I just saw it again in IMAX 3D. I thought about this, and I noticed that there are some really stupid names on the periodic table. Such as: Americium, Californium, and Einsteinium, to name just a few. I think one thing that would have made a more viable reason for the human's actions was to include an actual human settlement. Sure, we saw a compound. Big whoop. It doesn't say, "We've been here for years mining this place, and we have family here! We live here!" as much as I think it should have.

Yes, the staff and moderators all have their special hidden threads and whatnot that (aside from PM, etc.) they can talk about all of you, what to do about the forums, and party. But until then, you didn't see anything.

Ooh, wow. Three new Atlantis and Space Police sets. Two new themes. Atlantis: Can't tell what the giant red thing is, but it's going to be absolutely amazing. Space Police: SP base? Ooh, yes. Is this the return of the old classic space moonbases? I doubt it, but it's nice to hope. World Racers: I love it. It's crazy and so post-apocalyptic. There are a few annoyances, such as giant Bionicle launchers, but it's otherwise good as far as I can tell. In any case, it's nice to see minifigs returning to Racers. Kingdom: I love it. It's so classic and yet so refreshing. I love the new helmet. Having both human factions is also very cool. New-wave Bionicle: I'll wait... we'll see if it's same ol', same ol'. Social life? I've already given it up. What else is left to get rid of...? School!

Burning... probably not. Maybe a little singeing. I do remember that someone on EB made a 'damaged' Rebel pilot helmet a while ago. Maybe try a seach? I remember it was very cool.

Bah. My computer had a pretty bad virus/thing, and so I've been without computer for a week, only sporadically coming on to check e-mail and lego news when I got the chance- in other words, at school. Fortunately it's back, though it had to undergo a complete re-boot. Everything has to be completely reinstalled, but all my files weren't lost, fortunately. We luckily had the foresight to back up all our documents on an external hard drive before sending it to the computer wizards. If only I were that organized... I'm working on sorting out my lego, but I misunderestimated all the parts and colors there were. I suppose I'll start with color and go from there.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Corvus replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Star Wars Episode Guide: The Deserter 'While searching for General Grievous on a distant planet, Rex encounters a deserter' Well, this looks interesting. We might get to see some insight into the clones, and an episode without Ani and Ahsoka is always a plus to me. (Although there are exceptions, I've found Anakin's voice to be the worst of the lot- turning potentially good quotes into me slapping myself on the forehead.) Plus there's a Twi'lek right there in the preview picture. EDIT: That was episode 10. Here's Episode 9: Grievous Intrigue: A Jedi Master is taken hostage and tortured by General Grievous. Anakin, Obi-Wan and Adi Gallia devise a daring rescue plan, but they soon realize the General has a plan of his own. Adi Gallia is this person: Interesting.... Why are these two showing up? Is it a double episode? -
Android S/N: 'AHY6CEF3' (aka DAVE) Mainly taken aboard to keep the noisy people in the Rights of Intelligent Automatons Association quiet you are the token android, but at least the crew of the Gagarin likes you and have nicknamed you DAVE after the fact that you're equipped with "Digital Audio-Video Enhancements", at least according to the marketing department of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. And though one would believe an android couldn't be infected by an organic being, security never was Sirius Cybernetics' strongest side, so you've been neatly reprogrammed into being controlled by the pack member T'fa and are thus to be considered as infected. Hmm...Enhanced Digital Audio-Video Enhancements... does that mean I play Blu-Ray?

Hope they don't get coal in their stocking- they'd probably use it for energy. Maybe some vegetables?

I just saw the 3-D version and: Holy-crap-I-have-a-new-favorite-movie. Perhaps it's because my standards were very low at the moment, as the last movie I saw in theaters was "Ninja Assassin." Maybe it was because I hadn't seen a 3-D movie in a long time, and was expecting the red and blue cardboard glasses. I admit I wasn't surprised about the ending, but I did worry about the secondary characters more. I fully expected the female Na'vi (Not going to try to spell the name) to do something stupid at the end when she was hiding behind the tree. Oh....and unobtainium? The Na'vi had a lot more 'dangerous' feel to them than, say, Ewoks. Judging by the size of their arrows, I would run for my life from one. And yes, the gunship/helicopters did succeed in blowing a lot of them to kingdom come. There was a suspicious lack of Napalm, Agent Orange, and tanks, though, which is what I would have used against them. I have a name for the sequel: Avatar 2: Revenge of the Shareholders.

