small features here and there to give it that finished look. Since it is on Tatooine you could try to get a sandtrooper or two (does not need to have dust and sand all over, the clean looks works nice too). Other than that you really nailed the hangar look but I think a few containers of varying sizes along with some sort of small maintenance droid would be the cherry on top. Great job! Now I want my UCS Slave I to also have some cool hangar to land in when Boba Fett is preparing for his next bounty mission!
  20. I have not seen this ship before but it sure does look good! This smooth, bulky, flying gunbarrel is just very pleasing to look at. I especially like the ball (life support, or more weapons?) at the bottom and the greebling at the back. The size of the model is also very impressive, bigger is not always better!
  21. I got the Slave I but even to this day I also hate myself for not picking up the shuttle back then.
  22. I really like speeders like these! This definitely looks like something you'd see flying around Coruscant.
  23. I don't even know how to describe this, it's just that good. An excellent job!
  24. This thing just gets better and better!
