  1. Nice!! I like it a lot! (From the title I was expecting another braiding machine ) I too would be curious to see how this idea could be developed further...
  2. Sadly, LEGO is an expensive hobby. You might want to check out the used market (e.g. Ebay) for previous versions of Mindstorms, e.g. NXT, which tend to be much cheaper.
  3. Very nice engines. But I would look for a way to reinforce the area around the switch in the V4. It looks very weak there - you can see how much it is flexing. And that means reduced efficiency and perhaps part failures...
  4. Well done indeed! Cheers to the skill and persistence of the team. Honestly I was not really expecting that it would ever be solved. Very happy to be wrong!
  5. Not quite - I am missing a few, but I was surprised how few. Mold variations... NOOOOO!!!!! Please don't give me such ideas!
  6. Interesting B model (and thanks as always for excellent reviews!). I assume the wind turbine is intended to represent a fixed (not floating) offshore turbine. I don't think a floating one would work very well! I'm also curious if someone can comment on whether the attachment of the "push boat" to the barge is realistic? I have seen plenty of tug boats pulling barges (by a rope), and sometimes pushing them, but I have not seen a system like this.
  7. And I thought my interests were esoteric...
  8. By the way, the red 12t bevel has come back this year...
  9. I also have an unhealthy fascination with gears of unusual colours, although as you can see I am trying to kick the habit:
  10. Very interesting module! I especially like the release mechanism. Why do two of the 3L pins of the release mechanism have a small gray wheel, and the other two not?
  11. That's fantastic! The Akiyuki inspiration definitely shows in the clean beauty of the model.
  12. I don't think they have been released in N America yet. This has happened several times in the past - some of the 1H sets have been delayed until about March.
  13. Bricklink also has a database of this information: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogRelList.asp?relID=3&catID=111 But more data is of course always good!
  14. This is an awesome idea, and fantastic progress so far! I would definitely buy the set to build this... TLG should be paying you to do this
  15. I strongly support this suggestion!
  16. Yup, similar problems here, I'm sorry to say. Refresh button works eventually, but sometimes slow. Also going back to the main forum page from a thread is sometimes incredibly slow (30 seconds or more).
  17. Nothing wrong with this MOC at all! Thanks for sharing, and keep on building!
  18. I made a few of these (consciously, before you ask...). Here are two versions of 1-2-2-3 (which looks as if it might be particularly useful, although I don't know for what). Here are 2-3-6-7, 1-4-8-9, and 4-4-7-9: Finally, just as in the two-dimensional case (see topic "a perfect fit"), even when the diagonal is not an integer length, we can still get some interesting angles by making the same diagonal in two different ways. Here it is the diagonal of a 2-2-4 box:
  19. That's a very nice and unusual GBC. Perhaps it could be developed into a whole Yellow Submarine themed loop...
  20. Congratulations on the commission! It's an awesome model - the attention is richly deserved.
  21. These look quite brilliant! Can you make some videos?
  22. I have put some photos here: http://www.bricksafe.com/pages/aeh/bell-ringing-machine Let me know if anything is unclear...
