  1. This is a fantastic build. Thanks for sharing! There is so much to dissect here from the overall shapes and pose to great parts usage. It's already all been said. I particularly like the lighting you've given this piece. Great stuff!
  2. I voted for 1596 Ghostly Hideout. I remember loving this set as a kid. Simple build, inexpensive, and I got a Wolfpack minifigure along with a glow in the dark ghost and a grey bird. It was pretty awesome. Almost voted 6105 Medieval Knights, but I'm not a huge fan of those Dragon Masters. I just love those old minifigure packs. Also nearly voted for 6079. It's a nice Forestmen set on a raised baseplate, so that's appealing, but ultimately that ghost drew me in. Can we include set names in the poll in the future? Set numbers are confusing and I never know the set by it's number.
  3. That's great, thanks for the heads up! Nice haul. Some very nice pieces in there.
  4. And Nexo Knights has a color scheme pulled almost directly from Ice Planet and definitely feels like a Sci-fi theme. I personally disagree. My ideal space theme would use transparent or trans black canopies. Other colors can be too restricting to me, dictating the color scheme. They can also make the build look to colorful. Of course I'm not opposed to color, but I prefer a darker color scheme like the earth blue and dark grey others have mentioned.
  5. I wonder if these will be teens, giving us access to the medium legs in new colors. It could be worth that alone, which could feed nicely into a new Castle theme with dwarves / gnomes down the line.
  6. I found a lot of them at Wal-Wal-Marts. Only needed one for myself, but I may buy a few more astronauts.
  7. I wanted to vote 6024 Bandit Ambush because of Forestmen, but that's not their best set. I'll have another chance (I hope) in a later round.
  8. I think he's just crossing the water to the spooky looking house / castle in the background.
  9. Nice. I'm definitely going to have to invest in some rollercoaster tracks.
  10. So I recently purchased Benny's Space Squad. I'm just here to report the disappointment that my x105 visor did not clip onto the remade old-style helmets. It just doesn't quite fit. I would really love to see them release a remade x105 visor...
  11. I got my hands on a bunch of these today. Pretty happy with them. I got all 4 Wizard of Oz characters, Rex and his Raptor, Benny and his toolbox, the Giraffe, and the Crayon (and a few duplicates). I may still get some more (and definitely a few more duplicates).
  12. Well I ended up buying this today along with some minifigures (of course I got Benny and his toolbox). I'm not at all disappointed. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I do wish there could have been a Benny dream sequence of sorts with a version of him before he cracked his helmet and scratched his logo. That would be great for the blue spaceman minifigure.
  13. It would be really cool, if only for the recolored tree.
  14. That's about what I'm expecting to see based on that one promotional image.
  15. Yes, by a lot! I'll make that determination when they face each other. Until then, Royal King's Castle is the best set presented here. I also have a thing for raised baseplates.
  16. Nice loot! I still have to get myself that tree costume.
  17. That's pretty sweet...
  18. Wow, this series is fantastic! My favorites, in the order you posted them: Saree Girl Flying Man Jungle Girl Love the Snake) Jousting Knight (Love the Horse Plume) Mounted Policeman (Love the Beaver) Witch Doctor Other notables: Android Cosplayer Alien Tracker (Love the Alien) Toddler Girl Bandito Zombie Woman (Love the Dog) Eskimo (Love the Seal) Overall, the Saree Girl, Witch Doctor, and Mounted Policeman are my top 3. Thanks for sharing another great series of creations with us!
  19. This exactly. I buy sets mostly when they have good minfigures and good parts that can be used to build my own creations. If I don't like the build in the set, I'll probably go to BrickLink for the minifigures (those are sets purchased from stores, so LEGO has their money from that already). If I don't like the minifigures, I'll just try to find the parts online at Bricks & Pieces or BrickLink. And the Pick A Brick Wall at my local LEGO Store has been very valuable. Lots of pieces fit in the cups, and you'll get a better value there than anywhere else.
  20. There's some fantastic stuff there! Thanks for sharing!
