  1. I wanted to give 6918 Blacksmith Attack a vote because it's great for a smaller set. The Knight's Kingdom Chrome Series is really cool, and makes me think of last year's Infinity Gems with the collection aspect, but I was never a big fan of the Bull faction. 6098 King Leo's Castle is a great looking set at first. I love the old raised baseplates, but it felt a little lacking. The castle is mostly built of large panels and feels rather sparse. In the end my vote went to 10039 Black Falcon's Fortress. It's a fantastic build for its time. I'm also a fan of the Black Falcons, and hope to see them return again. Not all castles need to be huge, and this set proves that by displaying a nice castle at a smaller size. It's a little panel heavy as well, but looks more well constructed and solid.
  2. There are a few great creatures coming soon in the Harry Potter and Jurassic World themes. Pictures have leaked of the following: There is a glitter trans light blue stag patronus. It has the back cutout, which would allow minifigures to ride. The head and neck do not move (likely due to the logistics of trans / trans plastic connections). There is Buckbeak, a light grey hippogriff with some printing on the head depicting feathers, a darker beak, and yellow eyes. No idea what the wings will look like yet. There is also the white wolf with 2 tails and red printing on the face. I believe this is from Ninjago. There is a new Triceratops in green with brown stripe printing all over. The set also comes with many small dinosaur eggs. There is a new dilophosaurus in green and brown / orange. There is a baryonyx in sand blue with blue pattern printing on its back and face. This set comes with a dog that is a recolored husky. There is a new tyrannosaurus rex in tan and grey with brown stripe printing on its back. This set also has 4 baby raptors in varying colors. It's hard to tell the exact colors, but this is a basic description. All of these creatures could be great in fantasy Castle builds. I'm most excited about the stag. Even this version could be used well in fantasy builds. I'll likely use it as a crystalline or ice stag. What I really hope is that this mold will be used as a real stag in a future set. It would be a perfect Forestmen mount.
  3. The Stag looks fantastic in glitter trans light blue. Buckbeak looks great as well. Looking forward to those ones!
  4. I guess I missed a round when I was moving last week. I'm voting for Wolfpack's Tower this round.
  5. While I agree that there should be something more, I always feel that siege engines take too much away from the Castle build itself. I'd rather see things like breakaway walls and floors, functional portcullis or gate, and other such features. And the molded dragons, yes, please! I'd love to see LEGO expand upon the current selection like they have with the raptors and tyrannosaurs in the Jurassic themes. More life-like colors would be appreciated as well, and other creatures!
  6. This thing is sweet. I love the way the old parts are used in new ways. It's an adorable vehicle. The super simple design works perfectly. Great stuff!
  7. Agreed. And it's great that fans feel that way, but LEGO did consider it to be a Castle theme, which is why Castle fans were irked by its presence.
  8. Agreed. I would love to see Stranger Things in LEGO. Hoping this one's true.
  9. Absolutely, and that would be fantastic. The goat would be the best companion, in my opinion, though a sheep would be great as well. This is a pretty cool little set, though. Great for people building fairgrounds sets. I just don't like the new normal-legged Woody. But that's for another discussion...
  10. I had the same thought! They are definitely similar. I love these (except that I prefer molded creatures). I'm curious to see how popular these Hidden Side sets will be. I have a feeling that they will appeal greatly to those City builders that also enjoy something a little different, like Marvel and DC sets.
  11. That's a nice T-Rex. And hey, nice mech too.
  12. Same! And new Jurassic World critters will be great!
  13. It reminds me of the themed villains in the Nexo Knights art book that we never got...
  14. Congratulations to everyone! Good job on the submissions! I only wish I had more time. I will be moving into the new house soon, so hopefully I can get to building something fun and compelling!
  15. A ghost teddy bear, unless I missed something...
  16. Not really. This theme doesn't offer me much, so if it had been minidolls there wouldn't be much change. And now I expect to see a minidoll theme that does interest me, which will be sad. Absolutely. Possibly the best thing I've seen in this theme so far! I bet @Roebuck will really enjoy it, too!
  17. Not really the kind of theme I get into. I think it could be better, we will have to see what kinds of monsters / ghosts are included in the rest of the sets. Some of the stuff looks cool. I hope that those dark red corner panels are stickered. I'm not a fan of the brick design they've got on them. Great headgear, though. Also, I like the dog. Also, I don't really care about the AR feature, but it's kind of cool that they are rolling that out for those interested. Same here. Mostly because it's not as interesting to me, so it might as well have minidolls. That's a shame, definitely. The new pieces look good, but they are not enough. Yeah, I was hoping it was glow-in-the-dark. If it's not, that takes away a bit of my excitement.
  18. Great progress, and fantastic news about the old sets and minifigures! This thread is so enjoyable on many levels. Thanks for sharing all of this with us!
  19. Thanks for sharing, guys! Lots of great loot! I'm going to have to save up some cash to make an order. A bit tough to do with a new house, but some of this stuff is too good to pass up!
  20. Very cool sets. I love all of the trans light blue in the Space Palace and Sparkle Spa. I wish Zen Bunny was in the spa set, even though I'm not a big fan of BrickHeadz. There's some interesting parts usage with Unikitty's tail in the couch mech set. That one feels like a throwback to 2 of the the previous movie's sets. It's like the Metalbeard mech set crossed with the couch. Maybe both of those sets were big sellers last time?
  21. Yes they did! That's true! They still use it because it still makes for a great color scheme. Trans black and trans light blue work fantastically well in both modern sets and futuristic ones. I do enjoy the Classic Space / Blacktron vibe of trans yellow canopies and details for both factions, but I'd still enjoy updated versions of them with these translucent colors. I'd love to see Classic Space redone with dark blue and one of the pearl grey colors. I think Nexo Knights was trying to do that, but crossing it with Castle took away some of the Space vibes. Also, Ultra Agents had tons of trans light blue, and that was phased out just before Nexo Knights started, so they went Ice Planet and used trans neon orange instead. To be honest, looking back, Ultra Agents had some of the best Space sets in modern times. It's just the weird superhero thing they did with the minifigures and story that didn't work as well for me.
  22. Then there is not problem. Exactly. Same with Game of Thrones.
  23. I would love to see some kid-friendly Game of Thrones sets. I agree with the idea that sets can be kid-friendly even if the subject matter is not.
