  1. That's the one, massive yellow bulldozer PF set.
  2. Myer (Adelaide store) had heaps of new stock in. The whole new Star Wars range, lots of Imperial Flagships, the large exclusive Technic set, heaps of PotC (oh wait that was old stock that hasn't moved). However I couldn't find the Tower Bridge, so either I missed seeing this giant set, they didn't get any in, they've sold what they've got, or some people have begged them to put them on hold until the sale starts. Also for those looking to import some sets, I investigated the options Ang911 mentioned a little, and both those shipping businesses look like good options, especially for big sets. Means we can shop at Amazon or USA shop at home.
  3. Glad to oblige. Usually when I have some newish information I'm beaten to the punch by someone else, so it's nice to be first for once. I see the minifigs as an added bonus to this set, I imagine a lot of people won't be displaying them with the set anyway. I think the Dengar fig will be very popular though as I think regardless of any flaws it is a dramatic improvement on the last one.
  4. For those that want to see IG-88 and Piett in more detail
  5. Well that's pretty definitive. I might just delete my post above and hide in the corner for a while! Lostdriveway, thanks for the great info. I guess Myer have marked up the Tower Bridge so they can claim to take 20% off. It's still very tempting, it'd be like having your own Legoland display in your home.
  6. Strange, I'm sure I saw the star next to it. Unless I was looking in poor lighting and it's actually a NZ exclusive or there's a catalogue mistake which does happen. I guess if Myer are getting them, there's a good chance of them being available next week for possibly $180 for Myer members.
  7. Edit: just ignore anything I may have said about the MF being a target exclusive. Is there a shame icon?
  8. There's only one tiny pic in the catalog. It doesn't really show anything that hasn't been seen before.
  9. Thanks so much for sharing your brilliant creation and welcome to Eurobricks. I look forward to seeing your movies of it.
  10. sok117, thanks for doing that, it's much appreciated.
  11. 100% it's Piett. I have the poster at home. UNfortunately brickshelf is still down so I can't upload the picture I took of Dengar. No it's a smaller poster with just selected figs from this year's sets. e.g it has the scout trooper but no ewoks from the ewok attack set. Edit: if anyone wants to PM me with their email address I can email them the pic of Dengar and they can put it on Flickr (I don't have an account and am at work so don't have time to mess around setting one up) Edit 2: Done, but now I wish I took a photo of the whole poster. Hopefully someone will scan it in today to share with everyone.
  12. Firstly, apologies if this has been mentioned already. I know there was some discussion on Dengar's headgear that I saw that hadn't reached a resolution. I have a poster that arrived with my Lego club (Australia) magazine today and it looks like it's a white pirate bandana. There's also some highly detailed face printing that makes it look like he has an open faced cloth balaklava on. Bossk looks the same to me as in the Slave One but I don't own so I could be wrong. Also the Imperial officer is Admiral Piett (just in case that hasn't been comfirmed). Finally IG-88's head is an inverted cone on a torso and on top of that is a printed 1x1 round brick. Edit: I'm trying to upload a pic but can't get brickshelf to load.
  13. Thanks for that (disappointing) news. That discount on the Tower Bridge is only just over 15%, nothing like the discount on the Imperial Flagship last year. So they didn't have any of the new themes like Alien Conquest?
  14. Thanks for the info, Ang. It looks like it was a smart move by you buying Diagon Alley for around $200 as I can't see it being better than 20% off ($216) at Target, plus it might be hard to find as they don't tend to get as much stock in as Myer. It's great news for those after the Tower Bridge though.
  15. If you guys can let us know how your experiences go with shopforme.com.au it would be greatly appreciated. I can't find much information on them around the web. Are they new? The Shanghai Chase set is something I haven't seen in stores for at least two years. Edit: Just a note to be on the cautious side folks, this site looks very new and claims to be an official e-commerce retailer for Lego which I'm surprised about because from my conversations with official Lego sellers it is extremely difficult to become an official supplier. Hopefully it's all above board, but personally I'd be very wary from purchasing from here with the current lack of information around about them.
