Thank you Wout Nice, very good details you have described, sounds awesome Did you see any thing about the farmer with pig impulse? I understand the City Car and Octan truck but what exactly do you mean be reconstruciton truck?? Sounds like a telephone repair truck? Sadly we have to wait until March to get possible the best City set that year
  2. Nice I like the concept artwork, I had not seen that yet I recall voting for the train transit set The sets I can spot that have been released or will be - Sports Car - Bus from City Corner - Octan Tanker (next year) - Town Hall from Town Plan - Transportation Truck This also might be a hint at plausible future sets - The Taxi with Taxi stop - The blue tram/train
  3. Awesome prizes! *Pats donors on back* This looks like a really cool contest! I will have to brainstorm for clever ideas though hehe. What exactly is the pirate advent calender prize for though?
  4. That would be cool too Lets see, how much it would be. Math time!: 16 curved tracks make a complete circle Trans clear complete circle : $1,920.00 Red Track complete circle : $1,600.00 Imagine someone building a MOC that had an extremely large layout of red track and a town full of rare parts
  5. I have that set, was pretty cool, I liked the car and 100 dollar green printed tile Now reasons why LEGO will probably not do a set like this again - They have to pay some sort license fee or royalty for using Mc.Donald's brand and logo - Mc.Donald's is a controversial food restaurant because of its food (meat sources, healthiness etc.) - LEGO would not want to represent it in their products because of reason above - They can always make a generic restaurant like they did in City Corner Now Subway is much better
  6. Either that or LEGO is getting greedy I noticed with alot of sets they seem overpriced such as the Farm (only worth about $70) and Wind Turbine ($50) However I will buy them and by doing so I am ok with the luxury tax No problem, I was extremely fascinated by it. First major change to a LEGO cap in long time. I also noticed that this review was being worked on in the Academy forum, I really should check it more often for I didn't know you can get sneak peeks like this , also I could have mentioned the cap in the review there (hehe)
  7. I certainty hope it continues Is the 4WD considered farm? Klaus-Dieter, looks like we are in need of a "new ideas for farm sets" discussion :thumbup We have: - Farm - Tractor - Combine Harvester - 4WD jeep (?) - Wind Turbine (?) Looks like we will have: - Pig Pen - Farmer Impulse I think LEGO could think of some more ideas but not all at once, maybe 1-2 new sets a year Such as the chicken coop mentioned We always see Fire, Police, Construction as main sets Sub sets are usually rescue like Coast Guard and Tow trucks Those were actually good because we had not seen them in awhile Farm should be a sub part of City along with Civilian City sets
  8. Nice Review WhiteFang! This is another cool advent calender. Ice skates? Clever. If LEGO had let us down with fire and police sets the advent calender is a good way to add some civilians to your town. I also noticed that this one is a little more expensive by about $5. There are some really cool little sets included there My favorite is the mailman, and yes that cap is quite different, it is shorter and rounded Never noticed before? After doing some research on Bricklink I figured it out: Link According to BL it appears in 4 sets, one as an alternate (City Corner) The other sets are this advent calender, the Carousel (10196), and Wind Turbine Transport (7747) Very interesting.... Thx for review!
  9. Ah thanks, I knew there had to be a thread somewhere One of these days I have to start collecting these rare parts, (the first part to start with I would like to be a red johnny thunder hat) , however I am busy most of the time buying current sets I would like to see a complete circle of red rail track hehe Darth, you must have put in alot! I was doing the same and only came to about 20 something dollars, the most expensive thing was an all white spruce tree. One thing that bothers me is when I type in the word "special" in the store search box, nothing comes up, finding the parts by specific is harder and doesn't show me all the possibilities.

Heh , I wanted to see that picture of the pigs and farm but it was taken down from the Czech site. All the images have been replaced with the theme logos instead. Thanks for the info on the sets! The impulse sets sound really awesome, especially the farmer. I only question the use of the overall torso again, as that has been in the other 2 farm sets. However this will be an easy way to get the pig The traveler sounds really cool too! I love these civilian impulses, now I wait for pictures
  11. Hello, I searched for a topic like this but couldn't find an actual official topic, so I thought it would be a nice place to store all the pictures and accounts of rare or unusual parts. If there is a topic just like this and has been recent, feel free to close/lock or merge Anyway, Rare parts have always interested me and I thought it would be a nice idea to start a topic about them and everyone can to add pics or notes about them. Here are some parts I find extremely odd: Here are the ones I know of Red Train Track (straight) Red Train Track (curved) Trans Clear Train Track (curved) Red Kepi White Tree Those are just a few that I will mention For further parts reference refer to this excellent Brickshelf Gallery maintained by Ash274 Gallery Thoughts anyone?

