Thanks very much. I thought about putting micro tie fighters on the model but they just didn’t look good enough for me and spoiled the look of the model.

GOZANTI-CLASS CRUISER Hello again everyone As promised it was about time for another new model. It is my last (for now) model from Rebels - the Gozanti-Class Imperial Carrier. This ship was first seen briefly in The Phantom Menace flying over Mos Espa but has been significantly upgraded for Imperial use in Rebels. One of the major upgrades being that the vessel can now carry 4 tie fighters (not included in this model). This model is basically built along a spine of back to back with slope bricks used to shape the wings. It is not a very complicated build but I like how this one has turned out. I have added a few dark grey pieces so that it is not all light grey to make it a bit more interesting. Anyway let me know what you think of this one (and the others). Time to move on to another animated series......... Jon

Hello everyone, I have had a request from a forum member for help building the Shadow Caster so I have decided to post the exploded views in this topic just in case anyone else would like to build. It is quite a simple build - just layers of plates really for the most part. it is just how they are laid ot which might not be obvious. More new stuff soon.

Thanks all. The Pelta is around 300m in length so to be in scale the MINI would need to be roughly 18cm (23 studs) in length to be in 1:1600 scale.

PELTA-CLASS FRIGATE Hello again everyone Having survived school holidays with the monster going back to school and trips to see the in-laws I finally have time to publish a new model. Continuing the theme of the last couple of models again this one s from the Rebels series. Originally seen in Clone Wars this is the Pelta-Class frigate. This vessel was a medical frigate in Clone wars but was the Rebel Flagship in Rebels - Phoenix Home. I decided to use the new 1x1 45 double slopes for this model as it made the model look sleeker rather than the 1x2 pieces. I also decided to attach the wings at the back using a clip tile - simple is sometimes better. Anyway it is quite a simple build but it does the job. Let me know what you think. Jon

PHANTOM II Hi again everyone Another model from Rebels this time – the Phantom II. The Phantom II is a modified Sheathipede-class transport shuttle. It replaced the original Phantom, which was destroyed. This is quite a simple little model. The only tricky part of the build was making it 5 studs wide without being too thick. Luckily the wedge piece and inverted slope piece used for the main part of the hull have open studs. I am not entirely satisfied with this little model. The dimensions are pretty much spot-on according to the specifications so it is accurate but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it is my photography! Anyway, let me know what you think. Jon

See replies in this thread for any NEW models Models in this thread - SHADOW CASTER PHANTOM II PELTA-CLASS FRIGATE IMPERIAL GOZANTI-CLASS CRUISER QUASAR-CLASS CARRIER IMPERIAL TROOP TRANSPORT GHOST & PHANTOM INTERDICTOR CRUISER TIE DEFENDER MINING GUILD TIE FIGHER ARC CANNON AT-DP PROTOTYPE (NEW) LAAT/le PATROL GUNSHIP (NEW) SHADOW CASTER Hello again everyone This week I present the Shadow Caster a Lancer-class pursuit craft - the ship of Bounty Hunter Ketsu Onyo from the excellent (well last 3 series anyway) Star Wars Rebels animated series. I was ill a while back and my attention span at the time was only an hour or so so watching a few Rebels episodes at a time fit nicely. It made me realise that there were a lot of vehicles from the animated series, not just Rebels, that I have not built or could update form my old collection so this is the first of many from this genre so keep an eye open. This is not a very tricky build, The difficult part was getting the colour scheme right whilst not making the model too thick. The new maccaroni tile pieces and 6x3 semi circle plates certainly helped with that once I realised that they existed. I tend to find out about new parts now when my son gets a new set! I think i have the overall shape and dimensions just about right. I am surpised an official minifig scale set of this was not made. As this was not the case I have also had to build a Ketsu Onyo minifig from official parts for the display. This is not my speciality so if anyone can think of better minifigure parts let me know. Anyway, enough waffle, here is the model. Let me know what you think. Jon

Thanks. Surprised to see this one dragged up after so long!

Hello again everyone Finally, the house is decorated and I have managed to dig out my LEGO from storage and finish this little model – the Ninka which is one of the capital ships chased down by the First Order in The Last Jedi. The Ninka is a Free Virgillia-class Bunkerbuster. There were a couple of tricky parts to this model. Firstly how to attach the front side sections and to get the shape. I settled with the 1x1 round plates without a stud and a couple of grey bars to attach the side parts into some bricks with holes. Secondly the engine section. There should be six engines on each side but it took me a while to arrange the parts in such a way so that I could have six engines and keep the shape and most importantly be able to attach them to the main hull! The first couple of versions only had 3 engines and while this looked good was not accurate. I am really pleased with how this model turned out. The few orange parts really make it look cool in my opinion. Anyway here is the model and let me know what you think. More MINIs soon. Jon

Thanks very much. I have a few models nearly ready but our house is being decorated at the moment and all my LEGO is packed away out of the way.

