  1. I find the BWE's speed build video much more interesting than the Porsche's speed build video. Am I the only one?
  2. To me, at least G2 introduces the waist-turning function, which is what I have been coveted in Bionicle since 2001. I was just hoping that next year they'd introduce waist-leaning too, but I'm satisfied with the waist-turning.
  3. I'm hoping for some steep discount in Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It's now available on S@H US for 300$ woohoo!
  4. It's only 255 EUR on amazon.de, gentlemen! https://www.amazon.de/LEGO-Technic-42056-Porsche-911/dp/B01CCT2ZHC/ref=pd_sim_21_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=51Igk%2Bjs0LL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=2FYQCAC066C07RJS9PJW
  5. Can you share the link to that? I went to amazon.de and saw that the best deal was only 219.99 with free shipping. Maybe you posted in the wrong thread? I saw that the 42056 is 50 EUR off.
  6. I'm so tempted to order another 4 tyres to put on my 9398.
  7. My guess is that the prelim arm is heavier than the official one, to the extent that it can bend some liftarms or wheelie the whole tractor if the outriggers aren't lowered.
  8. One argument that I see quite a number have brought up, which goes along the line "but we are AFOLs, and we don't need color coding / axle confusion is not a problem for us". The following parts can be disturbing to some people. I really find that argument amusing and to a certain degree, unreasonable. + Lego sets have age ranges, but as far as I understand they recommended ranges, not allowed ranges. In other words, there is no strict prohibition or regulation that a set has to be assembled by a person within that age range. Therefore the sets intended for older kids, who you guys may argue that will have little problem distinguishing axles, can still be bought and given to younger kids, who may have trouble distinguishing axles. + One of the intended effect of the axle color coding is to reduce burden on customer service. Just because adults can tolerate the challenge, and is willing to disassemble the sets to replace some misplaced axles, some young kids, or older kids, or even adults, don't. + Another factor to put into consideration is that, the sets have become more complex and more compact, which leads to more reinforcements and strengthening, which leads to more inconvenience when an axle is misplaced.
  9. I'm just blown away when I saw that the massive (to me) Arocs is totally enclosed inside the dump bed!
  10. One does not simply remain patient with regards to 2H sets.
  11. I'd separate the digging function from the slewing function.
  12. 12 quadrants 2 buckets left. Probably no track links left.
  13. It's for sale on amazon.de for 229.99 EUR.
  14. I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I was referring to the wedge belt disks on the bottom of the superstructure. When the superstructure rotates, those disks slide on the quadrants attached to the base. I was asking that, when the disks slide on the quadrants, do they rotate around their own axles?
  15. @Anio: Thanks a lot for the review. When the wedge belts slide on the quadrant racks, do they rotate?
  16. Can you at least translate the comparison between the Unimog and the Claas?
  17. My suspicion grows stronger when I looked back on the preliminary B-model. The prelim box says "motorized conveyor belts and sorting of bricks", while the official box only says "motorized conveyor belts". Besides, there's a gear near the pit in the prelim model, but no gear spotted so far in the high-res official one. Maybe the B-model used to be able to sort bricks, motorized-ly. But that function was dropped. :-<
  18. One does not simply regret buying the Claas! And one does not simply miss an published review... @M_longer: Thanks a lot for the reviews, this and the Volvo. I love the fact that your reviews contain shots of various stages in the build, which are hard to seen in Sariel's ones. If only the pictures were larger, so that I don't have to click them.
  19. And here I was, thinking that Jim was going to announce the review is ready
  20. Come to think of it, the only thing that the box says about the B-model is "motorized conveyor belts". I'm starting to suspect that maybe the B-model doesn't actually have a motorized sorting function. Maybe the bricks can be sorted, but manually, with a gear knob or a crank to move the filter.
  21. High-res photo of the B-model: http://worldtoys.pl/environment/cache/images/0_0_productGfx_e3197153f0c1e7bf12df06c4a6220ffb.jpg http://kockashop.hu/galleries/lego/42054/large/6.jpg I see one vertical bevel gear, one small LA, but no catchover in sight.
  22. That PPUNG managed to squeeze 4 RC functions into this set:
  23. Is the instruction of the B-model available already?
