  1. Any pics or comments from my post yesterday? It was about the underside...
  2. Anyone have a side-by-side comparison pics of the underside of the old UCS MF versus the new? I know the new MF still has brick pieces with studs inward unlike Marshall B's mod MF.
  3. Yeah, I edited my post. I noticed the top pic was the old MF. :)
  4. Thanks @Jim looking forward to the review.
  5. It would be nice to hear from Hans (designer of this set since he visits our boards) if Lego plans to make enough sets for years to come... My wife gave me the "evil eye" yesterday while at the Lego store when I saw this set, lol. I'll get the set someday but might take me a couple of years hence my question.
  6. According to multiple sources Lego employees receive a 30% discount during first 90 days of employment and 50% discount after...pretty good! They can get the new MF for $400 USD. Anyone know if their discount code or whatever they use works online?
  7. I too love my Slave 1, it was my second UCS set but my fav thus far. Only thing I would mod is the wing connectors to the main base (creator used black pieces to create depth). There is a YouTube video about it, it's a bit involved.
  8. LOL at MF post above...well done. I like this UCS set a lot, semi-hefty price though...not thrilled with that sticker sheet so it seems. Hopefully they give us two for potential mess ups. I'd get it...two blasters, peeps! :)
  9. Pretty sure it was Hans...plus he had legit new photos of turning the UCS Slave 1 back to Jango's ship version. Seen it?
  10. You will love your UCS Slave 1...I know I do mine. No regrets!
  11. There was a big debate that the Falcon actually is white and not gray...that it is old and dirty looking. Good work on the micro build. :)
  12. Curious if there is a chance of buying the instructions just for the mini scale Millennium Falcon instead of the entire thing? I'm making a hanging Lego mobile for the baby's room.
  13. Cool stuff...I'll need to wait on this (middle-end of escrow on a house and baby on the way). Enjoy it all of you! Well done Medical Frigate team!
  14. No hate on the review...it was well done! Thanks for the honesty. Not a fan of the set either. Waiting for someone to buy two Hoth sets and make a "finished" one like someone did with the Maz Palace one. :)
  15. Nicely done! I was wondering if it'd be better to make it so that the mini-fig "sits down" in it like it would a Lego motorcycle (essentially standing up).
  16. Congrats to you mortesv. And thanks for the congrats, guys (and the ideas of what to do about getting it in the baby's room, haha). Do not worry at all Cjd223, we understand. Ohhhh... ye ol' college days. More than a 1000 pages will be nuts. I'm looking forward to the instructions for the mini-scaled MF too. I'm making the baby a Lego Star Wars ship mobile for the room. :D
  17. How to justify to my wife the cost to make this. Think...think...think... Got it! This model will go in our future son's Star Wars room (due in Sept.) as part of the decoration! Huzzah! ;)
  18. firstofminifigs, have the link to the Mixel joint mod, please?
  19. It was a joke. :) The explosion and deaths of Alderaan.
  20. Too soon, LiLme, too soon... ;)
  21. Safe to say UCS Boba Fett is on the most top 5 lists...and I definitely agree. He's my fav. hands down.
  22. I feel for Brick Commander and all the comments he must be reading for this set.. . Do know we loved your UCS Slave 1 and the new TFA Millennium Falcon though. We just expected so much more from the set, especially since it was listed as "challenging".
  23. I'm with the others...Maz statue please! Very nice WIP.
  24. I was going to comment about the ships until I saw your motive... $$$. :\
