  1. From what I saw in the video, I think the BWE only has THREE motorized functions: - Spinning the bucket wheel, which is connected to both the upper and lower conveyor belts. - Spinning the super structure. - Moving the tracks back and forth (tracks of both sides are linked). There are 3 separate switches, so I think the setup is similar to that of the 42042: turning a switch changes the direction, not the function. The bucket wheel switch can only be turned in 1 direction, though.
  2. BWE's B model: Mobile Aggregate Processing Plant!
  3. BWE's B model: Mobile Aggregate Processing Plant!
  4. IMO, Volvo is a joke. A big joke. It's supposed to have a excavator bucket, not 2 clamshells... The clamshells don't rotate also... *big sigh of disappointment* About the BWE, it's funny that Markus went all the way to make various motorized functions, but moving the boom is manual... It's even more absurd that the BWE uses the standard excavator bucket, but Volvo doesn't.
  5. The Volvo was revealed to be 70 GBP, which is approximately 91 EUR and 100 USD. I'd expect 5 pneumatic cylinders because the real one has 5.
  6. I'm still a bit appalled by the fact that Xerion has a crane. Everything has a crane. First Unimog, then Arocs, now Xerion. I wouldn't be surprised if one day Lego made a car or a front loader with a crane. If you like it then you should have put a crane on it (~' ')~
  7. Or maybe it's a trick to push the part count limit.
  8. Or perhaps we will get 2 trenchers as the B-model: one with the bucket wheel, one with tracked digger.
  9. I think to demonstrate the bucket wheel function, there must be enough bricks to fill a small box, so that the bucket wheel can come down and swoop them.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if 200-300 of the 3000 pieces turn out to be Lego dirt blocks which helps the BWE demonstrates its function (like the 8 water blocks in the Fire Plane).
  11. Regarding the Xerion Claas, Beyonce made a prediction in 2008: If you like it then you should have put a crane on it.
  12. Claas come with a crane at the back? Is it a Unimog clone?
  13. Claas Xerion has 4 wheels of the same size, and B-model has to use those 4 wheel of the same size, while Class Axion has bigger rear wheels and smaller front wheels. So it's not possible.
  14. I think BWE uses at least 1 XL motor. Moving tracks, moving boom, moving bucket wheel are all heavy tasks. My bet is a trench digger. It can utilize the whole bucket wheel and conveyor belts. or this
  15. Brick Fanatics reported that BWE: 179.99 £ , Car: 249.99 £ . Promo Brick cite Brick Fanatics as source, however reported that BWE: 249.99 £ , Car: 179.99 £. I think Promo Brick made some mistakes while typing, probably because of excitement.
  16. Every year since 2010 only 2 sets come ready with Power Function, so I guess Xerion will be PF-upgradable. Volvo wouldn't have Power Function, which probably means it'll have a hand pump. If so probably Volvo wouldn't need PF at all and wouldn't be PF-upgradable.
  17. At least we have solid information related to Volvo and Xerion already. A pneumatic 70 EUR set. I think it probably has a manual pump and wheels of 42024. What a shame, really. I've always wanted a big, complex wheel excavator to complement the 8043.
  18. Poor MB Arocs, enjoying the status of largest Technic set by piece for only 1 year, while Unimog and Mobile Crane did for 2 years.
  19. Lego's really pushing the part count limit aren't they? - 2011: Unimog, 2100 pcs - 2013: Mobile Crane, 2600 pcs - 2015: MB Arocs, 2800 pcs - 2016: BWE 3000 pcs I used to think it's not until 2017 that we see a new limit, but it comes sooner than I thought.
  20. I have an idea about Volvo EW160E: What if the motor and batter box are placed under the turntable? The switches will be between the front and rear wheels, and on both side. There are 4 functions: outriggers, front dozer blade, rotating the turntable, and one axle for the things above the turntable. Then the axle will be connected to a pump or a bunch of other gears to control the arm.
  21. 10195 kilometers to London, 9491 kilometers to Nuremberg (from Vietnam).
  22. And we already have a white-orange set this year (Helicopter).
