    Why do people think 8880 is so great,I'm just curious because super cars never have very interesting functions but u here lots going on about 8880!

    Iv built up my collection of flagships the last year and iv got all the good ones,my question is what is the best of the best that I'm missing? Currently I have the following! 8043 8258 8868 8455 8421 8110 8436 8265 I think that's it,it's also a lot of money to spend in a year as even the older ones were misb :) So what's the best of the best I'm missing?im not liking 8275 Or 8285 tho but opinions on these too!what about 8880 or 8466?

    Anyone know why iv so many part s left over or can anyone remember building this set new?i can't figure it out!

    Iv a fair few a bits left,I can't see that I went wrong anywhere its strange,iv got 1x13 black/1x15 light grey/1x9 dark grey/1x5 light grey/1x4 L arm grey and other small bits too :( When I built the main truck I had no parts left so these are all from the bags from the crane part!

    Just figured it out and u were rite that's all that was wrong thanks. I also have a few spare parts even a few lift arms,are these for the b model?

    Iv finished this model but I have one issue,when I'm extending the crane the rope with hook is winding in the way if u get me,is it not ment to work in sink where when u let the boom in or out the rope is ment to follow cause mine seams to be the reverse to that? Edit,fixed,rope was wound the wrong way :)

    Well I have both and I'm only half way through building 8421 which I got off my wife for Christmas,it cost €275 misb but I only like new sets,iv a feeling so far that 8421 is much better.

    Have a look through the 8110 mocs tread there's a great idea for making this rc and it's easy too place the XL motor too,there is also a separate post for the steering using an m motor and clutch gear :)

    I'm nearly have way through 8421 and it's great so far,I alway taught this set had motorised outriggers tho but I was wrong ;( can't wait to finish it tomorrow :)

    This is a great model so no cons at all that I can see,the pneumatics works flawless too,u need to get used to controlling the switches and that's all in the fun of it,the crane is very realistic, There's a mod for a sharper turning circle just pull the 4 stopper on the chassis ,also the rotation of the crane is ment to be slow like the real thing. I hate seeing people give out about such a great model,this sets ranks in the top 5 of all time.

    All these problems ye are having,are ye building this right at all? There's a mod for the steering to make it easier on the 8110 mods tread.

    I got 8436 for Xmas too,just because it has pneumatics ;(

    Any more news on these sets,this time last year we knew more about 2h sets :)

    I knew u would like it,I just hope Lego continues doing models like this,it's an engineering marvel I think,but the sets for 2012 don't look very promising, I'm really dissapointed the log loader in march doesn't have pneumatics :( maybe ill still buy it and convert to pneumatics tho :) I'm just looking at my 8421 new that I got for Xmas so can't wait to build it.

    Get 8258 as its getting hard to get,then get 8043

    Yes I got 8421 & 8436 both misb :) 8421 looks huge :)

    I wonder is Lego actually calling it a rock crawler or is this something that was just made up?

    I really think the rock crawler is not going to sell as much as previous flagships but I could be wrong,I wonder how is the unimog sales going!
