  1. Awesome! I'd love to see Voltron, Addams Family, Lovelace & Babbage, and the Merchant's House. Of those, I can only see Voltron and Lovelace & Babbage making it through. So I'm really hoping for Voltron.
  2. I don't mind the update, but it seems entirely aesthetic. And I prefer the older version, too. It seemed faster, but I'm just getting used to the changes. What it really needs is an option for store pick-up. That way, I can pay online and pick it up in person. Great for times when I can't be there for store opening because of other commitments, like work, and I can pick it up on the way home. They might even want to consider pre-orders.
  3. A promising debut. Sounds good, but not as good as the praise other big selling themes got in the past. It's a highly sophisticated interlocking brick system. But yeah, I do see the issue, and how they make efforts to include and produce for us. Still, it'd be nice if they would produce sets in Castle, Pirates, and Space themes that catered more to AFOLs rather than sticking to the themes you mention above. Interesting idea. To me, those minifigures are great and useful, but always as fringe characters. Still, I wouldn't mind it if the sets and minifigures were done well.
  4. I loved that movie, despite its flaws and quirks. Hard to imagine they could make a worse Inspector Gadget movie. That's a really good and interesting movie. Last movie I watched was Old Dogs. I expected it to be bad, but it actually had me laughing. Robin Williams can't not be funny in a comedy.
  5. That's a good point as well. They may just price themselves out of the market.
  6. If it wasn't, it was built by someone who shouldn't be posting their sub-par projects.
  7. I believe a $150 Pirate ship set could be very viable, if done well.
  8. I don't believe it helps in that matter at all. Cinderella in name, but no Cinderella. Just seems dumb to me. I really want the castle, but with only 5 minifigures (only 1 of which I'm interested in) it's been too hard to justify. Also, the shields are stickers, so that's another strike.
  9. 1st was pointless. 2nd was built by a 6 year old. 3rd was, well, I'm not the guy to ask since I don't care for Constraction, but even I can tell that's not up to par. These types of projects need to stay off of Ideas.
  10. Yeah, I don't see it ending any time soon. There are hundreds of ideas, like the ones mentioned above, or a Wolfpack Bandit. Also, their list is quite extensive. I don't think they'll ever make all of the minifigures they'd like to make, even if this goes on for another decade or more.
  11. Spring or summer would fit well with the sea, and summer or fall would fit well with plants. I think that's an excellent way to release them. Yeah, I really want to have him.
  12. Are AFOLs the core audience of any theme? They should be.
  13. That looks great. I didn't think brick-built instruments would look good, but those look fine!
  14. Today, I watched Stakeout. It was quite a bit better than its sequel.
  15. I don't mind that as much as the Elf and Viking Woman combination.
  16. And for that matter, why is Castle different? Fans expect demand something fresh each wave.
  17. I used to love the cartoon. The movie was even more over the top than the cartoon, which to me always had a bit of a noir feel. Anyways, the movie was garbage. That's a great movie. So well made. And Jessica Alba! Love that movie. So ridiculous. Anyways, I watched Another Stakeout with Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, and Rosie O'Donnell. It wasn't terrible, and had some genuine laughs.
  18. That's a great movie. I watched Inspector Gadget with Matthew Broderick. I really wish I hadn't.
  19. I just finished Mystery, Alaska. That's a great movie. I saw it years ago, but forgot how good it was, and how good the cast is. Another great hockey movie, getting me ready for my season.
  20. That's a great little ship. The use of the windshield is quite beautiful in this context. Looks complex, but it's deceptively simple. I love that. Great work!
  21. That's a fantastic build. The ships themselves are very nice, but this is about the base so I'll keep it there. I love the details on the platforms, and the way that two of them are angled. That works really well. The rocky walls and walkways are beautifully done. I also love the tower, and the lights only add to that. The details there are great, I love the radar dishes. Overall, it's just a wonderful build to house your other great works. Nice job!
  22. The same can be said for some things that are in Dimensions already, like LEGO Batman and LEGO Lord of the Rings. Not the same as having all of the characters and builds in game and in hand for Dimensions. But yes, the existing games are good.
  23. There were things that appealed to me about the sets, but also things I didn't care for. The former were outweighed by the latter. I really wanted to like the theme, though. I wasn't too big on the bugs, for example, because I see bug aliens as pretty cliché. Then again, it can be done well (as in Ender's Game or Starship Troopers). I also didn't care much for the color scheme, which was very bright and colorful. It seems they do that with their own in-house themes, and use the better colors on the licensed sets. But I did like some colors, like those used on the aliens, and a few of the humans. I also liked the trans canopies, unlike others here. Colored canopies are too specific for my tastes. I liked the concept of the robots, but never found one in particular, or in a color scheme that I liked. Anyways, it didn't seem to do too well in my area, either. Definitely anecdotal, but it's also the general consensus.
  24. This is how all exclusives should be, in my opinion.
