  1. The instructions for the B model also include two books. And book 1 is the exact copy of the book 1 for A model. Makes me wonder why include it at all when TLG can just reference the printed instruction book. The beginning of book 2 for B model already instructs the builder to take the superstructure and disassemble it.
  2. In page 240 of the 42081 B, there are also images of various prototypes in sketch and in Lego model. One of which has various 42055 buckets mounted on tracks. So a flagship Bucket Chain Excavator can totally happen! Another one in that page looks like a concrete mixer trailer with the concrete bed mounted on 8 yellow gear quadrants. I think we can expect to see a similar setup in the near future. And wheel arch in yellow
  3. All instructions including those for B models are available.
  4. Today in my country there is a warehouse clearance sale in which discounts are as high as 50%. I immediately went to the place displace it's been 20:30 already. In the Technic corner there are only 42062, 42068, 42069, 42055, and 42058. And the interesting thing is there are heaps of 8293 (the M motor and Battery Box) at 50% off. I grabbed 42062, 42068 (for B model), and 8293. This got me wondering whether Power Function will be phased out completely next year and the distributor had to get rid off those motors haha. In Vietnam there is only one official Lego distributor. Maybe they got access into the next development or something.
  5. Make it like the Arocs. 8 axles, a cab, a skeletal bed, a pneumatic crane.
  6. Bloody hell that is one hell of an awesome C model!
  7. Too bad there's no company in my country that ships from that website. I can only order shipping from amazon.de and ebay.de. Although I'm aching badly to put my paws on this set I've gotta wait a few more months.
  8. And then cram them all into the superstructure? Undercarriages of tracked models in general don't have places for gearboxes.
  9. Crawler crane is already done in 2015. The number is 42042. And I don't think it can go past the 2000 piece count, let alone be a flagship. Flagship piece count lately has been bloated. Yeah I also think if Crawler Transporter + Rocket is done, the main functions will be in the space shuttle.
  10. Here are some exotic vehicles that can appear as flagship: - Backhoe - Combine Harvester - Volvo Sfinx - Front Shovel Excavator - Bucket Chain Excavator - Dragline Excavator - Power Shovel Excavator - Telehandler - Reach Stacker (I've been dying for this one) - Bucket Wheel Trencher Digger - Crawler Transporter + Rocket - Feller Buncher
  11. Maybe this should be merged into the General Part Discussion?
  12. 2018 is an unusual year in which neither Markus nor Uwe designed a major set. The (probably) only set by Uwe this year is 42077, which feels like a mini 42056. I don't think it took him much time to make that set. Markus did the 42078 trailer and 42079. Nothing major. So I think they're both working on things bigger. Especially Uwe. I hope that 2019 2H flagship, if turned out to be another RC by Uwe, wouldn't turn out like 42070. Or maybe next flagship is a proper backhoe
  13. For me the size of a set has little to do with its interestingness. Just speculating what TLG will spin out next.
  14. The slope behind the cabin that has 4 3x7 panels in red look unusual. Any idea what it is supposed to represent? In the quick build, that slope turns out to be attached with one end only, and the other end is left inclining because of gravity. Not sure if it will wobble.
  15. Maybe Jim can just dig around for comments about a particular set and staple them together, and add some professional-grade pictures, and voila, detailed review with no writing
  16. Or maybe this: Maybe not the next big thing, but can definitely be big (3000+ pieces) and can totally use the gear quadrants. Add a bunch of system parts to make a open mine and maybe it will go past 4100.
  17. Doesn't look likely to have 4100 ish pieces either However if TLG is to make a tracked excavator with multidirectional gearbox and all 6 basic functions motorized: 3 functions of arm, rotation, linked tracks, outriggers linked with blade, then maybe it can be in a scale of 42082.
  18. Beside rough terrain cranes and mobile cranes, are there any other types of machinery that have huge undercarriages and superstructure? Like, rough terrain wheeled excavator, rough terrain telehandler or something. I'm thinking about possible candidates for the next big thing, probably in 2020, bigger than the next supercar. And possible machines that will use the gear quadrants.
  19. Why imagine when you can buy 42069 and try that for yourself