Hello again everyone Following on from my Snowspeeder post a few weeks back I realised I had neglected to build the Rebel Transport from Empire Strikes Back. So I decided to rectify that. There are no really tricky elements to this build. It does switch from 2 to 3 studs at the bottom using the new 2x3 jumper plates. This then allows the 5-stud wide main body to get the shape at the front. It is not as round at the front as it should be but you can’t always do everything in this scale and you have to approximate. It also uses the old finger hinge plates to attach the side “panels”. It would have needed a 1 plate high gap between the clip/hinge and the main body to use clips or the clicky hinges so sometimes old is better! Hope you like it Jon

thanks. I had actually used that cockpit design before on the Tie fighter from Solo.

Hello again everyone A simple little model this time - the Mining Guild Tie from Star Wars Rebels. I was ill a couple of weeks back and decided to re-watch Rebels as the 20 mins per Episode suited my attention span with the bloody virus! This simple little build was also about as complicated as I could manage the way I was feeling. It is basically just a tie fighter with cut-out solar panels. It does look quite striking in yellow. I have also tried my hand at decals for the Mining Guild Logo on the Tie and torso for the custom minifigure. I also painted the legs of the figure. I don't think I will be trying that again! On the flip side I realised that I had not built the Shadowcaster or Phantom II so they are now on my list. Jon

thanks again. I think i covered the windscreen in the original post. i tried a few different pieces but this is the only way to get the right size and shape I could think of. If anyone else has a better idea i am all ears.......

Hello again everyone This time I present my last (I can’t think of anything else to build?) model from Solo – Han’s Landspeeder. Han Solo acquired his overpowered Mobquet M-68 Landspeeder under circumstances he doesn’t care to explain. ? The M-68 is a favorite of Corellian speeder enthusiasts, as its repulsorlift generator is easily modified and overcharged. This was quite a tricky little build to keep the overall shape and sleekness in this scale. It is supposed to resemble a sports car after all. The first problem I came across was the windshield. 1x1 clear cheese slopes looked too small and the 1x2 panel was just too upright and looked terrible. In the end I managed to use some slopes which have been turned on their ends. They are attached using bricks with a stud on the side and a tile on the studs of the slopes. Luckily it fits perfectly in the space for them. Another part was the “spoiler” at the back. Luckily those new 1x1 brackets came in dark blue! Then the engines. I went through a few different versions before finally using this: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=11458&C=63#T=C&C=63 These pieces are then attached using 2 headlight bricks in the main body of the model and then attaching another 2 to these to be able to attach the above piece. Anyway, I think this model looks pretty good if I do say so myself, nice and sleek! Hope you like it. Jon

On a side note having posted the picture of the cargo shuttle I have changed the front section to have two of these instead: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=24201&name=Slope, Curved 2 x 1 Inverted&category=[Slope, Curved]#T=C This piece was not available in Dark Bluish Gray when the model was built. I will try to get round to updating the pictures on brickshelf.

Hi again everyone This time I present one more model from Rogue One – the Eta-Class Supply Barge. This “super tanker” can be seen entering Scarif through the shield gate. It is the big brother/sister of the Zeta-Class Cargo shuttle: I also cannot recall seeing any other MOC’s of this monster. This was quite a simple build – it is mostly a flat-bed after all – but the pieces that inspired me was the new 1x2 wedges for the prongs at the front. The only other “tricky” part was making the 8 wings so that they were sloped but not too sloped. I eventually settled on door rail plates at the bottom of each wing to give an illusion of a slope. It is a bit bigger than I would normally like to build but with the front having to be 4 studs wide (difficult to make it 3) it dictated the overall length of the model. My photography is not very good but the orange containers contrasted against the dark-bluish gray is quite striking. Let me know what you think and there will be more MINI madness soon Jon

NEW MODELS WILL APPEAR IN THE REPLIES TO THIS THREAD - consolidated in to one thread for when further models are added Models in this thread: SNOWSPEEDER REBEL TRANSPORT OUTRIDER TIE SHUTTLE A-WING (MOD) SUPER STAR DESTROYER (MOD) SENTINEL-CLASS IMPERIAL LANDING CRAFT IMPERIAL STAR DESTROYER SNOWSPEEDER Hello again everybody With the emergence of pictures of the 20th Anniversary Snowspeeder Polybag I realised that I had not published my own (and if I do say so myself superior! ) MINI Snowspeeder model! This little model has been lurking around for a while continually being tinkered with. It started off as the unreleased LEGO set 8029: However, as you will see from the pictures it has almost entirely been rebuilt. The wings are still attached using the hinge bricks but everything else has been stripped down and rebuilt. As new pieces have been released I have updated this little model. Gotta love Snowspeeders! Anyway I will let the little model speak for itself. Jon
