  1. Wow, those Rex and Obi-Wan figs are outstanding! Just give that Obi-Wan the head and hair from the Jedi Interceptor set and you've got the best damn ROTS Obi-Wan yet! And Rex just looks fantastic! Along with Krell, these three are the best figs of the wave! Can't wait to see what the summer brings!
  2. I've actually had some issues with characters who are available to buy, but they don't show up. I think the only ones I need are Hama, the Witch-King and the King of the Dead. I've gone to each spot, set my destination, and they never appear. Same goes for this one Mithril brick that is supposedly right next to the Seeing Seat at Amon Hen. I can see the white arrow that shows me where it is, but it is just pointing at the ground and nothing is there. It's really annoying. But besides that, this game is absolutely amazing! I have it for the Wii, so the graphics aren't as great as they could be, but the gameplay is no different. Can't wait for the Hobbit games that will inevitably come out!
  3. When it comes to this set, it really depends on why you're buying it. If you're buying it for the figures, then the ones that are the best are Kolar, Anakin, Palpatine and Tiin. Windu's and Fisto are a little lackluster, but the other figs make up for that. If you are buying for the parts, there is a healthy selection of dark red, with a few unique pieces like the large clear windows. And if you're looking for playability, it's pretty good. There are a bunch of features that are fun and work well. Plus, the door and landing pad can be dislocated from the main office that can make interesting set ups depending on how you connect it together. I bought it and am really satisfied with it. The figs were the main draw for me, and they don't disappoint.
  4. The reason I was thinking that a new Geonsian is in order is because the old one is extremely outdated, and the new CW one is just that: CW. And while back when we first got Kit I was ecstatic about him, over the years LEGO has released so many other alien Jedi and have shown that they are capable of making fantastic figs using headpieces. So, I think that LEGO should make a new Kit Fisto with a classic LEGO minifig head and then a special head/hair piece to represent the tentacles. That way his head would be hard plastic, stay attached better and likely have better accommodations for a cape.
  5. Maybe you could look for some walkthroughs on Youtube. While it may give away some things, it would give you a better sense of what the game will look like while you're playing it.
  6. I really like the look of the new Yoda! Such an improvement! Same goes for Dooku, except it kinda is the way I always imagined LEGOP would redesign him, so no huge surprises, just glad its finally happening. As for the AOTC sets supposedly coming out next summer, I'm quite excited to see how they disperse the minifigs, and what figs get major redesigns. There is the Duel on Geonosis set which sounds like it will have Dooku, Yoda, Anakin and Obi-Wan, hopefully. Likely it will be a medium sized $30-40 set. The Gunship will likely have a couple of Clones, and possibly a Clone Pilot with a new helmet design. As much as I don't care too much for Pilots, it bothers me when LEGO just uses the standard Trooper helmet and adds some different colours (original TIE Pilot and CW Clone Pilot). The new CW 501st Pilot, while being a boring fig in comparison to the other figs in the wave, is a much better fig compared to the older CW Pilots. Anyway, the Gunship will hopefully, as some people have said, include Mace and a new Jango. There could also be some SBDs, possibly a chance to bring back the old metallic blue colour from the 2002 versions. The AT-TE is a better chance for some more generic soldiers. A few Clones, and possibly a Pilot driving the walker, along with a few BDs (bring back the old sand red colour), and possibly a non-CW Geonosian redesign. Also, while it wouldn't make the most sense, an Arena Padme could be included, and possibly a lesser known Jedi like Coleman Trebor, or possibly a more accurate, less rubbery Kit Fisto, to make the set more desirable and seem like less of a greatly glorified Battle Pack. As for the other sets named in the list, the only one I have any sort of idea of what could be included is the Sail Barge.
  7. I'm surprisingly excited about this theme! I've always had a slight interest for western stuff, but never had the urge to try to buy any of the older stuff. But these figures look really amazing, and I bet the sets will be really cool too. It seems like not many people have mentioned the new, more accurate revolver mold. Also, people seem worried about whether this will be a flop or one wave theme. To me, since it is based only one film, they don't need to make any more than one wave. That being said, this movie, while being produced by Bruckheimer, is also being directed by Gore Verbinski, who did the first three POTC films. So, with that in mind, sequels are a possibility, but whether or not LEGO still has their Disney license will determine if we get sets. But, I really doubt that the license with Disney will go away any time soon.
  8. I would really love to see them make the Fell Beast with a molded body/legs/tail/head but then make the wings brick built, mostly out of technic bits, so they can unfurl or fold up. They could so something similar to the Ninjago dragon, but have fabric bits in between each skeletal bit to make the wings look full when unfurled. It would also he.p take up a chunk of the built part of the set, but we could still get the cool molded design. If this type of thing was applied to the Fell Beasts, Eagles and Smaug, it would be very cool.
  9. Duel on Geonosis sounds amazing! Hopefully it will have a new Dooku, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Yoda, all non-CW AOTC versions! Also, this wave seems to be AOTC centric overall.
  10. I also really hope we get the Witch-King, but the Mouth would be equally as awesome, and twice as unexpected! Also, I hope that LEGO strives to design their Witch-King and Mouth figs as they are seen in the game. The game versions are so awesome looking, and with the amazing molds LEGO has been pumping out in the last year or so, I think we will likely see replicas of the game characters in LEGO form.
  11. That Han is what I was hoping for in the latest Millennium Falcon. So glad that they finally gave detail to his vest. A long overdue upgrade.
