  1. I've always wanted the trailer in the B model to have proper duallies, but it is only until recently that I have managed to make this happen. So here it is, I would like to present my MOD for duallies in the trailer. Characteristics: - The axle length needs to be reduced to 11L. - The tow bars for suspension need to be moved inside. - Since there is only one hole for the pin that holds the wheel at the end of the live axle, I use the new part Pin Hole with 2 1L axles 180 degree, introduced in 2017. I take them from the spare parts of 42069 after building the B model. I also put the yellow springs to the second axle because the grey springs bend under the weight of the crane. Hope this helps.
  2. It happens for me and apparently for the set in Sariel's review as well. So it's a universal problem. However I managed to find a simple MOD to fix this. Will post into 42070 MOD thread later.
  3. There is also a shaft connecting the wheels to the propeller fans, and a steering system. According to the description the fans will rotate when you push the hovercraft. There can be a differential, but I don't think it's likely.
  4. TLG heard you @AVCampos. And TLG decided to ... ignore
  5. Is it possible to mod a proper duallie to the rear axles? And I found DBG pin with bush in the front fender.
  6. Here's the back of 42076 box. http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/42076_alt2?op_sharpen=0&resmode=sharp4&wid=4000 I've spotted another anomaly. The 42076 A has a black 20z gear for stearing, but the steering knob for 42076 B is two tan 20z 1/2 gear. So that means the black 20z gear is used somewhere in the model. But I cant see which function of it would need that gear...
  7. Instructions for B model this year now have realistic backgrounds for B model instead of black backgrounds. And for some reasons I have not yet quite to figured out, the part list of 42074 is at the back of instruction of the B model... o__O There is no part list at the back of the instruction of the A model. On another note, here are some excessively large pics: 42076 B http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/42076_alt7?op_sharpen=0&resmode=sharp4&wid=4000 This pic shows that this set has yellow 5L axles and LBG 7L axles. So the axles that control the mini LA of the ramp in the 42076 A are either 5L ones which doesnt make sense at all or yellow 9L ones. 42077 http://cache.lego.com/r/dynamic/is/image/LEGO/42077_alt4?op_sharpen=0&resmode=sharp4&wid=4000 ^ That one shows the mysterious K.ORNSTEDT on the roof
  8. Why don't you use the small turntable for the rear excavating arm? Using only the 24z gear and worm gear isn't sustainable in my opinion. Gravity will pull the arm to the back and thus apply pressure on the 24z gear as well as the axle going through it. And the worm gear is only secured on one end, so it is more prone to wobble while transmitting the motion.
  9. Perhaps too much popularity at the expense of 2017 2H sets
  10. 42076 B model consists of a crane truck, a jet boat, and a transverse rotor aircraft.
  11. It looks like there is a 3x11 DBG panel in the middle of the rear trunk of the First Responder. It serves as a base for 2 orange cones. So it doesnt look likely to be PF upgradable.
  12. @BrickbyBrickTechnic It does have a shock. One shock only.
  13. @vectormatic Hubs for the rear wheels are the same with those in 42039, but hubs for front wheels are Porsche ones.
  14. 42077 can be seen as a cheap way to get the Porsche/CLAAS wheel hubs.
  15. There is a review already: Smashing these two at each other seems really fun loll
  16. @Jim Talking bout reviews in 2018 thread, I have been wondering how comes that Siegfried did the reviews for 2017 1H instead of you?
  17. I agree with Jim that the rally car doesn't need any more function. At first I didnt plan to get it but now it looks so cool that alone is enough to make me want it. I dont know bout others, for me I buy sets for their looks. Sth look cool it'll get a place on my shelf, regardless of how many functions it has or if it works perfectly.
  18. @Aventador2004 Still the same technique that attaches one end ot the spring to the wish bone and another end to a fixed point :/
  19. It's not just a bit like, it's a lot like: - Wheel arch similar to that of 42039 - Panel behind door similar to that of 42056 - Roof reinforcement and curve technique similar to that of 8070 an 42056. - Suspension, hasn't changed a bit
  20. There are two phrases on the roof of the rally car. One is "U.WABRA", one is "KORNSTEDT". So "KRN" is most likely the abbreviation of the latter phrase. What it means I have no idea. I dont recall any desginer with that name. Or maybe it's the name of a new Technic designer.
  21. For 2017, name on Jan 10 and leak pic on Jan 11. Two months to go. No need to rush. Just enjoy the 1H first.
