  1. Thank you! I wasn't too keen on starting to use brick built roads at first, but it's really great to be able to add texture, man holes and water leaks etc. Thank you for your kind words! Thanks! Some stood there, looking, for quite some time. Thank you! It's a bit hard to know when it's time to stop adding things. I think I got at least twice the amount of minifigs to the exhibition, but I couldn't add them all. The football pitch went down really well with the kids (together with the flashing police car and the skate park). It's a bit funny, as that is the simpliest part of the layout. Thanks! Lightning make such a big difference. All the wires makes it hard to arrange the lay out, but it's so worth it. The red bus is a favourite of mine too. It's supposed to be the touring bus for the band that is waiting outside the hotel: [MOC] NYC Fire Escape by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr Thank you for your kind words! I'm happy to share it.
  2. Thank you! I really like to add some scruffiness to my builds. It also makes the building process far more interesting.
  3. The roof line is great, but I also like that you've used the actual roof too! Often, they can just be empty and a waste of space. Well done!
  4. My town is always changing. Buildings appear and disappear from time to time. This is what Bricklyn looked like at the annual Swebrick exhibition in 2018. Somebody asked me if it's a CB (Community Build). I said no, it's a EB (Ego Build). [MOC] Skate Park

Thank you! Thanks! A BMX bike would be cool to include, but I haven't figured out how to build one. Thank you! I liked the logo and thought it would fit in a skate park. Thanks! I haven't got any photos of my town with these last builds, but this is from last summer: The town is ready for tomorrow. by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr There are more pictures in this gallery: https://flic.kr/y/2T6r9pc You can also check my albums: https://www.flickr.com/photos/130550182@N05/albums There will be a big exhibition in Sweden in April, hopefully I will be able to bring a lot of my builds and take some pictures.

    [MOC] EAT Diner

Thanks! I've wanted to do some traffic lights for a while, but not gotten round to it until now. Thank you for your kind words, I'm starting to blush. Thank you! A pair of scissors can be handy in a kitchen. Cheers!

    [MOC] EAT Diner

Thanks! I put a lot of effort on the interior. I happened to get some extra 15068pb075 to make the sofas. Thank you! I'm really happy with the letters. I tried to make the A in the same style as the E and the T, but it didn't work out too great. Thanks a lot! I was aiming for the '50's look, and it seems it turned out fine. Thank you for the kind words! The lights are permanent. There's even a yellow light (and a turkey) in the owen, but it's hardly visible: [MOC] EAT Diner by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr

  13. Thank you! I wanted two types of swings, the dish is supposed to be what we in Sweden call "kompisgunga" (friends swing): I guess it might be called bird nest swing in Engllish? Swings made out of old tyres are quite common here. I got inspiration from here and there. One thing was that I'd recently watched The Wire, and where where a lot of scenes on a basket ball court. Another was that I found some pieces on Bricklink, like the hoop and the net. I tried to use them, but the scale was too far off: [WIP] Street basketball court by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr The debris is just a way to try to be creative in way you normally don't do in the Lego world.
  14. Cool! Well done.
  15. Thank you! I like to build "ugly" scenes. Thanks for your kind words, I'm glad you like it. Thanks! I wouldn't trust that dog either. You can see it live, if you come to Huskvarna, Sweden, April 28-29. It's a bit far for you, I guess. ;-) Thank you! I'm glad you find it interesting, though it's not your style.

  17. I quote my self from a similar thread (https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/149236-how-do-you-expert-builders-begin-to-design-and-build-a-modular-building/&tab=comments#comment-2833274): I start with an idea I might get from a real building or something from a movie. Sometimes I just start with some interesting pieces I find in my collection. Here, in my latest MOC, I wanted to achieve a run down look. I saw a building in The Wire that I really liked: [MOC] Worn down building by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr This hotel started with an idea of making fire escape stairs: [MOC] NYC Fire Escape by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr In this case, it was the 1 x 4 brick with groove that made me think of a ware house of sorts: Tailor at the Warehouse by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr This gas station was an attempt to build something with round shapes, art deco-style: [MOC] Gas station by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr I never build in LDD, trial and error with bricks is my way of doing it.

  19. Thank you! I'm glad you found the backside interesting too. Thanks for your kind words! You're right about that some street lights would fit in. I've tried some different types: Some street lamps by Nybohov Creation Ltd., on Flickr
  20. Thanks for your input! I'm the least satisfied with the white buildnig, so I can argue with you about that. I wanted to use the pieces from the. less than great, Brick Bank. What I really wanted to try in this project was different types of striping techniques. There's not much going on inside. That's why I've used curtains and blinds in the windows. I don't really like to build apartement interiors anymore. I get stuck in logic, and I think that there has to be a certain features, like a kitchen, a toilet and a bed. Thank you! I'm glad you like it, Thanks! I've never been to New York, so I've used Google Street view a lot.

    [MOC] Laundromat

Thanks! I get your point on one storey buildings, but I like to get a variety in my town. One benefit of lower buildings is that you can see what's going on at the back.
  22. So simple, and so great! I mught borrow this idea.
  23. Well done!
  24. Thanks for your kind words.
