    UK Lego Shop@Home has the new sets available to buy except the new A-Wing - so I ordered the new Y-wing and Luke's Speeder (plus A-wing pilot freebie) without any issues (so far anyway!). If you click on the new A-wing it causes a page error I notice.

    I also want it - but can't justify that price - I picked up three of the last stand-alone A-Wing sets for £20 (to colour swap with the standard set), so I guess this will be a case of wait and see if they go down in price 12 months down the line....

    Ah interesting - please share how you get on - could be the way to go. Real brick version done - need to shape the wedges but Ill fix that once they are on the engine - First one on - Ill tidy the shape once the second one is built.

    I'm playing around with this for my UCS Clone Wars Y-wing and if I can get it sorted in real bricks Ill see if it can be added to the stock Y-wing. The spiral tubes are proving less than co-operative in real life to curve nicely - might try 3mm hose instead.

    Looks good - I may try a dark red version. For your canopy you can always steal one from the regular size Y-wing or T47 snowspeeder with the grey covering 30372p79 - I tried that and it looks cool. Although if you got red stickers that would probably work a treat on your build.

    Awesome - can't wait to add this version to its older LiLme brother... Yup for some reason the Brickshelf folder is marked as private - I tried logging into Brickshelf to see if that made any difference but it seems not...

    Yup the A-Wing is excellent - I think I went in about £270 but I did get the wheels in red and also over ordered the red cylinders (which I subsequently used in my Clone Y-wing UCS MOC....) . DItto the ebay stickers from Aus - they are excellent quality. Update - sorry on the paint question - I used 'Wine Red' Plasti-Kote spray in satin on my A-Wing - it worked great with a single undercoat

    Looking good. I notice for the engine struts you have gone without the hose tubes on the technic axle - has that helped with drooping? your engines look straight and level on the pics?

    Super job and thanks G_M for the file - this is a fantastic build and it looks great! I can see the weekend ahead will be digging out the parts I have and then hitting BL hard... A lovely ship like this is never going to be cheap - but its worth it.

    I like the idea of the plate with rail - that could work nicely.

    Look forward to the pics of the mods - for the starter MOCer like myself this is such an amazing build and is so inspiring...if you are happy to share the LDD/instructions etc I would certainly commit not to share.
