  1. Gads, I just don't know about this series. I want to like it, but I just don't. I don't like the way they did Ursula's torso, I don't like the way they did Genie's head/hair/ears, I don't know why they chose that silly green alien from Toy Story 2 when the slot could have gone to someone a lot more deserving, and all of the faces look ... off to me, not very Lego at all. I am also not a fan of the molded heads for Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy, the alien or the Cheshire Cat. Stitch's came out well, though. (I can totally see them using Aladdin's hair and fez for a Dr. Who minifigure somewhere down the road, too). Outside of Maleficent, and *mayyyyybe* Alice, Peter Pan and Aladdin, I really can't see myself purchasing a whole lot of these.
  2. Those are some really cool designs - I would hate to think we might not get Lego versions of these due to some kind of copyright infringement. The Bear Suit Guy is cool, and i like their "cute witch" and Chinese zombie as well as Cupid, etc.
  3. I think the "fox" is actually supposed to be a red panda, but I could be wrong.
  4. Happy Belated Birthday! (Mine is in a couple of weeks, April 4) On topic - I am looking forward to seeing images of the figures we haven't glimpsed yet. I am not sure how exciting the hiker or the secret agent is going to be, but I do want to see the Dog Show judge at least, just so I can check out the new dog.
  5. I'm not sure if this is widely known, or if all Toys R Us does this, but if you don't find the minifigs on a shelf, check up at the service desk. My local store keeps them up there to thwart shop lifters and/or the @$$hats ... Uhm, ahem, I mean, shoppers who like to open the bags. They also invited me to feel the packages to find what I needed, which I didn't think they were going to allow.
  6. I love that director ... I am quite surprised he *HASN'T* been made into a minifigure yet. Hopefully someday.
  7. Excellent work! Thanks for sharing!
  8. Seeing the guitar the Mariachi serenader is holding, I now want to see a Coffeehouse Singer girl with the forest maiden/Ewok Village Leia hair in brown or a funky color. But back on topic, yeah, these look great - the Imp, the Ice Queen and the baby are my favorites. While I won't go so far as to wish my summer away to get to September faster, I will eagerly look forward to their release. Especially since the Disney series isn't exactly lighting my fire.
  9. I went to a Toys R Us near me yesterday, to no avail. The staff member I spoke to didn't know what I was talking about, even after I explained it was an Easter promotional figure. I watched her go on the website, which of course didn't help any because the figure was taken down ... so, no Chicken Suit Guy for me yet. I am hoping another Toys R Us nearby might have it, or that the one near my niece does - I put her on the job. On the plus side, the store DID have Series 15 minifigures so I picked up a few more of those instead.
  10. I am bracing myself for a flood of maritime puns.
  11. Wrestler. There's a ton of Wrestlers in the boxes. Or it least, it always seems like it.
  12. Yoo-hoo, here! Over here! Me! Me! With the whole giant stable of the DC Universe at LEGO's disposal, the very last thing we need is more Bat variants. In my humble opinion, of course. I know that people are going to jump down my throats for saying this, they're going to cry that Batman is *the* most popular DC Comics character and he sells toys and blah blah blah, but I emphatically don't care. I think he's overused, and overrated and I'd much prefer to see some other characters in brick form. Now, let the witch burning commence. I'm wearing my flame retardant undies.
  13. I don't care why, I just want a chance at getting him! :) For a reasonable price, that is.
  14. Breathtaking - a spectacular piece of work! Bravo!
  15. If it was a way to get more B-list or obscure DC characters, I'd welcome a Lego Batman CMF line, but I'm afraid we'd get like four variations of Batman and then filler, which is not something I would want to see. Time will tell, I suppose.
  16. I certainly hope they don't completely abandon the "regular" CMF series in favor of specialty themes only in 2017 ... I don't see myself buying many Ninjago CMFs, and a Batman line would really depend on the figure selection. Disney ... well,l the jury is still out on that one. I am waiting to see what the first Disney series has before I'd commit to a second one.
  17. I honestly don't know whether to applaud them or be irate about that ... not that it matters to me personally ...
  18. Visited two Targets today, found some at one of them - bought 8 but found out that I misidentified one of the bags and got an "extra" Faun - not sad about that one bit. So I went back in and grabbed five more - but got two more doubles which is fine because I always end up collecting two full sets. So out of the 13 I bought I got 10 originals and now only need the remaining six. So, pretty happy because I was really surprised that my Target had them out early. This NEVER happens.
  19. Spectacular! Thanks for sharing!
  20. I look forward to getting the opportunity to try ... someday! :)
  21. I think what's interesting is that people are expecting them to not be minidolls ... these sets will be aimed at young girls. Of course it's going to be mini-dolls because the mini-dolls seem to be doing well for them in the Friends and Elves lines. I understand hope spring eternal and all of that, and I would have rather seen minifigures, too, but this is one case where we have to be realistic. Then again, I have no official news or pictures to go on, so I may be wrong, But I really don't think I am.
  22. I don't know if anyone's seem them on other parts of the boards, but I saw some villain minifigures from the Nexo Knights line on The Brick Fan page and was thinking the General's hair piece and "Flama's" red lower body would make great pieces for an Evil Genie if they saw fit to give us one in this series ...
  23. I am a guy, and I used to babysit for neighbors all the time as a teenager. However, I agree that the babysitter will very, very likely be a girl. And I also hope we get a more modern baby mold rather than a recolored papoose. Not sure it would look quite right.
  24. My local Target was late getting the series out on shelves - it was a good three to four weeks later than everywhere else. So by the time my Target had them, I had already picked up my full set from my Lego store and other locales. And if you want to talk about "the ghost of minifigs past" still lurking around, some of my local Wal-marts still have Simpsons Series 2 lying around!
  25. I, too, called the Lego Store (mine's in Rochester, NY) and got the "the series has been delayed until late January, early February" response. :(
