  1. Hello, and thank you for the nice comments! I agree that it would look more accurate in chromed colours, but the parts variety there is extremely limited and prices are high. And as one of my building rules is "no saw, glue or paint" I won't spray it silver myself. I am glad you like it bluish grey too! Cheers, ~ Christopher
  2. Hello Walter! Glad to see you back in business! I have always liked the TIE Hunter because it's a relatively unknown and only rarely seen type. That's what gives these models something particular interesting. Your representation is very good with the sharp and menacing looking triangular solar panels. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  3. Hello everybody! One of the most recognizable ships from the prequel trilogy is the sleek and streamlined Nubian J-327 Royal Starship from "The Phantom Menace". I'd like to give the following bricked representation of it as Eurobricks exclusive model, meaning it appears nowhere else, just here. The scale is somewhat between normal MINI and medium size, hence I called it a medium model this time. The idea for this model came with those big 12x3 wedges, which already demanded to be used for a streamlined design. The ship uses many wedges and slopes, and although it's not studless, it has a smooth look. In fact I think the studs help to incorporate the rounded wedge on top really well. I could not make a downloadable .zip file again because my storage space already hold that of the Slave-1 model. So here are the instruction links directly to the hidden folder on majhost.com. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-01.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-02.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-03.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-04.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-05.jpg Attention: Please add part 50948 - Wedge 4 x 3 Cut Back with Cutout, Two Studs in this step! The .dat file for ldraw has not yet been created, unfortunately. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-06.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-07.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-08.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-09.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-10.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...27-instr-11.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-0.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-1.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-2.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-3.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-4.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-5.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-6.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-7.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...-instr-12-8.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...instr-12-13.jpg http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Legostein/S...instr-12-14.jpg -------------------- With that I am done for now. Thank you for your time and interest! Have a great week! ~ Christopher
  4. Hello! Very impressive your scene! I can imagine the big efforts in placing all the realistic looking ice and snow effects. The two sizes of wood packs are also a nice detail. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  5. Hello! A quite unusual shape you're presenting to us here. But I really like this! I have a faible for transparent pieces and you've used them in a great way. Als the use of the egg piece is well-placed here. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  6. Hello! A well thought-out scene! The techniques you sued are pretty good. I especially like the shade of sand green in the water where the pollution sets in. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  7. Hello! Pretty nice little setup with good details. But why are they blowing the wall? What's behind it? Will we see this bricked, too? Cheers, ~ Christopher

    The Road

Hello! The scene is really fantastic. I find this truly inspiring, as I was in the need of some destroyed buildings for a small scene which I abandoned. I find it more difficult to build something damaged than the other way round. Do you first build the undamaged building and then partially disassemble it, or do you build it spontaneously? Cheers, ~ Christopher
  9. Hello! When I read "Interceptor" I was expecting something very fast, but this here is even better. I guess it's pretty agile and can move faster through crowded cities than larger vehicles. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  10. Hello! Very accurate and detailed equipment for a hospital. Your hospital will be much moreadvanced than any official hospital set. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  11. Hello! An interesting design! It's great to see the theme being expanded by new creations. Especially I like the ladder up to the cockpit by using the modified 1x1 bricks with bar in SNOT fashion. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  12. Hello! It's pretty simple but it does the job well. As Walter, I like the entrance section with the panels, but also the walls by using even more large panel pieces. It's really a good use for them. I also like that you took the sticker as inspiration for giving the cantina its name. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  13. Hello! It's really a nice start. But I also recommend more details, like structuring of the wings, as they're looking a bit plain. Also you might want to add the wing tip cannons/antennas. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  14. Hello! As mentioned just above, the sitting position with folded legs is very clever. I also like the photographing technique with the golden background. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  15. Hello! If allowed, I'd like to give a quick advice about taking photos. It usually works better when you have a clean background, like with a large grey or white paper. Then enough lights are important. The better you use spots on your moc, the less blurry they will be, and more bright with more details visibnle. Here's a nice tutorial, put together by Hinckley: Photographing LEGO Cheers, ~ Christopher
