I always felt awkward lifting heavy chunks of metal during P.E. class, surrounded by mirrors on the walls. Why do we need those anyway? To watch ourselves make funny faces when we drop a dumbell on our feet? To get made fun of when you accidentally find yourself staring at somebody else while you were actually lost in thought? As you can tell, it's not my favorite memory. My Flickr.

I wonder...could we possibly be getting this guy? And before you say "But he was only in ESB!", yes, he did work on Anakin, alongside the multi-armed droid.

Don't you mean your lyre and flip-folder? Interesting solution. I'm a member of the high school band myself (trumpet). Having a flip folder is really nice, especially with 20-some songs to play.

What's there to mention? No Garindan. Now that we've been hearing about so many new figs, this set has really dropped out of my attention. I'd gladly get another of the neat battlepacks (or two) instead. Besides, if there's anything new, it will be posted. It's not like there's someone with news just waiting to post it because you asked.

Astounded by a complete lack of moral among the Grand Army, Chancellor Palpatine ordered the creation of a new class of trooper: the Yuletide Trooper. Flying throughout the galaxy in their bright red V-22s, the Yuletide Troopers gave gifts to all the clone troopers that had been good. "Gee, sir! Brickarms! Thank you so much!"

Well, first off: 1) You can re-size them on your computer, using whatever comes on your computer (windows, mac....whatever). 2)What did you use to download to the internet?

The sad thing, I think, is that it had to end like this: I was really looking forward to seeing some sort of re-vamped classic sets. But then these came- they are no improvement, since they don't have any better flexibility than the old ones did. To top it off, I never liked that shape of Matoran anyway... and it had to end like this? To be honest, I'm not surprised Bionicle is ending- I think even the kids eventually realized that all the sets were exactly the same, year after year, with some mild differences. I wonder what would have happened if TLC had put more effort into coming out with new torsos and a more significantly different look every year, such as the massive change from the old Mata torsos to the Metru ones.

He's in four- first season finale, and the first three episodes of season 2.(Unless you were counting the first two as one, because they were shown together) He'll also be showing up more in season 2- remember, we haven't seen Bossk yet. So, he's set to be a major character. The problem is, there wouldn't be any room for him to show up in his own set, unless it's something TLC is keeping secret, which means it could be a big set. I just hope it won't be his rediculously ugly ship.

First off, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum- I was unsure, because I plan to incorporate multiple themes into it. For a while now, I've been planning to build a new lego table- ever since I moved, everything has been sitting on shelves, cabinets.... anything it could sit on, without any real set up. It looked very pathetic. The other problem was this- How could I build a specific Lego table? I'm going to college in less than a year, so I don't want to build anything that won't fit anywhere else. So, I came up with a modular plan. So far (though this is subject to change) I've come up with three 30" x 45" tables, arranged in an L shape. This way, I could take one table to college with me, or re-arrange them as I see fit. I plan to put a layer of bley bricks down, followed by 8x8 plates, followed by 2x2 light bley tiles. This way, I can have a nice 'floor' to my table, while being able to have a bit of room to depress it by putting in a supply 'train' channel for it to run along. Also, I can put down other color tiles (yellow, black, dk bley) to designate areas. This will also be modular by 30" by 45" segment, connecting by technic pins. So far, here's a basic plan of the layout: So, there's not much. There's a general area for a 'hangar' and a 'parade ground'. The only specific building I have in mind is the command center, which will look something like the Endor bunker, but enclosed (obviously) and with a second level with wrap-around windows. So far, the themes I'm planning to include are mostly SW -because that's the most sets I have of- but it won't be limited to it. It's a very generic sort of base, without 'Empire', 'Rebels', 'Republic', or 'Seperatists'- again, those sets and minifigs are they're because they're what I have. This is why the topic isn't in the SW forum- because it's not really SW based. So, here's my question. I know there are a lot of you out there that are more experiences in base-building. So, throw out ideas! This is a brainstorming session. Any ideas are welcome.