  12. I have a feeling that the Black Gate set will have the Mouth, Aragorn in his King outfit, and then rather than having Legolas and Gimli, they could have Pippin in armour and a few orcs with a new printed armour piece like those seen in the video game. Plus, maybe this set will be the first to have the supposed updated horse barding that LEGO said was being designed for the new horses. I also hope that the Army of the Dead gets treated like they were in the video game. They could easily make them be sand green figures with the proper coloured printing, but then also make the printing glow in the dark, like the Mummy from the Monster Fighters theme. That way there is a sense of ghostliness without having to sacrifice the traditional minifigure body. Plus, that set could include the orc with the skeleton head on its helmet and the scythe. Could even throw in Gothmog just as a way of getting him into a set, since the only other possiblity that I see would be an Osgiliath set, which is equally as possible.
  13. If there is a Black Gate set coming out, then that isn't the Witch-King, but the Mouth of Sauron! Also, 10-12 minifigs for the Corsair set seems like a lot. It better be a pretty substantial ship.
  14. I found these images in a new group of photos revealed from the film, and I think that we can take these as possible hints as to what we should see come December 2013. Smaug http://www.filmofilia.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/The-Hobbit-An-Unexpected-Journey_41.jpg Elven and Dwarven soldiers http://www.filmofilia.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/The-Hobbit-An-Unexpected-Journey_42.jpg And here is the whole gallery http://www.filmofilia.com/the-hobbit-an-unexpected-journey-images-127072/ I'm a little skeptical on the Smaug pic. It could be that this is some ditched concept art, because it seems strange that, while any finished images of the character are kept under extreme wraps, this would get released. As for the Elven and Dwarven designs, I believe they are images from some new online Hobbit game that came out recently. While that may make these images seem less likely to be official, the Legolas images from the game show him in armour that matches that of his minifig from the Mirkwood Spiders set. Regardless, I would absolutely LOVE to see that Elven helmet as a LEGO piece!
  15. Only more detailed. Also, that mermaid hair looks great, but I don't think it would suit Eowyn. If the made a combination of that hair and the Princess hair she has in the game, so she could have the hair braided at the back but with the part in the middle of her head, it would look a lot better.
  16. Now that I look back at how this first wave was developed, it seems like, had LEGO not been designing sets for the Mirkwood and Barrel scenes, they could have consolidated the price, piece, and figure count into one bigger set and made the Troll scene. While that would have given us no elves and one less set this wave, we would have been most likely given Orcrist, as well as three unique, massive Trolls. Now, I am very happy we've gotten more elves, but I hope that the way that these waves seem to be heading won't deter LEGO from making the Trollshaws.

    Canadian Eh?

I was wondering if anyone has seen the Mirkwood Elf polybag at TRU's here. I know that it has shown up in the US, but I fear we won't get it here.
  18. That just made my day! Also, six new clips have been released! http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/12/4/the-hobbit-six-great-film-clips-for-you-to-watch.html
  19. Not only is that hair amazing for Leia, but the Judge's dark red robes would look great on the Palpatine from the Arrest set.
  20. I doubt that the Forest Maiden is connected to the Series 1 archer. If she is, thats a shame, because a new Forestmen faction with that tree symbol would be fantastic.
  21. After having a closer look at the minifig descriptions for CMF Series 9 on LEGO.com, it seems to me that LEGO intends for the Forest Maiden to be part of the Forestmen faction. The Forestmen are mentioned in her description. Put this and the Forest Ambush set together and it points to the return of the Forestmen. If this is the case, it would be really interesting if LEGO makes the knights and king in the castle be the villains, while the Forestmen are the good guys, and the Dragon Mountain is their base of operations. And then amybe the Black Falcons could make a return as said villainous kingdom. But that is all just hopes and dreams based on a few subtle hints and nods to the past.
  22. I actually really enjoyed the younglings arc. And I've come to notice that the seasons of this show seem to have generally bad episodes during the first half, and then in the new year they get to the stuff people want to see. I hope Maul gets a four part arc, but I feel like Maul, as interesting as he is, shouldn't stay past this season. I think Sidious will deal with him by the end of this season, and it would be nice if there were no cliffhangers at the end. I think what season six needs is a constant underlying threat that slowly gets developed throughout the season and then culminates at the end in some epic story arc that paves the way for ROTS.
  23. Other than the Trollshaws, this first wave has done a really great job of capturing the main exciting scenes from the first bit of the book. I really hope that we get a Trollshaws/cave set, but seeing as in the film Bert, Will and Tom all have unique physical features and clothes, it would call for three new and different Troll molds, which would be extremely expensive for both LEGO to produce and us to purchase. The only way I could see them doing it would be if it was the second biggest set of the wave and had only three figs.
  24. Got the Barrel Escape today! Now I have all the Hobbit sets, minus the polybags. I was extremely happy to find three elven swords in the set rather than the two shown on the box. The instruction manual says that there are only two in the set, so it looks like this new elven sword is being treated like Sting, and we'll get at least one extra in every full sized set they are released in!
  25. I've been catching up on some of the CW episodes, and I would honestly love a set based on the ship where the younglings build their lightsabers and are attacked by Hondo. I really only want a Gungi minifig, but it would also be nice to see an improved Hondo fig. I think now LEGO could make a special head piece for Hondo that is in the shape of his shell helmet, and have his braids attached to the helmet rather than printed on. And the ship itself had a very interesting design and would look pretty cool in LEGO form.
