  1. I was looking for that element and I thought I just don't know where to look... then I realise it is NEW!
  2. I don't know what's the meaning of "flopped" in the movie industry anymore.... because making gross sales of almost twice the budget looks like a success to me, even though it's not a blockbuster movie like its predecessors.
  3. Really? I have never made this comparison but I always thought Ninjago sets always give a higher value not just on the number parts, but also the volume/weight ratio vs price. I am warming up to the new ninja suit designs. Of all the new ones, I like Jay the best. Also... I don't like that Cole has to be sleeveless all the time now. He is adding more orange onto his repertoire of colours now... I don't know why.
  4. I wanted this set for the rickshaw too, more than the Piranha mech. I forgot to mention that like in majority of my reviews, I do not apply stickers. It looks decent without the stickers but I would likely apply it to add more detail.
  5. Thanks @WhiteFang -- I know you're busy so it's fine if this didn't go on the frontpage sooner. I don't even mind if it didn't, so.... cheers! I know right. Next to the crab mech from Lightning Jet set, this is the most wacky little mech. There is a technique in manufacturing called Six Sigma (6σ) which aims to eliminate defect... I believe any manufacturing at the scale of LEGO production use this in some way or variation. That's why I believe this should have been prevented to be released if the LEGO Quality Assurance aims at consistent high quality product. Having said that, it's still a neat set like what you said. Rickshaw and Piranha saves the day!
  6. Thanks for the review. Is that mech permanently squatting?
  7. I think there are stranger things they can come up with.... but it's possible they could have collective consciousness like the alien xenomorphs and demogorgon-dogs.
  8. bagpiper gorilla suit guy banana suit guy evil knight pretzel girl fly monster.
  9. True indeed. I different henchmen could have been better.
  10. Baby... Son of Garmadon?
  11. Only this so far? Is it just this one as advertised in the LEGO calendar?
  12. I don't like the suit because they look like baby-wears especially for Kai and Nya. If you don't know what I am talking about, Google babywearing. I do baby-wear myself but seeing this kind of "ninja" suit with kinda looks silly to me, style-wise. (They kinda rip-off Rey's Star Wars fashion, too)
  13. I'll definitely join this year... I don't know why or how I missed the last few years.
  14. Thanks! :) The rickshaw reminds me of the old Singapore & Penang times.
  15. I always use one of the website reported to confirm rumours and while the website says it is existing, it is not listed under "Minifigure" category. Besides the set number is a dead giveaway that it is just a promotional polybag.
  16. I remember 75100 is basically just a landspeeder that flies over snow, which makes it a Snowspeeder. Now we get 75204, which is a Snowspeeder that flies over sand, making it a Sandspeeder? Who names these things!
  17. But the skunk is already made in CFM series 15 Animal Control Officer so maybe it's just a new print of that same skunk mould?
  18. So much eye candy. Keep up the good work!
  19. Does it matter what kind of washing soap?
  20. :dhappy: :dhappy: :dhappy: :poke:Look here look here! If you're reading this, do let me know what you think about this set. :sweet:

  21. With all the re-release of old sets and whatnot, what if the 17th minifig in Series 18 is the re-release of Mr Gold but this time each in every box instead of ridiculously limited number? I've been thinking about this since TLG did the Lester stunt. Is it possible they did it to gather sentiment about re-releasing limited release minifigure such as Mr. Gold?
  22. Thanks. Face printing aside, I really like the set. The design for the piranha mech is simple and like what you said, wacky. The wackiness is probably the best reason to buy the set so it will serve kids a lot of playtime.
  23. I know right. Unfortunately I may need to call them via support hotline because they acknowledged my disappointed on their first reply but in another email they rejected the order for my parts replacement. It's funny and ridiculous at the same time. I think TLG has been testing early release for Asian markets to counter-attack bootlegs, very much like why we see early cinema release of movies here. Most recent example is The Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive that is released in Hong Kong 1 month earlier than the rest of the world. Now they're doing the same with TLNM wave 2 early release but in MY/SG. There's obviously a reason for an early release here but taking hints on what the movie industry is doing, the reason movies are released outside the US first is to build anticipation and to assess the reception internationally. In TLG's case that "focus group" markets are Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. Take note that US market growth is quite flat recently so TLG is going to need more signals so they could assess how much they need to sell on markets like US and EU as part of their demand planning. Therefore, if you have an early signal from Asia and more data from AU/NZ (with their market analytics) then EU/US should have more data to consider for holiday demands. But that's a just theory, a LEGO theory.