Same here. I've only just started actually reading the LOTR books (not counting an abandoned attempt when I was 8) and so far, I've found that the Hobbit is a lot easier, or maybe clearer, to read than the rest of the books. I see what you mean. Personally, I don't see quite as much of a difference between licensed and non-licensed sets. I remember that there are still some real doozies out there price-wise for other sets. However, if the Amazon prices are what Lego will be charging, then I'll have to believe you. At any rate, it would probably give us some new parts that might end up drifting into the Castle theme- if the two could manage to co-exist.

I prefer to listen to my music from 'real' speakers- i.e., something that's not jammed into your eardrum. Radio mostly, but occasionally computer when I'm online or doing homework. However, I will listen to an ipod when I have to, because even if they are a pain sometimes, they sure can be convenient.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Corvus replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Oh, I don't know.... I can't say I'm quite ready for the pacifistic Mandos just yet. A Mando without armor? How....wrong. Just wrong. -
Happy anniversary, you two! I hope there are plenty more still to go!

Er....What trench? There is no trench. There is, however, a white plate that the imperial officer (we don't really know it's Veers, do we?), as well as a 'rocket launcher' for a trooper.

Interesting. Actually, I like it- especially the doors. Maybe you don't like it, but that's how the doors work, by sticking out the back, and I think that's one of the things that give it it's iconic look.

Not personally, but I work at a museum that has snakes for interpreting with. I was standing next to somebody who it did happen to, and it wasn't fun. I do like snakes, though. They're fun to hold, but I'm not sure about them as pets. They're not quite as snuggly and warm as a dog, cat, or bird is.

So, it looks like the mold wasn't wasted after all...

REVIEW: Atlantis 8060 Typhoon Turbo Sub
Corvus replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Ooh. I like the set, but it still seems a little too technic-y for my tastes. However, the others all seem to be a little bit more filled out. -
Ugh, non-venemous snake bites still hurt a lot. They have a lot of teeth, and they're all pointed inwards. That's always fun to get off the arm.

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
Corvus replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It's nothing new. She's even more busty in the original CW cartoon. (But then again, she seemed older then, 20-ish) So did I. I hope we won't see too much of it. It was good as a novelty, but I'm not sure I could stand seeing an entire wave of zombie SW stuff. -
That is a negative. I am unable to deduce much from what 'evidence' and fingerpointing we have, although Florentzia does seem rather upset about it.
-
Hopefully this is Amazon pre-order pricing. If this is their final price, TLC is going to see some sales dropping. ARC-bashing aside ( ) I think KimT mentioned that we will indeed get Cad Bane. As to what set he's in, I have no idea.

Well, there was. This: What did you do today? It was closed because it ended up as a spamfest because people posted very boring, everyday, trivial stuff. So... I suppose it could stay open. But please people- be interesting. Respond to other people's posts! Make it a discussion, not Twitter. Second, mind if I fix the title? Mostly for spelling, but it could also be changed to something like "Anything interesting happen to you today?" What did I do today that was interesting? Well, I attended my friend's Eagle Scout ceremony- I suppose that's signifigant. It was a hilarious ceremony, because everyone-including his scoutmaster and parents- joke that he is 'evil.' Maybe not evil, but certainly devious. Ugh. I've never broken a bone, but I have had to wear a wrap for a bit, and that was bad enough. What did you do?

I find it funny that they went to the trouble of adding the 'commander' spots on the rocket droid. They'd have been so much more useable on a standard battle droid.. but oh well. And there's the best reasoning for ROTS. Thanks- I honestly didn't think about the helmets. However, with the CW being what it is, and the way it's been trampling over a lot of timeline and other things, I can't really say. Either way, it's nice to get the helmet. I knew of one.... But not of Bariss. Sweet. Still, I think I would have preferred a newer clone design, like Bly, because clone helmets are so much harder to apply printing onto than just a head.

Exactly. I know you guys want PT, but why? Non-creepy faces? Ep. III troopers?
