  1. You’ve been awarded (9) points. Judges’ comments… So the first thing that caught my eye here is design for the bunker in the ground. Pretty sure you're using a SNOT style to achieve the shapes you got. I sat there and looked at it for a few minutes saying "Hmm okay he did this and that...." That's what its about, interesting different takes on techniques. Very nicely done. Plemty of bits of detail throughout the build. The only complaint if I had any with this build would have been for a little more fighting. So much detail in such a confined space! That first shot you used just pulls me in, with the weeds in the background...awesome! Watch your background, The wall seam pops out in a few of the shots. I actually want to get a hold of this, slide that giant door open and see what's underneath! Great build Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  2. You’ve been awarded ( 10 ) points and you have won the competition! Due to achieving a 10 point score, you will also receive a bonus of 4 points! Be sure to contact me with your address so we can send you your prize! Judges’ comments… This build takes the win for me. Everything looks so perfect and planned here. The barricades outside and the detailing to show the shattered glass was brilliant. Even inside, the door ways and the little containers. Lighting and picture perspective is phenomenal and really help the build shine. Very Very Nicely Done! I'm going to keep this simple because there isn't much for me to say. Solid build, great details, plenty of debris, plenty of build, great lighting, dark back drop REALLY made the build pop out to me. This is your best entry yet, way to go! Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  3. You’ve been awarded (6) points. Judges’ comments… This was a decent build and had a good story to it. The missile cart and the landscaping were a little bit plain and lacking detail. Some subtle variations in the landscaping would have gone a long way. The railway was nicely done but seemed very very similar to something someone else did recently. Nice work. I'm going to be blunt, so please don't take this the wrong way; not trying to be mean, just stating some facts...This is a modern combat building game. So ideally, we really don't want to see members/players using historical armor, namely Shogun warriors. That being said, other use Star Wars Rebel armor so the armor concern can be overlooked. However, the weapons are a detail conceen. M41 pulse rifles are scifi, I also see HALO rifles in there as well. We want you to get away from those as they are not something that is used in this game. If you don't have them or cannot afford them, that's ok, feel free tio use standard LEGO weapons as those are ok as an acceptable substitution. No points will be docked for this, but it's something we as the staff will be watching for in the future. As for your build, the idea is good but feels a bit too simple for you. The tower is bland. The terrain is flat with a few plants. The tracks are just placed on a cement riser, which would be ok, but everything else is pretty much in the same category. You are a good builder and you have shown us before, I just feel that this was pumped out as fast as possible. I may be wrong, but that's the sense I get when I see this. Presentation wise, keep away from corners as that totally stands out in your build, along with the detail on the ledge in your first pic. Do not have anything in your pic that will draw away from your build, unless it in some way adds to the build. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  4. Extremely jealous of the gold stack haha.
  5. You have passed your mission. Congratulations! Judge Feedback: This was nicely done. You had detail in some areas but lacked it in some others that looked a little bit dry (the road/alley and main places people were standing). I might have maybe sized this down a bit in favor of more detail instead of openness. You captured the essence of the build though and definitely painted a nice picture. Keep in mind, we've seen what you can really do and prizes like this come at a price. You get a pass from me though. Maybe a bit too large, some spaces were a little low on detail when compared to others, but overall, well done! Please contact me when you would like to use your prize!
  6. You have passed your mission. Congratulations! Judge Feedback: I liked what you did with the building but you sacrificed detail and structuring for the sake of portioning out the interior and the exterior spacing. It might have been wiser to only focus on the inside of the building using perspectives. Lighting was not that great for the interior shots. This does not take away from what you've done here, you definitely gave it a very solid effort and that should not be frowned at. Your building looks great and there is nice detail in some areas. The pictures have a nice setup just need a little better lighting. This one is a pass for me but it was on the line. Nice work. Long sequence here, but plenty of pics. I think the greenish hue on the exterior shots is great. But once inside the house, the pics become very difficult to see ANYTHING! I like your plan, to raid the house at night. But not being able to see all of the sweet details makes this very frustrating. But, it honestly looks like you tried to cram as many details as possible into this build, as well as any and all bricks you had. That tells me you gave it your all. Please contact me when you would like to use your prize!
