The Disney train might work out ok as an extra WV train. I already have both the WV train and Hogwarts Express going around. Might need a bigger table tho

I really like the Lego truck. Inspires me to create one myself to fit in the winter village
-
Could be from a gift with purchase set or a smaller seasonal build. We usually get a couple small sets each holiday season

There was some controversy surrounding the latest Jurassic Park set with the main gate and the T-Rex. A set very similar was rejected awhile before. The official word from Lego was that they had theirs in development before the ideas set ever came up for vote. Many people are skeptical about that...

LOL - it would be fitting for Lego

Its a pretty great price for the size of set. I really like it in the fall colors. Could be a great centerpiece for a great fall display

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Blackpool replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Definitely going to figure out to incorporate this Ski Resort into my WV setup. Will probably take some altering of colors and possibly combining the two buildings but I think it has a ton of potential. Cool set! -
I'm not convinced this years WV set will be a gingerbread house and here's why 1. The image itself was pretty grainy and could've easily been doctored 2. The piece count of 1400+ seems too high even considering a bunch of small detailed pieces 3. We already have multiple versions of a gingerbread minifigure. (1 from CMF Series 11 and 1 from set 5005156) 4. We got a smaller gingerbread house only a few years ago (set 40139 from 2015) All that being said Lego does weird things sometimes that don't seem to make a lot of sense to us (I'm looking at you Toy Shop Re-Release) but I'm just excited that WV rumor season is in full swing.

I'm still going to hold out hope that we get a town hall set this year. This piece count (if it can be believed) being higher would seem to indicate either a larger set or more complicated one. Its kinda fun trying to play detective and figure things out this early in the game and a town hall or gingerbread house seem to be great possibilities. I wouldn't rule out a police station though. Would make sense after getting the fire station last year.

Seasonal products on November 2018 calendar
Blackpool replied to wooster's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I was wondering the same thing myself. Usually we get 1 freebee announced for purchases in November and another in December. Seems like the rotate every other year with the type of set but its odd to see nothing presented on the Nov. calendar -
At first it might seem like an odd choice for a WV set but if you take a look at traditional winter village displays (those made of ceramic I believe) they all have police and fire stations. Perhaps TLG is just using them for an example

I would love to see a WV Lego store! Would save me a ton of money over bricklinking the MOC I have designed for one in LDD.

@aukevin Very nice job on the extension. I was planning something similar and this confirms that it looks much better with a larger platform. Keep up the nice work on your WV!

I like it! Fits well with the scale and feel of the first few WV sets and will be a great addition to my village. I'm considering getting an extra for MOC purposes

A train station would make a ton of sense. Obviously it makes sense with the release of last year's train. It makes even more sense when you consider that the train will be available for sale again this year and TLG would likely sell more trains to go with a train station. That being said, maybe it makes too much sense? Every time I try and figure out what a set will be based on marketing and sales it seems TLG go a different direction lol

Love the idea of a winter village town square. Unfortunately, I think the plan of that many minifigures for the $35 price tag is probably unlikely. A town square could perhaps exist as the usual $70-100 set though

Great update! Can't wait to see it with the waterfall

Stumbled into the train forum just to kill some time and what a cool thread to find! These large displays are really cool to see and its awesome that you have documented it so well. Keep up the amazing work! I'll be sure to keep checking in

Wow! The scale of your city is really impressive with the expanded modulars. Would love see an outdoor concert venue in the square! hint hint Nicely done!

The lighting is really cool in this. Nice job and thanks for sharing!

I find the December calendar quite underwhelming. Will likely get the snow globe but I don't see any motivation for buying in December.

[MOD/MOC] Expanding the 10254 Winter Holiday Train
Blackpool replied to mouseketeer's topic in LEGO Town
Very cool! As many have already stated, the hot cocoa car is a really neat idea. Great job. I've come up with a larger passenger car based on the toy story train that I'll post when I get a chance.