  16. $280, they haven't discounted it at all from RRP, so $210 after 25% off. Edit: I forgot to mention earlier Myer will have 40% off all full-priced books too and they had the new Harry Potter book and a range of other smaller books. The HP book would be $24 after discount, which is fairly close to the best prices online except you don't have to wait a couple weeks to get it and risk it getting damaged in transit.
  17. Yeah it's June 23 this year. The Tower Bridge looks beautiful and Myer (if they get it) will likely have it at a very good price but it takes up a huge amount of space to display which I don't have.
  18. Not in Adelaide anyway. I don't know where these people were getting their info (they said Myer staff), but last week was when they said it would be out, and that's been and gone without a peep. Adelaide store did have the one Imperial Flagship still so for anyone here that was sitting on the fence about it, I suggest you grab it at 5:31 tomorrow night, it's a great set.
  19. Nothing new in Myer Adelaide today either, so unless I hear any different tomorrow I won't be making a trip to the stocktake sale. Has anyone heard if the new Harbour sets will be a k-mart exclusive (at least initially)? It just fits in with the themes they've got first over the last few years. With Kingdoms looking like at least a short term Toyworld exclusive and Alien Conquest apparently not hitting our shores for a couple months, this year's sales look like they might be good for my wallet for once.
  20. Generally no, the real excitement tends to be all the new sets and themes released. Places like Target and Myer tend to do 20% off with the occasional set more (although perhaps it will be 25% this year). If you haven't already, join MyerOne as they usually have a couple days at the beginning of the sale where you get an extra 10% off the discounted price. Also, the exclusives that stores get often sell out quickly. Last year at Myer it was the Emerald Night and Imperial Flagship and at Big W some of the star wars and farm sets were hard to find a few days after the sale started.
  21. For those in Adelaide keen to get their hands on a Kingdoms windmill set, it's currently at Toyworld Marden for $110 ($10 below RRP). They also have the king's carriage set at $70 (RRP), Winter Bakery ($100, $5 above RRP I believe) and Winter Toy Shop ($120, $5 above RRP?). I can confirm my local (Newton) Target had all the Star Wars sets at RRP less 99 cents. The ewok set feels like the worst price to weight ratio ever.
  22. In relative terms I've spotted a bargain for Aus buyers. The fisherman's boat from the city range is RRP of $25 here and $20 in US. Whether the set is worth either of those prices is another discussion for a different topic, but I'll be trying to grab it for a mate's son at 25% off. Also just to add some data and balance to the endless pricing debate. As has been previously stated, prices are set well in advance. Our currency has climbed 25% against the US dollar in the last 12 months, so maybe some of the imbalance will be rectified over the next year. Also, the comparisons someone was making to Danish prices relative to ours, forgot to include the fact that they have a 25% VAT compared to our 10% GST. I'm actaully finding the lack of availability of sets in Australia, or only at selected retailers in very limited numbers at least as big a deterrent as the price at the moment. Given the info that people have mentioned here it doesn't seem like we can expect any decent prices on Kingdoms or Alien Conquest (if they arrive) for the mid-year sales.
  23. That seems pretty silly with Alien Conquest as there's a full page advert for it in the Captain's Cabin PotC set I bought, with no mention of a future release date. It actually gave the impression that the sets should be in stores now.
  24. I think we need one of the sellers on here to definitively answer that. I know Target had the Clone Turbo Tank last year before everyone else as an exclusive for their mid-year sale, but that isn't for a long while yet and it seems pretty early to be putting stock out for that. People have been reporting the smaller Star Wars sets appearing at Target so maybe they're just getting them on the shelf first, so you might get lucky at the Myer sale. I saw a number of very large Lego boxes at my local k-mart about to be put out tonight but couldn't get a good enough look at the labels to see the set number, but one box looked the perfect size for two MFs, but I guess that could quite easily be the to be released giant Ninjago set or something else I'm not aware of.
  25. Myer stock take sale starting next Wednesday is having 25% off toys. That's probably not very exciting to most of us, unless they get some new stock in. Actually, I just remembered there was one imperial flagship in the Adelaide store which on sale would set you back about $210 if it's still there.
