  1. Dog Contest Winner, but only because of the dog ...
  2. I have to vote for the Robot because he's pretty cool looking. But interestingly enough, I don't think I own a single one of these ...
  3. Sorry, I for one would enjoy more Halloween/monster mninifigures so I say bring it on. Not that I necessarily want a whole series dedicated to it again, but there's still a great deal of potential in that theme. I would expect that if they do indeed plan on releasing a "costume party" series then this would be an ideal place to include one or two more. A hot dog vendor is already coming in Series 17, so one of your wishes has been granted.
  4. Costume Party? :) A whole series of costume figures?
  5. I don't own him yet, but the Musketeer is the one that spoke to me the most in this round. I adore the babysitter because of the recolor of that great hair and of course, the baby!!! But the Musketeer just does it for me. The Heroic Knight (whom I also don't own yet) was a close second because he has some really great printing.
  6. Fantastic! Absolutely Fan-flippin'-tastic! Well done!
  7. Ooh, maybe Mythology - it's "historic" but in a more fantastical way. I would be SOOO all over this ...
  8. Totally the Tribal Woman, in my book. Don't even own the Elf yet ... I came late-ish to the minifigure party and trying to play catch up ... :)
  9. Out of the assembled minifigures, Wizard is definitely my favorite. Clumsy Guy is a close second.
  10. I suppose it's possible that they might consider a second Ninjago series, but without seeing what's in store for movie sets, the CMF, etc., and not to mention seeing the actual movie and all of the characters, it's hard to say. It would be a lot to hope for, but I would definitely be behind a DC Comics CMF line, especially one that is NOT Bat-centric and include comic-based Justice League, Teen Titan, Legion, etc, characters. I know I said the flesh tone characters aren't my favorite, but as a Superhero junkie in general, and a DC junkie in specific, I would love to flesh out (pardon the pun) my roster of DC heroes. But I doubt they would go that route - two CMF lines in 2018 dedicated to DC characters would probably not go over well. Maybe Star Wars? That would be something ...
  11. That may be YOUR "ideal layout," but it's not mine. One regular series a year doesn't cut it, especially when there is a whole host of imaginative ideas out there that could fill up the regular CMF lines for decades. We'll just have to agree to disagree.
  12. Well, well, well ... I am surprised about no Disney 2 ... I thought this series sold really well. I guess time will tell what Lego has in store for us. But I agree, I hope it's series CMF 18 and 19!
  13. That's really cool! Awesome job!
  14. Ooooh, I like this idea!!!
  15. 1) Teddy Bear Man 2) Ventriloquist/Puppeteer 3) Rodeo Clown 4) Dentist 5) Terracotta Warrior 6) Ragdoll 7) Centaur 8) Pizza Suit Guy (or Girl!) 9) Aristocratic Lady 10) Teacher 11) Falconer 12) Alien Scoundrel 13) Bard 14) Monster Bride 15) Old West Gambler 16) Fairy Tale Prince Wake me up in a year ... *sigh* ... when it's time to tally the votes.
  16. Hearing we are only getting one normal wave again next year really irritates me since the minifigures are the whole reason I got into Lego in the first place. It also makes the inclusion of minifigures like the surfer and the dance instructor we're getting in Series 17 seem even MORE of a bad, redundant decision since we're not getting fresh characters for presumably another whole year. At least Ninjago and the Lego Movie 2 series in 2019 would presumably include figures with the regular "yellow" skin tone in it, so I suppose it would be similar to having a regular CMF series. Maybe not as wacky or as surprising a mix of figures as we get in the CMF, but they would go along with them nonetheless. And again, if we are NOT getting a second Disney wave in 2018, what could the second licensed wave be? Not a second NInjago series?
  17. Man, that is very, very disappointing.
  18. Right? I mean, really, Robert 8 has given us six series of pretty original designs and in Series 17 we get ... another Surfer?!? A Dance Instructor who looks like she's the Fitness Instructor's long lost, and possibly insane, sister?!? (Granted, she's growing on me the more I look at her, but still ...) A Frenchman who likes look the mime without his makeup? (Although the bulldog makes him a must have, of course ...) I don't say it to blow smoke up your you-know-where, but I would kill to have the Lego Group give some serious consideration to your designs because I would absolutely love to add just about all of these to my collection.
  19. Well, you did it again! Another great series! Celtic Battler, Hat Maker, Spooky Knight, Winter Sprite, Cartoon and Lion Suit Guy are the stand outs for me, but I also adore the Egyptian Empress, the Android Woman, the Mayor, and Evil Genie. The rest are also well done Really, a truly cool line up! I said it once, I'll say it again - Lego should really consider hiring you as a freelance designer!
  20. I got a whopping 1 with my guess of the Circus Strong Man. I suck at this as well! But, it's fun nonetheless!
  21. Oooh, that just made me think how epic a Day of the Dead figure would be ...
  22. I am just thinking out loud here, and in the wrong section, I know, but after looking at the new bulldog, and the terrier from the last series, I wonder how long it will be before the Lego City line gets a dog park?
  23. Well, this was a nice surprise to come home to, series 17 at last revealed! It's always so interesting to see everyone's reactions - the good, the bad, the ugly. It's always amusing to see someone hate on a particular minifigure, only to have someone come along two posts later saying it's the best thing ever. Different strokes ... For me, the Circus Strongman, the Battle Dwarf and the Rocket Boy are my favorites. I think the Butterfly Girl is cute, and I love the animals with the Vet and the Frenchman. I'm also looking forward to the Gourmet Chef and the Elf Maiden. I'm not sure I like the Dance Instructor or the Surfer as they just seem redundant but the new surfboard and the dancer's ... unique ... hair make them interesting, at least. Looking forward to seeing the Highwayman ...
  24. Well, if it comes out on May 1 like I think it was stated it's supposed to, that's only 10 weeks or so ... not *too* long of a wait. But yeah, the suspense is killing me ...
