  1. There's so much that I like in this! The vegetation, the waterfall, the roof, etc. Excellent work, truly inspiring!
  2. I don't think I have actually ever bought stuff from LEGO to get a GWP before. But I'm very tempted to get this one, though. Hopefully I can pick up maybe the Viking 3-in-1 and something else. And I'm also curious if I have to "camp" at midnight.
  3. I'm not following here at all. I saw the statement from LEGO about increasing their prices (which sucks), but why is everyone up in arms about the price of a set that still hasn't even been officially unveiled yet? For all we know the only price point we have to go in is the original one from Promobricks, no?
  4. We don't have any "local LEGO stores" in Sweden, I think there's one in the entire country :c
  5. It was pretty much the first thing they (Promobricks) said during the livestream yesterday. They started talking about the Back To The Future video, and mentioned quite a few times that the castle we saw was indeed a prototype. They even made sure to say it in English *and* type it out in the chat. So for the actual set later this summer we will obviously see some similarities, and some parts that have changed drastically. End of discussion.
  6. Thus far the only thing related to the 90th Anniversary is the chat that keep asking for it. I really don't get the vibe that they have something too exciting to show, but I'm not really familiar with livestreaming stuff like this anyway. To be honest it just feels like a way to draw in viewers, keep teasing them, and then drop nothing of substance at the very end. Edit: I would be very happy to be proven wrong!
  7. I was only going with my gut, really. Granted, I have no idea who frequents the LEGO IDEAS webpage or not - but out of the three that one seemed to me like it could have the most appeal to "the general public". It feels like both the Viking Village and Marine Life might have more of a niche audience, while a lot of people have probably encountered Mini-Golf (and it looked as if there were some moving parts perhaps?). Don't get me wrong, I loved the Viking Village before and I still do. I really want it to win, but I also don't want to set any expectations that will make me disappointed and sad later!
  8. I cast my vote on the Viking Village. However, I have a strong suspicion that the Mini-Golf might come out on top.
  9. That is some clever use of the welding tools! I think you've done a really good job with the architecture and colourful patterns too, all in such a small space. Well done!
  10. Exciting news! I'm very much looking forward to that.
  11. Oh, how exciting! I had no idea a movie was in the works, that changes things.
  12. I think your second paragraph here raises a very valid point as to why D&D would be difficult for LEGO to "translate" into bricks. Personally I absolutely love the idea, but I'm also starved for any proper fantasy genre at this point - licensed or not.
  13. Ughhh. I was hoping they learned their lesson with the CMF Viking figure but I guess not. That torso looks sweet from the front, but the printed cape on the back looks absolutely terrible and ruins the piece for me. Seems like I have to stock up on red capes to go with them, or else I don't think I will be using any.
  14. This thing looks just as scary as the one that chewed me up on the High Wall of Lothric. And judging by the chain it seems you've got an excellent eye for details!
  15. Not gonna lie, I am very jealous of your children. I grew up playing with the Fantasy Era castle 7094 and your build has all the cool features that I loved. Archers on top of the front gate, siege weapons on the walls, collapsing walls and a dragon!!
  16. I am probably more excited about this than the actual advent calendar I bought for myself. Keep up the good work! :)
  17. I pointed out in another thread (actually just the previous page) that it looks Dark Brown too, very useful colour! :) I actually had no idea that there were already two variants, I have only ever seen the ones with thin clips. BrickLink has a comparison image too, and this upcoming saddle looks like the one with the thicker clip (that which I called O-clip). Looking through the sets I only really see the thicker clips in two sets: UCS Hoth from 2016 and possibly a Scooby-Doo set from 2015. The return of a saddle is long overdue either way haha!
  18. After having a closer look at the saddle, it looks to me as if is a new mould too! Don't the clips on the side look more like the newer O-shaped clips? I find it difficult to get used saddles with no broken clips, so I really hope that is the case.
  19. I'm also very excited about all these new animals (my wallet, not so much). I found the new horse, foal, kittens, squirrels and husky - but in what set did you see the new owl? And as for the saddle, it looks like dark brown to me. Granted I am colourblind, but it looks like there are some reddish brown pieces on the obstacle in the same set which look different. I've already got some reddish brown ones and would prefer it in dark brown too!
  20. I was intrigued by those new Marvel torsos too! However, I found them to be too sci-fi-ey for my taste and couldn't figure out any cool combos. I might have to rethink that now ... we'll see.
  21. Super excited about the Bard and the new foal mould! The mushroom is very cute too.
  22. I was in a semi-Dark Age when the Hobbit and LotR sets were on shelves (almost a decade ago!). I would love a second chance to pick up some of the iconic characters and some cool builds! Not to mention that the old figures still hold up really well but are incredibly expensive on the second hand market. :c
  23. It's nothing more than a poor attempt at gaining Instagram followers or whatever. Just ignore it. The link is indeed a poor picture of an Islander from the 90s on top of what I assume to be an even poorer picture of a supposed Snow Warrior. Even if it was real, I care very little for these "leaks" and I fully believe that this crap has no business here. Whatsoever. Rant over.
  24. Excellent work!! My favourites are the seamstress and beast master. May I ask how those amulets attach to regular minfigures? For instance I notice that you only equip them in conjuction with a cape for example. I have been looking for something just like that but these "mini doll" pieces seem to have gone right under my radar (for the past four years ).
  25. This gave me Dragon Age vibes, and I *love* getting Dragon Age vibes! Not that they have a monopoly on ancient magical ruins, far from it. Perhaps it's the colours or something. The moonbird looks amazing, the rocky wings look like actual wings. You hit a very nice balance with the translucent blue pieces too! And I also think that you have done the terrain very well. I especially like the fallen leaves on the ground, they look great on the rocky steps.
