  1. I would be very happy with either one. The second one if it's in Dark Red. If it's going to be in normal Red, I'd prefer the first one. The second is definitely something out of Nexo Knights, taken to the demonic extreme (making it better)!

  3. I agree. Most current medieval fantasy media is aimed much higher in age than LEGO would want to aim towards. They're mostly 'Mature' rated franchises. So there is definitely appeal for adult audiences there. There is a lot of precedent in the past for more broad appeal in medieval fantasy. Heck, I'd say most Disney Princess movies (Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty...) are in the realm of medieval fantasy, and there are more non-princess movies (The Black Cauldron, The Sword and the Stone, Robin Hood) that fit in that category as well. So there is definitely appeal for younger audiences there. A nice traditional medieval fantasy Castle theme would be great, and I think it would appeal to a wider demographic than futuristic cyber Castle (aimed at young children) or completely historical medieval Castle (aimed at older teens and adults). Done well, it could be the best theme they've done (of course, that's my opinion as a Castle fan). But they'd have to really invest in doing so, and I don't think they have the gumption. It just has a weaker design aesthetic. It's not a complete structure like the Modulars, and there is much less detail. It also feels much shorter. Even though the temple section is quite tall, it feels like it should be much taller in comparison to the Modulars. I understand it's not done to that level because that's not the type of set it is, but that's the point. I would want something done to the level of the Modulars in a Castle theme, rather than something done to the level of the Ninjago Temple. But again, it's a really nice set, so I'm not dissing the set itself. I'm just saying it's not the greatest, especially when compared to those Expert level buildings. There may be a good point there, but I really don't even feel Castle and Western belong in the same category. Sure, they're both Historic themes, but they're from such vastly different parts of history that they are really worlds apart.
  4. I'm really hoping for the same kind of treatment as the diver. A classic Astronaut: Versus: City Astronaut has what I would consider a larger visor, and could do with some printing on the sleeves and pants. Possibly a new helmet / backpack combination, but that one might work. Perhaps it will have printing as well.
  5. I'd suggest looking them up on BrickLink. That's your best bet for pricing.

  7. Looks like it could be a new piece in the video. I'm still thinking it is the same old 2 x 4 piece. 2009 wasn't all that long ago.

  9. You say "I for one would love it if LEGO released Historical Creator Expert Sets, hint hint." We're going to end up with a massive Western set, but still no Castle.
  10. Are you really asking? Thorin or a new character in Dimensions doesn't really make for new LOTR sets. It would certainly be welcome, at least by me, but would not satisfy the desire for more sets. Maybe if Dimensions did a large line of LOTR / Hobbit characters, and all of the miniature builds that came with them could connect into a larger set when combined, that would be kind of interesting, and it would be a step in the right direction, but it still wouldn't be new LOTR sets. And it would be ridiculously expensive.
  11. That's my guess. Seems far more likely than a new arm mold.
  12. Ah, so it is. Strange I didn't notice that before. Maybe I just thought it was a bit of artistic license. I'm definitely rethinking my position on the matter, but I still feel it's likely we'll get the old piece. 2009 wasn't really that long ago. But thanks for the research.
  13. That's an interesting concept. It could be. I really hope it's something that would fit well with medieval fantasy, personally. I'd also think that 'ballerina' would have been translated differently. Not sure what kind of 'dancer' it will be, though. A Black Swan ballerina with the Chicken Suit Guy's wings in black would be cool.
  14. You say that with a lot of certainty. Are you sure? It looks like it will be the old piece.

  17. I'd love that. Hopefully it has a nice generic feel, or an otherwise useful heraldry. I typically don't like the heraldry on Black and Red shields (outside of the Wolfpack and the 2013 Dragons).
  18. My opinion, no. According to a LEGO employee, yes.
  19. I could see the flippers being reused for that in the future. I'd like to see the flippers and the Chicken Suit Guy's wings reused. Black wings would be cool. And the flippers might make an interesting decorative piece.
  20. Disappointed some of mine didn't make it, but my score is 3 (which were confirmed early on). I still think some of these will make it in the next few rounds.
  21. It may be cheese slopes, it may be a 1 x 2 tile with a bow print, or it may be nothing since she'll have her cape covering it. While I agree that your gender choices are most likely, I wouldn't have an issue if they were reversed. So I'm hoping just2good stops by to give us some more information on the ones we haven't seen yet.
  22. I think it's most likely to be the old 2 x 4 piece, since it's a piece they have actually used in the past, and is the piece used in the original Marie Antoinette design. I hope to see it used for princesses in this CMF series. We need minifigure Disney princesses, since all of the other ones released have been minidolls, and those are just terrible.

  24. I'm not sure, but she doesn't have that 'princess' look, with the fancy dress. Not that I think all Castle themes need these characters, just that they typically are included and almost expected.