  7. You have failed your mission. Shortly after the attempted extract, your team was overwhelmed by a small convoy of Servants of Freedom Fighters following closely behind. He lives on to fight another day. Judge Feedback: These builds require a large amount of detail to pass. This one just doesn't cut it for me. You could have added a lot of other things to spruce this up. Make the landrover much more articulated, vary the terrain (which the judges have continually asked you to look into doing), and just work on the surroundings. This would not have been a bad side build, but this is a higher level than that. Sorry, but this one doesn't pass for me. I think if you cut the build in half and focused on more of the details, then it would have gone through as a pass. What kind of details...? Worn roads, normal cows, NOT THE REPEATED SAME TERRAIN BUT IN DIFFERENT COLORS, a couple of trees to adjust the display's height which doesn't rely on the telephone polls, ditch off the side of the road, litter... These contract missions have some great rewards, but they are therefore graded with the highest attention to detail.
  8. You’ve been awarded (2) points. Judges’ comments… You gained some points with your detailing on the floor, which was nicely executed. By and large though this build is a little bit bland due to the lack of size. I thought the creativity behind this build was great. I feel a larger, overall pic would have been great to see ALL of the details within your build though. The rug, window, and other builds looked great, but again, an overall shot would have been better. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  9. You’ve been awarded (1) points. Judges’ comments… This build really does not fit here, especially as a troop buildup. Something like this would have been better covered under a media build. Really not much more to this than minifigs standing on some random terrain so not much to judge. First off, get a back drop and use light for your pics. As far along as we are in this, these little fixes cannot be overlooked. No one here wants to see the tile in your house, but they do want to see a well lit display. Strange how a massive missile launch, terror everywhere, and your teams are playing games. I get bonding, but this just feels out of place. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  10. You’ve been awarded (2) points. Judges’ comments… The concept you are presenting here is certainly unique. I would have perhaps scaled this build down in favor of more detail. It felt like you hurried it together but it had potential. Reminded me of the last scene of John Wick for some reason. I don't really see what's going on here. There are too many players, too many sides, multiple locations, and this is just a sidebuild And not really a support sidebuild at that. Again, backdrops are great things, not tile floors. Also, be sure to clean up your baseplates, otherwise build over the ink lines. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  11. You’ve been awarded ( 2) points. Judges’ comments… This build felt very recycled to me and didn't make much sense as they would not be providing relief at the same time they are about to wage a battle here. The tent/bunker was the same thing used in your Campaign 5 build. You're capable of better than this. Slow down and build something that's going to really earn you points. Once again, the same old version of terrain is used At this point in the game, I would think you would want to change it up...but you don't. The troops present and little to no civilians didnt feel right to me. I feel if a relief camp was set up, this close to a potentially massive battle, then it should be flooded with displaced and wounded persons. Be Sure to Update Your AARs. Thanks for playing!
  12. This is great feedback. Thank you.
  13. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/161164-making-eurobricks-more-active/&page=6
  14. Yeah, that's kinda pushing it haha. But consider the real world; there are a lot of countries right now that are using 70s weaponry and technology as that is all that they can afford. So it's not too far off if someone wanted their country modeled in that manner. This is one of my biggest problems. I've had a lot of conversations with talented builders on Flickr. Getting them here has proven to be difficult for (2) reasons: 1. They want to build what they want to build. They don't want to be told "Okay this month you're attacking this". Which I understand so trying to find that middle ground has proven to be difficult and that is why we're introducing a lot of the new things we are doing lately to try and provide a little more freedom. 2. A lot of people hate Eurobricks. It has a bad reputation of being an elitest harboring site that puts down inexperienced builders instead of trying to build them up. There is actually a topic about it on the site where I have shared my opinion on the matter (and I would encourage you to do the same if you have issues). No matter how much I try and explain to some people that what we do is different in here, they have that bad taste in their mouth already. This one is out of my control. I'd imagine this is part of that as well. We may rework this a bit if we do decide to do round 2. We would most likely not restrict existing players.
