  1. thanks for the compliments. As for instructions I am away on business at the moment, I also do not use LDRAW or anything similar, but if you need some help recreating it just leave a message with any questions and I am happy to help. More Last Jedi models coming soon. Jon
  2. GHOST & PHANTOM Hello again everyone I present today two new models. One is a MOD of a SDCC exclusive model and the other is new. I am sure you can guess which one is which. ;-) First up the Ghost. Of course this is the MOD of the exclusive from a couple of years ago. I have of course filled in the minifig seat and added the gun on top. I have also added a slot at the back for a micro phantom. It wasn't too tricky to turn this microfightrer in to a MINI. to be honest this has been built for quite a long time and I remember changing quite a few things but I can't remember! ;-) You can see the little Phantom in the last picture. And here is the little Phantom on its own. And here is the Ghost on display with Hera. As i said this has been built for a while and is now actually no longer on display. I have replaced the Ghost MOD with the model that came with the LEGO Star Wars Magazine as it is more of a polybag scale model and more consistent with the Planets sets which you should all know by now I was a fan of. Now for the Phantom. I had built and displayed the LEGO version which was on available in the surprise bag from Disneyland (i think). I was never really happy with their version so i recently finally got round to building my own version. I am happy with how this little model has turned out. It is a pretty simple build but i think the front section is quite clever with the use of a modified brick, bracket and technic liftarm piece to attach the front cannons. Here is a comparison pic with the LEGO version: And on display a la planets with Kanan. Let me know your thoughts. Jon
  3. thanks very much. much appreciated
  4. QUADJUMPER Hello again everyone I am running out of things to build from EP VII, thankfully Ep VIII is almost here! ;-) This time I present Unkar Plutt's Quadjumper. This started really as just messing around with a few round bricks and grew from there. I hadn't seen many MOCs of this vehicle and none in the MINI scale. It is basically built on its side with a few brackets to create inversions etc. I think it works quite well but I am not 100% happy with the fins/wings but the way it is built I could not think of another way of doing them, so if anyone has any ideas....... Anyway here it is: Jon
  5. Thanks again. ;-)
  6. Thanks, glad you like it
  7. Hi everyone With Ep. VIII only just over 2 months away and I am getting rather excited for the release I thought I would build something from the movie! ;-) There are quite a few good shots of this in the teaser trailer, some die-cast models and of course the System scale model to get some good reference pictures. The trickiest part was getting the engines in place with the bottom fin. I ended up using a 5L technic lift arm as I could attach this to two bricks with studs on the sides to hold it in place. I also think this ship is ripe for a future polybag so I thought I would get in first! ;-) Here it is, let me know what you think. and as usual on display Planets style with a Resistance Bombardier minifig: Enjoy. Jon
  8. RESISTANCE TRANSPORT Hi again everyone this is the last model i built during my building frenzy when I was ill. i am not a great fan of this ship for some reason so decided to just build this with the pieces I had to hand. Normally I will build a prototype with different parts and then Bricklink the actual ones I need for the finished model. The only thing I ordered for this one was the minifig for the display. So while there might be better parts or colours available this is what i came up with. I think it actually turned out ok considering the source material and the restrictions I placed on myself. The mix of old and new grey gives it more of a battered look. ;-) All comments welcome. Jon
  9. look at all familiar?
  10. BASE DEFENSE WALKER Hi everyone Here is another model I built while i was ill a few weeks back. This one is just seen in the background during the First Order Parade on Starkiller Base and is the Base Defense Walker. there are not too many reference pictures out there but there are a couple of minifig scale MOCs which I have also used as references. No real tricky techniques on this one but let me know what you think. Jon
  11. TIE REAPER Hello again everyone Here is the lst model from Rogue One which I can think of to build; the Tie Reaper Troop Transport. The trickiest part of this was building the wings and tail and attach them to the body so that they weren't 3 or 4 studs thick which not only would have looked silly but would have messed up the angle at which they lie on the slope bricks on the side of the body of the model. I think I got the overall shape pretty close. and as with all my other recent models on display with the Death Trooper. All comments welcome. Jon
  12. Hello again The Interdictor was the starter and here is the main course. yet another vehicle borrowed from the EU for Rebels is the Tie Defender. That old triangle technic piece has come in very handy for this one. the 3 sets of panels have been attached using 4L bars and clip plates. The ring type clip has been used to attach the bar to the technic piece and the other type of clips to attach the panels to the bar. The new 2x2 wedge plates have been used for the back part of the wings. And on display a la planets with Grand Admiral Thrawn. I am very pleased with how this turned out. Let me know your thoughts. Jon
  13. Hi again everyone I don't normally take requests but i had planned to build an Interdictor Cruiser. Once again Rebels is using an old design from the EU for this. I have gone against the normal convention on this one of building Star Destroyer models with wedge plates. Instead I have used slope bricks and the bricks with studs on 2 sides so that I can attach the gravity wells in the same way top and bottom. The new(ish) 2x2 round tiles with one stud come in very handy for the gravity wells. ;-) Here it is: And as usual on display a la Planets: Let me know what you think. Jon
  14. An interdictor is certainly a possibility........
  15. Please see below posts for further updates. (Ghost and Phantom below) Hi again all The first model here is a new one. It is the Quasar-Fire Carrier, or Phoenix Home cruiser/carrier. Fans of the old EU will recognise this as a version of the Flurry. and on display with Commander Sato. The second MINI model (not new) is the Imperial Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels. I am really fond of this vehicle as I had the original Kenner toy. I am really pleased with how this little model has turned out. I had 3 or 4 different ways of building the 6 troop pods but finally went for the 1x1 brackets with a tile. I think they work well. And a la planets with Agent Kallus: Any further models from SW Rebels will be added to this topic so keep an eye open! ;-) Let me know what you think. Jon
  16. Thanks again
  17. Thanks for the kind comments.
  18. IMPERIAL HOVERTANK Hi again everyone I have has a nasty virus recently so had time to watch Rogue One again and had time on my hands to build some little models. And here is one of them, the Imperial Hovertank as seen in Rogue One. Again no really flash techniques on show apart from using a hinge brick and 2x2 hinge top to get the slope effect and greebles on the front. I am quite happy with how this turned out. Let me know what you think. Jon
  19. Agreed. Never liked the microfighters myself.
  20. Thanks very much. I miss the Planets sets too as you can tell from the pictures! ;-)
  21. See replies in this thread for NEW models - I have consolidated all models from Rogue One from other topics in to one thread (I had time on my hands during lockdown!) Models in this thread - ZETA-CLASS CARGO SHUTTLE KRENNIC'S SHUTTLE TIE STRIKER IMPERIAL HOVERTANK TIE REAPER TROOP TRANSPORT PROFUNDITY MC75 CRUISER ETA-CLASS SUPPLY BARGE Original post: ZETA-CLASS CARGO SHUTTLE Hi all I have not posted any new models for a long time. Work life and personal life has been CRAZY! I have not got much time to write an essay on these so I will let the models speak for themselves. First up the Imperial Heavy Cargo Shuttle. There are no really flash building techniques with this one but it is pretty much studless. d KRENNIC'S SHUTTLE Second, Director Krennic's Shuttle. Again this is studless. TIE STRIKER And last but not least the Tie Striker: Let me know what you think. Jon