I feel your pain. It's was -10 F here the entirety of last week. Now, though, it's a balmy 36. Isn't it nice?

The sets are wonderful. They're probably going to cost an arm and a leg, but they do look fantastic. As far as minifigs go, I'm unsure about Grievous. It just seems like he's had too much detail packed into him, and kind of looks like those funny Megablock figs. Hopefully this is just because it's a prelim. I disagree on the Slave I. There are some key differences to it, like the tail and the coloration, that really make it better than the previous one. I would've liked better fins on the side, but oh well... But judging by your avatar, you have a beautiful model of the Slave I- so what are you complaining about?

legoboy12345678, here's a hint: get a tripod. Seriously. That video was a pain to watch, constantly in and out of focus. I looked at his other review of the Freeco speeder. I wasn't expecting Anakin to have a double sided head.

All this talk is frying my circuits. My logics core is having trouble following all the discussion. I believe I will need time to process all this information. Rather than things sorting out, they are being stirred up like a a piece of paper in a sandstorm. Voting...unvoting...I wonder if even the ship's AI can keep track of it all.

A simple solution might be to cut the tops off of a few favorite boxes. I've been saving a few up, and I've been trying to decide three that I think either look cool/are a nice, rare old set.

You lucky *BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEP*. Shelves are beautiful. Very beautiful. I never have enough, and I can't seem to find the kind I use at Ikea any more... Definately have a good use of your table. I'm currently asking for a new, modular one for christmas, we'll see how it goes.

Glad to feel wanted.

I am unsure I follow your logic. Perhaps if Susan would tell us who she blocked, we might know. If Wicwa was not blocked, then I am inclined to believe that our Lt. Commander has been leading us a merry dance around the harddrives.

I like those, they sure are great. They are really cool, but they don't quite remind me of lego. I'd say they more remind me of the miniature models you see around museums, etc.

No, I missed the deadline for entering. All the contests I've seen have simply had a deadline for submitting a MOC, but I haven't seen a deadline for simply entering. I'm sure this is nothing new, but...

CCD7's CD/OHP Marker Clones
Corvus replied to CloneCommanderDelta7's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Innocent? It's a piece of plastic. Not that I want to turn the thread into a volley of back and forth purist junk. If you don't like minifigure customizing, I'd say you're in the wrong forum. Besides, there are enough white clones out there to experiment on. It's not like they're rare, except for the pilots. Generic white clones are boring. That's why I've tried cutting official stickers and adding them to torsos, pauldrons, kamas, and occasionally helmets. I have no interest in army building, as I think it is rediculously boring. So, I'll decorate. It's fun, and as long as I don't post terrible cell phone pics of 'clonez 895 division their are elite this is commandr superfly', I don't care what people's anti-clone wars stance is. I like the work- I tried Sharpie-ing a clone, with mixed results. I didn't post it, simply because there are enough of them out there and that it's nothing compared to the wonderful work of customizers out there. It was mostly a test to see how well it works, and how steady my hand was before I tried moving on to paints. Private Sharpie will probably end up being put in a bin somewhere if I can't find out how to remove the Sharpie from him. While covering the helmet and whatnot with sharpy tends to look a little sloppy, I like the camo look. I think it might have turned out better if you used paint to keep it from being so shiny, as the others said. I think a neat effect is to use some of the vinyl dye I've seen used around as a base color, add some paint for the camo effect, and then use a waterslide decal for the torso. -
Curses. I wish I'd noticed that there was a deadline for entering. Ah well, that's what I get for reading 'Dec. 30' and not looking further. I guess I'm restricted to throwing insults from the sidelines. It's too bad that it's just landspeeders. It seems to me that anything that went along the ground could enter, I.E. speeder bikes and pod racers.

Thanks! I haven't seen these. They're great.

It's especially bad on windshields because it always, no matter how hard you try, ends up with fingerprint marks or bubbles... Ah well. At least they didn't skimp on the minifig printing. Two different helmets sure is nice.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Corvus replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Yes, that's my point. There were only two breaks last year- one mid-early season, before thanksgiving, I think. The other was Christmas, but I don't recall it being 4 weeks.