  16. Hello! A lovely miniland figure! It fits very well to all the otehrs you already have created. The mad tea party is among ym most favourite scenes in the movie. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  17. Hello! the shot in the bathtub looks nice. Also the miniland child figure. But for me the face looks as having a beard. Wouldn't that be a bit early, at the age of six? Cheers, ~ Christopher
  18. Hello! The idea is really original! It features a large variety of different clip/bar connections which is very inspiring. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  19. Hello! Although I haven't seen the movie, I like this nice looking plane! The inverted 2x4 double slope works perfectly after the canopy. And the use of levers embedded into the wings is a good idea. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  20. Hello! A great addidition to your collection! Again the details are fantastic. The concealed landing gear is among my favourites, as well as the wedge shaped back wings which are also attached in an angled way. Not many people would have made the effort to do so, but that's what I like about your models. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  21. Hello everybody! It's my pleasure to share some of my thoughts for dispaly stands for microscale creations with you. As most of them the display stand types presented below are used for the 200+ micro and mini models of my collection, several examples are included. Now let's start. -------------------- You have a centered stud hole, or bottom tube on the underside: There are two possibilities, for models which need a high stand (left side) or low standard stand (right side). Parts needed (high stand): 4x4 dish, 1x8 bar/laser cannon, pulley wheel Example 1 Example 2 Parts needed (low stand): 4x4 dish, 1x1 round brick Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 -------------------- You lack a centered stud hole or bottom tube but have two stud holes next to each other (e.g. two 1x1 plates): Parts needed: 65° 2x2x2 slope Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 -------------------- You have a centered inverted stud on the underside: There are again two possibilities, one for high stands, and one for low stands. Parts needed (high stand): 4x4 dish, 1x8 bar/laser cannon Examples: None yet. Has mostly been replaced by the low stand. Parts needed: (low stand): 4x4 dish, 1x1 round brick, Clikits ring Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 -------------------- You lack a centered inverted stud, but have two inverted studs next to each other: Parts needed: 4x4 dish, Clikits ring, 1x1 round brick, 1x2 jumper plate Examples: None yet (model still unpublished) -------------------- You lack a centered inverted stud, but have an inverted 2x2 plate or larger on the underside: Parts needed: 4x4 dish, Clikits ring, 1x2 round brick Example 1 -------------------- You lack a centered inverted stud, but have an inverted 2x4 (or larger) TECHNIC® plate on the underside: Parts needed: 4x4 dish, 1x1 round brick, 1x1 cone Example 1 -------------------- You have neither studs nor stud holes on the underside, but inverted tiles insetad: Parts needed: 4x4 dish, 1x1 round brick, 1x2 or 2x2 tile Example 1 -------------------- You have a boat stud on the underside: Two possibilities occur again, the high stand or low stand. Both use the fact that the bottom tube of the 3x3 dish does not end together with the rest of the dish, but is one plate height shorter, where the boat stud fits in perfectly. Parts needed (high stand): 4x4 dish1x8 bar/laser cannon, 3x3 dish Example 1 Parts needed (low stand): 4x4 dish, 1x1 round brick, Clikits ring, 3x3 dish Example 1 -------------------- You only have a hole/gap with the width of a standard bar on your model: Parts needed: 4x4 dish, 1x4 antenna Example 1 Example 2 -------------------- You only have vertical studs or stud holes accessable on your model: Parts needed: 4x4 dish, 1x8 bar/laser cannon Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 Example 5 -------------------- Special stands: The display stand is part of the model! Example 1: Fire beam and display stand in one. Parts needed: 1x1 round brick Example 2: The glowing in the ring is attached on the display stand, not on the actual model. Parts needed: 4x4 dish, 1x8 bar/laser cannon -------------------- Higher structure: Displaying display stands This is an easy assembly which allows you to present several models at once. Parts needed: X-Pod barrel Example 1 -------------------- With that I am done for now. I hope you will find these helpful and continue the joy of microscale. All the best, yours Christopher.
  22. Hello! A great addition to the MiniLand world! She's instantly recognizable. The bowknot in the hair adds much to her authentic look. And I really always like seeing medium blue bricks being used. The perfect time for this figure to be presented regarding the new movie coming into the cinemas. However I am not sure if I will like that one better than the classic Disney movie from 1951. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  23. Hello! It's a fantastic little craft! Regarding the fact that most starships are grey, especially for the Empire, I think the choice of colours suits it well. My favourite part of the ship is its rear section with the original trigonal engine arrangement. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  24. Hello! I really enjoyed looking at this nice underwater scenery. The big statue is impressive, but the decoration of the sea floor is really good, too! My favourite is the blue sea flower using lever bases. Cheers, ~ Christopher
  25. Hello! What a cute dog! The mushroom pattern looks also great. Altogether avery good comic book adaption! Cheers, ~ Christopher
