    I watched The Devil's Own. Pretty good movie, with Brad Pitt as an anti-hero. Harrison Ford had me thinking he was a good guy the whole movie.

    For the record, I may have called Nexo Knights a failure, but I never called it a complete flop.

    Unfortunately, I listed Dimensions packs on my Christmas list. This means that I was unable to really take advantage of great discounts because I might get duplicates. How silly, I would have enjoyed duplicates. Fortunately, I did get 2 packs for Christmas, the Excalibur Batman and Beetlejuice packs. There are still a bunch that I'm interested in getting, though I do collect mostly for the minifigures rather than the game. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the game, and I put it down for a while so I still have yet to complete it. I just enjoy the minifigures more. I need to get some of these before they're gone.

    It's really cool to see all of these great layouts! I never had a place to keep my LEGO on display, and had to tear it down after every build during the 80s and 90s. Also, look at all of those old Castle sets! So awesome.

    I would also like to see these types of features. And you're right, they have been including them more often. That's a positive that I hope will continue through the next Castle theme. Also, in the Castle from the 2013 line, remember that they barely had a throne room. It was a small room in the tower with only a throne in it, and no room for anything else. It was also primarily made up of wall panels rather than bricks. So even elements like this could use more attention. The Kingdoms Joust, on the other hand, included a couple of small livable spaces and was made up of mostly bricks, so it has that advantage. I would say it has a better overall color scheme as well. It's refreshing to hear that LEGO designers are keen to make Castle sets. I hope that they do. And I hope that their excitement for the theme helps them to produce one that is of good quality.

    I would appreciate if LEGO released a large "Creator Expert" type Castle set as well. Unlicensed. They have released the Disney Castle, and are theoretically going to release a Hogwarts Castle, but neither of those fit the bill.

    Go earlier than the 1400s by 500 - 1000 years to medieval times and yes, I buy. I buy a lot. I hope the villain designs would be better, though. Year 1 had the best designs, but I still didn't like many named characters. Ash Attacker, Flama, and Moltor were the best, and only the Stone Stomper appealed to me from Year 2. Take color cues from Kingdoms, Fantasy Era, and Tolkien themes as well. Cut down on bright colors and odd combinations. Also, cut down on vehicles and siege engines, even from the normal Castle theme. But yes, I buy.

    I feel that if they did this, produce a set based on n existing castle, it wouldn't be a Castle set. It would be an Architecture set.

    1) I would expect that they started to work on the next Castle (or whatever it is that will be coming) before the end of 2017. They have likely known for months that Nexo Knights was not going to continue beyond the first 2018 wave. As such, by the time 2019 rolls around, they should have over a year from scratch to shelves. 2) I think the target audience will also appreciate a well thought out and well done theme. And hopefully they target the age range of the Tolkien sets, many of which were recommended for ages 8, 9, or 10 to 14+. Most sets in that range will appeal to young children as well as AFOLs like us. Adding in a large D2C set would be icing on the cake.

    Wow, these are really fantastic. I'm reminded of one of my favorite computer games from childhood: Quest for Glory 4. There are so many little details, from the minifigures (tambourine), to the cart design (flowers), and the baggage up top. I also love the overall design of the minifigures as well as the carriages themselves, and I'm glad you didn't just put the CMF Gypsy in this layout. I can see myself returning to this for inspiration when designing my own carriages, and LEGO should take note because if they were to do something like this for their Castle line, I doubt people would hate on them for releasing yet another carriage. This is a very fresh and new idea. This is just wonderful!

    Wouldn't it be more appropriate to use a white slope for Leia's bottom half in that white dress?

    We would, of course, have to take into consideration the overall quality and appeal of the theme and sets themselves. Remember, there were many people who weren't all that excited about Castle 2013 and considered it to be lesser than other Castle themes. If we were to get something like that again, I can almost assure you that the sales figures will not be optimal.
