  1. I don't know, being able to read only one comment at a time might make people actually have to read them, especially in the news topics.
  2. Okay, I saw the new episode, and... well, meh. I was glad we got to see Coruscant's lower levels, but the the episode as a whole was so-so. I was dissapointed in the thief- I was really expecting her to be some sort of creepy assassin. The old Jedi guy was all right, but I didn't like the design of his head- especially his mouth. It just seemed incomplete. I also didn't like the action in this one. It didn't seem very lifelike. From the species of the thief (something-somethingjumper) that must mean she was fairly athletic, or something. Also, the old guy hits her with his cane and she goes flying 30 feet- what? I also saw the Mandalorian preview. I'm mixed... Supposedly we see Death Watch. However, I thought the Death Watch was wiped out before the CW. Ah well, at least we get some real Mandalorians....and some not-so-Mandalorians.
  3. I'm more of a funnies person. I read them each morning over a bowl of cereal. My favorite is Calvin and Hobbes, but unfortunately, my paper doesn't run it. As for webcomics, I only read one so far- xkcd.
  4. While I doubt that this will ever happen, I know I'd love it too. That's an even more obscure rumor. Yes, the license ends. But in the middle of the Clone Wars, and with a live action series coming up? Lego is going to revive it. Nah. They are generic minifigs- but Mandos. I'm sure kids would want buckets of them.
  5. I'm fairly sure Aayla will have a headpiece, not a single mold. It's worked for Ahsoka, it's worked for Bib. Hopefully the figs will show up at Toy Fair, whenever that is. We still have bigger pics of Grievous, Cad Bane, Bossk, and Boba to see. From the small pic we've seen of him, he looks very... ivory-colored. Hopefully Lego won't pack too much detail into him- too much texture to figs has always been something that bothered me about MB figs. Okay, first off, calm down. Second, type better. Or slower.
  6. Dang, the new stuff is amazing. I saw the Atlantis special, too. It was great, except for the last bit where they escape the sharks- "They can sense movement! They're blind!" Sharks can see fine, and with the part about movement- even if you stood still, they could sense you. (Animal parts in movies/TV always bug me. )
  7. Ditto- instant background!
  8. I'm going to go ahead and move this to the Pirate forum- I'm sure you'll get more help there. (They're pretty obsessive like that. ) Moved to the Pirate MOCs forum- hopefully the pirate mods will agree that, as a question on MOCing, it'll go here.
  9. That is hard. Minifigs tend to be the central object of attention in a MOC, so they always have to be perfect. I'm planning to expand my minifig collection with a trip to BL soon. My store of yellow heads is getting depleted, as all I have left are fleshie (which I refuse to use) and the overly-generic faces that I have too many of. Hopefully with TLC making all the neat new heads, my collection will get some fresh air. Crews tend to be the hardest. Anything outside of SW is hard to get a lot of 'figs in. Space Police figs work, but they're not exactly original...
  10. The white/red one is part of an eyeball from a squid in Aquaraiders. The second to left is part of a spiral staircase. EDIT: ah, Ricecracker got it before me. The rubber band holders I've never used, but I have seen some rather strange, yet interesting MOCs made from them.
  11. Black Falcon Fortress, along with one or two other small sets from that time. A gift from my cousin- he has a stash of old lego that he was kind enough to send a few for a birthday gift! Unfortunately I took it apart- in my youthful ignorance I didn't realize what a treasure it was.
  12. And here I've been trying to reduce my post count in the SW forum and branch out a bit.
  13. Originally saw these on Flickr. Good job! I don't know why, but the way the spear is held by the apprentice in the first MOC really sticks out. I like that attention to detail, and it adds a lot more to the MOC than just being clipped into the hand. I've always liked multiple MOCs made to make a story, and yours is no exception!
  14. Always great to see a Spaceballs MOC. Maybe make some mini Spaceball spaceballs, too?
  15. You have a good start here. The glass storefront is a good idea, and I do like the idea of a fountain inside the shop. And I agree with the Smurf- it needs more detail! -Avoid flat surfaces. Take a look on Google (or your preferred choice of search engine) and look up architecture- it might help with ideas for building. -I'd love to see an interior in the shop. A flower/greenery shop has the potential to be eye-catching, vibrant, and detailed on the inside. Instead, you have what appears to be a store that's been foreclosed! -More detail on the roof. A greenery shop would be a good reason to stick a greenhouse or flower garden on top.
  16. I am very grateful to have finally entered the acceptable age group. When I first found the site, I spent a week just reading things. There were a lot of very interesting topics with very intelligent conversations, something I've never had the chance to have with Lego. No one I know likes lego. The only other experience I've had with this was Brickcon last year, and I intend to go again (and actually talk to people!!) I eventually wanted to join and take part, too. When I read the guidelines, though, I saw the age limit and didn't join. Eventually , after a month or so of reading topics like the ones Siegfried mentioned, I went ahead anyway and joined. This was about two years ago, I think. I don't think I was quite as mature as one or two other impressive young posters, and I certainly wasn't nearly as good a builder as them. But, I tried to post intelligently in a forum frequented by adults. I'd like to say I've done well, but there's still some to do, namely branching out into other themes and posting in them, as well as finally coming up with a better, more original name. >.<
  17. I like the Shadow Snapper. I usually don't like the large monsters, but I love the turtle thing. Sort of like a cross between a snapping turtle and a porcupine, though. Seeing as scorpions don't live underwater... I would say you are right. Although, looking at it... it does look like a scorpion.
  18. The red one looks like a fish... but that's all I can tell. I can't see a robot, though.
  19. Are you kidding? We'd love an order 66 mini-theme. But I'll have to disagree about 'little known clones'- judging by all the clone customs and custom items for sale, there's a huge demand for special clones. Besides, Bly was in the CW show twice, as well as the movies. And if he's seen next to Aayla in the CTT? Well, kids will recognize that that's the yellow guy with a skirt and binoculars who shot that blue jedi girl. A little? Speaking of off-topic, would you mind shrinking your sig? It's absolutely massive.
  20. This always bugs me. In the Ep. III book, Obi-Wan is briefed about Grievous and how dangerous he is. I don't like how he's fought him multiple times already. I suppose it is good that they have been careful not to have him an Anakin meet, but that's about it.
  21. I saw the new episodes and: They've been getting so much more cinematic lately- the cartooney characters almost don't fit in anymore. I can't say much about the episodes other than that they were very solid. I liked the inclusion of new ships, as well as two new Jedi. I enjoyed the meeting between Rex and Cut. Cut's story and reasons for deserting were much better than they were in Hidden Enemy. The only thing that might have spoiled the episode for me were the creepy kids. Oh, I don't know, I actually thought they were fairly mediocre.
  22. Ugh. Yes. After getting back from the lego store and seeing the build-a-minifig tables selling the inferior 'figs. Plus, they were $10 for three- it seems like they could afford to use better plastic for that price. Really? Do you know when this happened? This seems like a big issue to have happen, I'm amazed the head of quality person missed it.
  23. Neat! A great getaway vehicle, and very Agents-esque. My favorite bit is the teeth grill.
  24. I'd say: Rookies, Trespass, and Innocents of Ryloth. I wasn't such a big fan of Jedi Crash, but hey, everyone has their favorites.
  25. The episode preview is now up on Starwars.com. It seemed good, but I have a gripe- Grievous cut through a Magnaguard staff. I thought they were lightsaber-proof. Plus, Grievous still has only two fingers.