  15. No, it would be a different map more drawn to suit our game. I'd say we'd likely keep the same country names in the interest of not confusing anyone but the map would be totally different. The alliances are currently part of the problem I see in moving things forward.
  16. I want to open the floor up to discussion here. In trying to keep the game exciting and interesting while also staying true to our main purpose of making better builders and having fun, we have implemented a lot of changes in the passed (2) Months. We have a few other ideas up our sleeves which may be very productive as well but first wanted to throw out an idea to the playerbase. In an effort to try and keep the game from going stale, I have pondered the idea of essentially bringing this "version" of the game to a conclusion and reintroducing the game for a new round at a later time. The new round of the game would feature a redesigned map and country structure that would bring the game closer to the scale we are in now. It would rely a lot more heavily on the land based geography of the map and so on. Of course this would also mean an end to the current alliances but would also allow new alliances to be created and players to start out playing for themselves as opposed to in a group. There is a lot we can do with this. This would require a lot of planning on our part and before we put the time in making it happen, I wanted to put a feeler out there for all of you to provide some feedback on this idea moving forward. This is obviously not something that will happen right away and we have more campaign ideas lined up. We will of course address the issue of carrying over points and things like that as well. Please discuss.
  17. A little less than 2 weeks to go.
  18. In terms of the (3) Sites for this campaign, yes.
  19. At this point radiation clouds with nuclear fallout and buildings largely in rubble and ruin.

  21. There has been some talk about confusion of all the mission types and what people can do. I've slapped together a quick list for all of you. Any questions, comments, concerns - discuss here. Types of Missions: Monthly Campaign Side Missions: - Supporting the war effort- Players can depict scenes from their country where people are doing things to aid the war effort. Everything from military training to factory production of goods is fair game. - Sabotage- Players can build scenes showing local resistance sabotaging the war effort of their enemies domestically. This is not a SPECOPS mission so there should be NO High Speed Tier 1 NVG guys running around with tricked out guns and Semtex. These are underground resistance fighters that your country might be arming or supporting. This is your build, but you're building in someone else's country. Don't build something that you would hate to see done to your country. - Media- Players can build scenes showing the media covering outside events that are going on to enhance the game. - Troop Build Up / Movement- In order to move large concentrations of troops to other regions for the next campaign, players can build scenes showing their forces moving into a new position. (Air or naval travel to a friendly a nation, ground movement along main roadways through allied nations). - Reconnaissance- Players can depict their armies or resistance conducting RECON of their enemies. Everything ranging from field positions to manufacturing plants is fair game. (These can be unlocked when your character achieves level 21.) - Lord of War- Players show their country acquiring new vehicles, guns, or other weaponry from an arms manufacturer or trafficker. It is important to note, this build is not just to show off something you have purchased or a specific vehicle you have made. You must build an environment, develop a story, have something to do with a manufacturer or trafficker. Players who just put things on display with these builds will not score well. - Escort and Patrol- Players are to make builds showing their forces either A. Escorting someone or something of a level of importance or B. Patrolling an area currently under their control. Obviously combat is acceptable in a build like this, but 1. It Is Not Required and 2. Should not be a whole large scale battle. FRAGO Missions- Randomly distributed by the Staff SPECOPS Missions- Custom Tailored by the Staff for players who have achieved the proper rank and request one. Solo Campaign- Custom Tailored Story Line from the staff for any player that purchases one. Contract Missions- Players work to complete a list of targets monthly- does not affect side build count.
  22. I would ask that this be kept to a minimum. If you wanna show people with radiation problems fine but this is still a realistic game. No mutants.... Yet...