Nice I love the classic sink piece!! I also agree that the airport pic posted (from 2006 legend) originally 1992 I think, is the best LEGO airport However since building styles change that one would fit in perfect with all the other buildings of that era I think LEGO could have done a better job by including base plates and runway printed base plates The airport isn't great I really just don't like the look or style of it I notice LEGO likes to use garage doors a lot in the new City sets, I wonder why they didn't in the new airport?
  13. Interesting topic, I really like that picture of the water droplet, from the discovery channel yea? There are some interesting pictures here like the pirate set up and all those cool LEGO water fountains. However I don't think I would add actual water into a LEGO display , that would be like adding a live plant or something It doesn't seem very LEGO- ish to me. Still I like what has been shown here.

I am thinking along the lines of something different The one in Town Plan is more classic styled A more modern one like the 07 one would be nicer Shame they don't sell it on US LSAH anymore

Awesome! Thanks for those pics!! The airport is ok, nothing too great but nothing terrible Inside details are interesting, but I probably won't buy it I still don't like the large bulky airplanes though The octan tanker is very cool Hope we actually get a gas station for it to refill I like the seaplane, nothing much to say there However in all I am slightly disappointed as I was hoping for more civilian sets I hope we see some more in the future Right now the only things that are awesome and I will buy are the pig pen and octan tanker
  16. Captain Redbeard is close but he appears in too many sets. Back when he first came out he was only in the BSB and Eldorado Fortress. My vote goes to one of my favorite figs, Governor Broadside, who to this day only appeared in the Caribbean Clipper and Eldorado fortress, both were slightly different because of the different colored plumes he wore. He is also a very cool fig, I loved his torso and printed bricorn hat.
  17. I voted for the Black Seas Barracuda: It had to be my obvious choice as it is my all time favorite pirate ship. Much more nostalgic and easily recognized and famous. If you would name a classic set from each theme then the BSB would be right there for Pirates. The BB is nice with the color scheme and the figure head of the mermaid I like better. However I am not a fan of the Jolly Roger being all over the sails. That has annoyed me on almost every LEGO pirate ship except the BSB. Therefore the BSB automatically gets the win in that category. I think LEGO could have gave the BSB a 4 cannon broadside like the SES and maybe the extra triangular sail in the back. The BB has some extra elements of play like including the soldiers. If the BSB had a jail or something similar then that would have been a major plus. It doesn't really matter to me though since I can just use the sets from my collection. With all that said I am highly awaiting my BSB I ordered so I can finally build it
  18. Well most of the stuff made is Realistic, such as islanders and ports I like it much better that way anyway So I voted for Realistic Now being realistic can include sets that feature sea creatures, like a giant squid because that is a real animal Also calling a regular dark red octopus a kraken is ok too I would like my LEGO pirates to stay realistic, fantasy is left for the movies

Because we are ravid city fans and this is what we do all day It doesn't happen like it use to in the past, when I first joined there was prelim pics of all the LEGO sets all over the frontpage That doesn't happen anymore I first found EB and joined because of the leaked images Also sometimes LEGO does throw us surprises that were not listed and come as a total shock
  20. Good to see around BM, you aren't a totally lost member yet I hope what Steve has said will be true but why does pirates need a break? It doesn't make much sense? Star Wars never takes a break? However I am glad that it will (hopefully) come back in a year or two, but no longer!
  21. Awesome! I missed the last one I am for sure going to enter the 2nd one! Lets Pillage!!!!
  22. Thanks for sharing this I had heard about this but didn't know the details It sounds ok, I kind of like the stamps idea better However if it can be used online then it will be much better I am glad I filled up my card in time to get the $35 gift card

Here are the ones I think sound interesting 7567 Traveler Is this going to be like the camper? Maybe an RV or something? 3177 Small Car I am again thinking like the sports car but different 3179 Vehicle Repair Probably going to be a garage set 3181 Airliner 3182 Airport I hope these are actually going to be decent then I will like them, but not before 7684 and the tractor shed Is this the pig set? Thanks for the picture its awesome 7566 Farmer 8683 Minifigurky ? I think these might be impulse sets This isn't sounding or looking as bad as I had first thought
  24. Interesting idea Lets say one day LEGO has no licensed themes, they actually have nothing but original themes again We have awesome space once again. There is Pirates and Castle. A decent underwater theme. I think then a ninja or oriental theme would be very cool. Before that, I hope it will happen
  25. Signed We need it back, and its not like there wasn't ideas for new sets Large possibilities Bring it Back
