This is magnificent! The size, the detail, the beauty, it's all fantastic. I love every part of this. I love how clean it looks on the back side. The front is obviously the show piece, but the back looks so good, and the lighting is a nice touch. Wonderful work!

I agree on the minifigures, but there are a lot of things I like about the color scheme. Maybe it goes a little too far into the hot pink range at times, but the purples and blues are great, and the color scheme as a whole works well together.

This is a beautiful castle design. The landscaping is gorgeous, as is the flora. I love the way the wood and stone work together. All around, it looks like a great fortress. Is there an interior? Great work!

This was one of my favorite sets growing up, and you've made a really beautiful take on it. I really like the design of the rocks with the moss, that looks great. I also like that roof, it's fantastic. One little detail I love is the wooden corner, where the posts are all offset to different lengths. The long post in the middle really brings me back to the original design. Excellent work!

I haven't seen a thread like that. It would be pretty cool to see it, though.

I'm buying a lot of parts on BrickLink. Pyramids, shield tiles, Ash Attacker torsos and legs, Lance visors, etc. It's a great theme for select parts.

To me, this thread is a great place to point out projects that should not be on Ideas. Not just troll projects, but truly bad ones. There are some projects so bad they should never make it to the site. I see LEGO Ideas not as a place to learn to build, but as a place for the best set ideas. Many of the projects in this thread are sub-par, by quite a bit. There are a few that are actually good, like the giant brick. I understand it may not be for everyone, but it's nicely done, and it deserves to be on the Ideas site. I don't think the Platypus was very well done at all. Some of them are truly awful, like the telescope back on page 2. That said, I don't like the atmosphere of mockery, either. It's nice to laugh a bit at some projects, because they truly are funny (or the idea that they could ever become sets is funny). But some people are being very negative, and that's uncalled for.

Wow, I thought it was Frogger.

I look forward to a day when multiple Castle subthemes can coexist. Something historical for those fans, and something fantastical for other fans.
