  1. The cockpit pieces on the Tantive IV are printed, aren't they? I assume that's only because it's too awkward of a shape for a sticker, though. Some cockpits do have printing, such as the TIEs, Jedi starfighter (Ep. III) and the X-wing. I can't see them printing three cockpits with two different prints.
  2. Wait, the next episode isn't until January?! That's rediculous! That's the third time the schedule's been interrupted, and it's the second in a row. They're going to lose they're audience if they're not careful. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's already happened- there are no comments for this week's episode on the official SW website, which is a first. I also saw some ratings for the episodes, and the amount of viewers seems to be dropping, especially after a long break between episodes. I believe it's Agan (sp?) Kolar. Which is neat. However, it's also Grievous, and seeing how bad he was in season 1, I'm unsure if I want to see him again. Plus, I really hope his hands have been re-designed. His only having two fingers, which would result in one finger and one thumb per hand when he splits them, was incredibly annoying. It may be a minor design flaw, but they seem to pile up, leaving me distracted from enjoying the episode. For example: The clone's shoulder and upper arm armor. GIANT gap between armpit and armor. Rex's kama. It leaves a very wierd (IMO) gap between the legs in the back. This just seems awkward to me. Ani and Obi's body design. I Anakin is just too thin. Plus, he has a really long skirt, which seems really inhibiting. If they seem to be against giving a clone a half-skirt, why then do they give a Jedi a shin-length one? Anyway....it was a good episode. While some of the clone's hairstyles were a little bit odd- sideburns, as well as their hair just seeming too...round- This was one of the few episodes that left me hoping for the characters. Seeing as Barriss (in a way) and Ahsoka are both non-grounded-in-the-future Jedi, you had no idea what would actually happen. The preview image of Ahsoka wincing and then slashing out with her lightsaber helped with the effect. The dialogue seems to be getting better. I enjoyed Anakin's stressing out about Ahsoka, but was a little unsure of his chocking of Poggle. There didn't seem to be quite enough build up.
  3. Neat. I like how you used the Endor base style, and you beat me to it! I was actually planning to use the style in my base, currently in planning. You've given me some neat ideas for layout.
  4. I assume it connects to the car? Because headphones in a car is illegal.
  5. Ever seen that MOC of a concentration camp that someone passed off as a set? Yes, but the toy guns there are green or orange. Plus, minifig guns are small. They don't look real enough to make a police officer get worried. I talked to an officer about this sort of thing once. He said that they don't have time to casually ask if it's a toy or not. There are some real creeps out there, and officers have to react, fast.
  6. Oh jeez. This is why I dislike people building handguns out of lego. I see them on Brickshelf all the time, and I ask myself, "What's the point? It's a gun." Although I have seen a neat flintlock made out of Bionicle pieces.
  7. That makes sense. I remember the old ones being soft from the get-go, not rediculously stiff like they are today. I think I liked them more that way, but they do have a lot of trouble with fraying.
  8. I have not spoken up, as I had nothing to say. Some of you have been very content to throw suspicions around, leading to mass hysteria and pointing of fingers. I also did not want to vote off any being that I was not absolutely sure was infected. Many of you seem to be hopping on the bandwagon, following whoever votes first. However, I will be forced to make a decision soon, as the black hole draws ever nearer. The pitiful amount of evidence is nothing to convict anyone firmly; perhaps by killing off one or two of those who are suspected may yield some clues. I am still not ready to vote just now, however. I am uncertain whether to vote for Engineer Engofi- some of the other's suspicions are very tempting. Another choice is La'h'Rok. It is proven that he is at least a killer, and he has proven more of a bane than a boon to us....and yet, he might just be able to save us.
  9. I think the thing that most bums me out is the SQUARE front on the windshields. It might help with gripping, but it looks really ugly. I don't think they're supposed to be windows, are they? Oh well. The thing I'm worried about is that they're using the same part as last time for the angle next to the 2nd and 3rd cockpits- does anyone else remember the giant hole underneath those that you could see the pilot's legs in? But you know what's most annoying? Kit has light grey hands.
  10. Wait, who was the guy at the end with the guns? Agreed. It looks like Iron Man gets to fight the lawyers.
  11. I agree about the action, even though they didn't use their weapons right. However, the story was terrible. True, it wasn't meant to have much of a story, other than a huge fight, but the story about the girl and how she was researching assassin ninjas in a government agency made no sense at all.
  12. But it's painful, though. Ah well, to each his own. I play trumpet in the high school wind ensemble.
  13. The (2) new sets are now availabe at S@H! Link Well, at least in my country.
  14. I voted for the spaceman. I absolutely love that we get the neat SPIII helmet in white. I also think he has the neatest torso printing: However, it's a really close match between some of them. Even if some of them aren't particularly appealing (the diver), they all have something new to use, whether it's a part, a hairpiece, or a new printing- or all three. Really? That's interesting. I volunteer at a museum all the time, and I haven't heard any mention of this as being inappropriate (the volunteers use specific tribe names, actually). From what I know, it's really just historically incorrect, not offensive. Well, 'Funnest' is in the dictionary now....
  15. Oh, hey, look- there's something in parinthenses there. Oh? Does the crash-test dummy get a stick of dynamite, perhaps? A steering wheel?
  16. Wonderful job. This is definately the most accurate version (that I've seen) to date.
  17. The main problem, however, is that not all the figs have an equal amount of parts- the crash-test dummy, for example, will just have a head, torso, and legs. A lot of the others, however, will have hair and an accessory, as well. This leads me to think that we'll be getting a complete fig, but we won't know which one it is, and they'll all be randomly sorted in the box, or whatever the store sells them out of.
  18. Something I'm worried about- What plastic is being used? Actual lego plastic, or the crappy plastic that's been used in the magnet sets? That one might actually have been a buisness card. I don't think they'd include an Exo-Force minifig.
  19. #13? I almost agree- I have no idea what he is. However, a new hairpiece and face means that I will get him anyway.I have to say, I love the choice of figs for this. I can see all of them being used in some setting or another, especially the indian, astronaut, zombie, and forestman. Even for people who aren't theme specific, this is going to be an absolutely wonderful parts bag. Depends on what your lego budget is.
  20. This seems reasonable to me. I see 7 new molds, reviving two molds, re-coloring 4 existing molds, as well as all of them having new heads and torsos. I'd imagine that that would cost a good amount of money, considering there are going to do it again a few months. The question is, will these be available in retail stores? I'm worried they won't, because these things could be easily stolen.
  21. Very neat MOC. I especially like the thrusters- the trans-blue cheese slopes are very cool.
  22. Oh, Flickr, how I love thee. I find it's much easier to upload pics (as a batch, rather than one...at...a...time...) as well as how nice it is to be able to save other people's pics as 'favorites' and mark them as contacts, leave a message on a model, etc.... Oh, and added.
  23. That's actually the helmet that comes in the new SP sets, but white. Anyway, I'd love to get a fig like that. It's so much better than the SP ones we have now.
  24. Well... see for yourself. I experimented with multiple leg styles, but this was about the best I could get. I think the main problem was angling the foot- I tried to fix this by angling his foot's stud grip on the floor slightly.
  25. Thanks for the comments. It's from Brickforge. Ah, okay. I never really considered it- I know ballerinas/dancers have mirrors for the same reason, but I didn't consider the same for weight lifters. I assume it's just as important, though. Not having the right posture while lifting can really mess you up. It's behind his back.
