Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Corvus replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yeah, he talks about how padawans cut holes in stuff the entire time. As far as I remember, the 'prequel' book to Ep. II said that Bariss was only a few years younger than Anakin. -
It is OT, seeing as we get a new Han in Carbonite mold.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion

Wow. Really good episode. I have to say, there were almost no complaints from me- which is rare. The animation was good as usual, very artistic, and Barriss Offee was great. My favorite bit about this episode was the dialogue. It seemed a lot more natural than the usual CW dialogue, and I wasn't squirming in my bean bag while listening to it. No more cheesy original-trilogy quotes! The minor complaints: Anakin's sudden jump into interrupting his padawan seemed a little too forced, a little too out of character for him. Those tanks seemed a little to bit indestructable. Just a bit. I hope we won't be seeing them again- as cool as they were (Rockets!!!) they're going to have to have some major dumbing-down to make them compatible with the rest of the vehicles, as three of them could probably destroy an entire army. The next episode looks...interesting. I couldn't figure out what it was about, though. Something about Geonosians, and something that "wasn't meant to be disturbed". I noticed Geonosians with glowing eyes- zombies? EDIT: Here's what Wookiepedia has to say on Ep. 7 "Legacy of Terror" -
The Men Who Stare At Goats Absolutely hilarious movie. There were a lot more Jedi references than I was expecting. "Some say their helicopter crashed, but that's what happens when you try to fly a helicopter while tripping on acid."

Lots of new items from BrickForge

Ah well. I guess you're right- the are different enough for people to choose their favorites. Anyway, there are some really neat parts here; I think my favorite is the golf club. -

Wait, what? Brickarms already makes the plasma sword and phaser. Why is Brickforge doing this? IMO, Brickarm'sversions are still better. Not to say I don't like Brickforge- the armor, mushrooms, berets, Spartan helmets, etc. are all still great. -

Grievous? Grievous?! Grievous. Neat. Not necassarily. Remember- CW is now, EP. III was years ago (to kids, that is). Besides, we can't be entirely sure it's a 'standard' head- it's not exactly the clearest pic.

Neat. I remember watching that show. Like Mraz 'Skintas, I haven't seen it in years, but it stands out as one of the more different shows I remember seeing.

I get the flamethrower part- that was pretty neat. I wish they'd explained the mash-up of troops, though. It'd be a good detail, having drawn all the spares they could from all parts of the galaxy to mount the assault. -
I'd assume that the Talz will be the same as Chewie. Whoa.... that's interesting. Looks like it came out in 2003. That's....yeah, six years. Looks like I was off by two years. Thanks for the correction.

Huh... I'll have to admit, my view is a little lopsided, as I don't have the Y-wing. However, Anakin's fighter, while smaller, is still loads of fun. Personally, I think the smaller sets are always easier to swoosh, and therefore more fun to re-inact certain battles.

Ugh, I hope not. Way too big. Well, I'm fairly sure he meant 'new' as in new figs, etc- especially with the new AT-AT pilot helmet we've seen. The main reason of course, are to update it to give us incentive to buy something new. Since it's been almost 9 years since the non-motorized AT-AT came out, so I'm sure some of us would love to see a more accurately built, non-motorized, non-tecnic version. However, I'm not sure what the kids who own the motorized version would have to say to a static model...

I am unable to see how a viral disease would cause Fenyman to attack the captain like he did. He could perhaps have been driven to madness by pain, but this seems unlikely.

That's really clever. Great job!

But I can undergo far more rigorous disinfection precautions than your fragile body can. May I pose a question? Why are we so convinced that this is a 'infection' that you can catch like any other simple disease? Have we seen any evidence of this? If this was an infection given to you by the local fauna, why would it be found lying next to the body of the infected? Post edited for 'flora' to 'fauna'

I am made of advanced alloys. I do not 'rust', like your iron or steel of old. However, I do not do well being submerged in water. Or a big electrical shock. These are not fun.

Yes. My lack of lungs mean I am most well suited to the task.

What happened to the web comic? It hasn't been posted yet. -
I would not be too sure about airborne infection. But then again, I'm an android. I don't breathe anyway. What do I care?

I don't get it either. I never upload anything directly to EB- I have no idea how much it can actually store. I'd much rather use Flickr or Bricklink, and then post them to EB from there.

Dang. That was one good episode. The good stuff: TURRETS! Finally! This made me happy. Overall, it was a great, action-packed episode. Very violent, and very detailed. Obi and Mundi actually getting hurt, and the clone injecting Obi with a hypo was a nice touch. It was also neat that Obi actually appeared shacken and weak afterward- not jumping up and returning to fighting, like what happened in "Jedi Crash." The clone flamethrowers were a nice, if dark, touch. It's odd that Mundi, as a Jedi, would tolerate it. I have to say, my only bothers were: -Mundi's lack of anything significant. -The awkward banter between Anakin and Ahsoka. I mean, really, that seemed to throw off the dialogue a bit... -The odd mash-up of different clones. Standard troopers, ARF troopers, snowtroopers, and the funny-helmeted guys? What was up with that? I mean, I like diversity with clones, but snowtroopers? -

Ya know we're not all humans here right? Correction: I am an android. I am superior to carbon life forms. This is going to be fun. -

I suppose he does need something more casual for picking up alien chicks in. Where does he put them, though?
