  1. U have me confused now! Are u talking about the steering mod or the XL motor in the drive train?
  2. It shows u in the link above how to connect the motor, watch the YouTube clip,it fits perfect in the chassis,no clutch gear for the driving as its not needed, u just need to change ur gears in the portal axles, this is also in the video.its a very easy mod!
  3. This looks like the best idea so far well done Allan, do ye really think Lego will make longer ones as we are years hoping now :( come on Lego do it :) personally I think we have seen the last of pneumatics for a few more years like they did before, also there quiet expensive if they have to recall pneumatic parts too!
  4. Yes steering mod with clutch works well so I used the same, standard remote works well with steering mod,see below! http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=IE#/watch?v=ostV2nnzJ3Q
  5. Here u go :) this is the best way we all used!easy to install too. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=IE#/watch?v=NQIBRyDFwcY
  6. Nice idea Allen but the pin/axle hole in the middle takes the look off the ram and u dont see this in real life ether, For someone big into pneumatics I'm very surprised also that u can wait till Xmas to build ur unimog ha
  7. He is actually using 1 xl for driving , 1 xl for steering and m motor for winch , he just replayed on YouTube to me, he has a rear locked diff also, I'm just wondering has he installed the motor for drive in the centre like lots of us did,he seems to have better power tho :(
  8. Very nice well done sheepo!
  9. No problem,iv a new airtank myself that I might try on the unimog but I don't really think its needed,it would be more needed on the likes of 8455 that has a lot of cylinders and a hand pump!
  10. Does anyone know this guy , him mog is very good on off road and he is only using 1 xl motor like the rest of us but he seems to have more power! http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=IE#/watch?v=niHPoHXFgs4
  11. Ur rite them black rims are getting rare on brick link , I'm glad I got mine a few months back.
  12. I'm not sure it needs one ether, with the new pump it works quiet well and very realistic , but with a tank u build to much pressure and it's not very controllable then.
  13. I think we do need longer but also not too long or the will be useless in some models , I was thinking 5-6 stood long would be great!
  14. Some great information there thank u :) I never knew even the real mogs used portal axles too :) well done again to Lego for getting this so rite!
  15. We need a tread like this for longer pneumatics :)
  16. I waited last year but not this year,I have my mog built 3 months now lol looks like my Xmas present will be 8070 :)
  17. I taught u would have 8110 by now :)
  18. I'm still thinking of buying this set :)
  19. Has anyone tryed to make the rear outriggers pneumatic yet? Also has anyone built the gritter, any good?
  20. I do agree,we need some real life unimog u400 attachment s for some inspiration, there has to be more than front mowers and plows, anyone any ideas or pics!
  21. Very nice trailer, would look well behind 8258 and even better with 8043 on the bed :)
  22. Why bother?8466 wheels are so much better, will 8466 wheels fit the unimog?im still looking for a set but there so darn expensive!
