  1. I currently have a World very much like Earth in some respects, but very different in others. The LEGO Empire (or the Empire, for short) is made up of the USA, Canada, Mexico, an some of Europe.(Mainly the UK & Ireland) That way, my American trains and my UK trains live in one country, but on separate continents. Some real world companies exist, (IE The United Kingdom's British Railways and it's predecessor companies, but not the current post-BR ones) while other are in modified form. (America's Southern Pacific Railway exists, but spreads to St. Louis & onwards to Chicago.) Still other corporations exists only in the Empire, such as Brick Railway Systems taking the place our Union Pacific, St. Louis - San Fransisco (Frisco), & Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe (Santa Fe) Railways. Steam stills thrives on Brick Railway Systems, by the way, as diesels are too un-ecinomical. Space travel exists to such an extent that I have colonies on, and contact with, other worlds / civilizations, such as the Space Police, Blacktron, etc. The Empire controls the Moon & Mars. I even call the Earth another name: Playwell. (leg-godt is danish for play well, after all!) I consider this world an alternate reality to our main dimension.
  2. Builders Notes: I built this ship from two Adventurers sets: I used the boat from set #5975 (T-Rex Transport) and modified slightly to resemble set #5976, (River Expedition). The captain figure is supposed to be the Collectable Mini-Figure Captain (from series 10) in his youth. The ship features a boiler, steering wheel and a metal-looking smoke-stack using column pieces in black. I might even put this piece: on the back to signify the Queen's old owner, Octan Company. Back story: The Delta Queen was built in 1910 by the Octan Company for transporting supplies and empty oil barrels to it's many Oil refineries and pumping stations on the African coast. In 1914, World War 1 broke out and Octan's Egyptian properties were seized by the British for use to the war effort. This seizure included the Delta Queen, which was partially sunk in a 1916 accident in the Mediterranean. The ship was considered a loss and Octan was payed for it's replacement at the Great War's end. The wreck was bought in 1919 by a former US Naval officer named Jack Hawkins. He brought the ship up to the surface, repaired it, and started a business sailing cargo and customers around the Horn of Africa. He befriended adventurer Johnny Thunder during the 1921 search for the Re-Gou Ruby while looking for work in Alexandria. Johnny kept in touch with Jack, whom eventually helped Harry Cane (pilot extraordinaire and another adventurer friend) build a car for Johnny after his beloved automobile, the Scorpion Tracker, was lost in a sandstorm. They dubbed it the Treasure Tracker and gave it to Johnny after the Orient Expedition was over in 1924. Photos: front view rear view Over-head view (with now cargo to help show the deck) Captain Jack Hawkins is on the left, while Johnny Thunder is on the right. (Johnny is supposed to be the 2014 LEGO Movie version) A better look at the car (seems as though someone is missing their hat now! ) (LDD file coming soon) Comments, Questions, & complaints welcome! LDD file contains no cars, no figs, just the boat as seen here: LXF here: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1394027734m.lxf
  3. Thanks Draiknova. I'm suprised no-one else has commented yet. Did anyone catch my Indiana Jones, Monster Fighter, or Pharaoh's Quest connections? By the way, here is an advetisment for the maker of the Island Racer, the Ogel Motor Car Company: Our founder, namesake, and future Universal Dictator, Mr. Ogel himself, would like you to browse our impressive collection of destructive devices, dangerous decoys, and deadly (rubber) duckies. 5. Sorry for double posting, but can someone please update the index? I uploaded a lot and would like to see it included in the index. Thank you.
  6. @zephyr1934: I don't really care for it either, but I couldn't think of a good way to make it look good and differentiate it between UK and my US railway stock. (AKA: I wanted to make it look British, not American as much as possible.) Anyway, new LDD file time! 12. Hello again everyone! I have good news: I have taken pictures of all my current UK trains. The pictures are visible in the first post, and also feature a new engine: #5713 (courtesy of scotnick!)
  13. Sorry for the double, post, but the LXF is now available! LDD file: (moved) ...and I updated a picture in the first post, showing the newly removable tower roof! EDIT #2: added inside shots of the building!
  14. @ HomerJSimpson: Absolutely! I've already got a lot built, I just need to make one more order for all the rest of the parts (the platform is all that's left). This order will be made as soon as two thing happen: 1.The store I need is temporarily closed, but it will be back up sometime soon (I hope!) 2. To order these parts, I need to find some cash, as I don't think the store will let me pay in these parts:
  15. Thanks for sharing the LDD file Scotnick! It makes my day when i see you've posted a file: it means I have a new puzzle to work out and figure what makes a model tick... or steam in this case!
  16. @ rummel12: It is already 98% complete in real life. The building is done, but the platform itself is waiting for more funds! @ Lazarus: I can't wait to see it your design in-the-brick! Thanks for commenting!
  17. I built this station with set #7997 in mind. (Link to this set's Brickset listing: http://brickset.com/...1/Train-Station ) I got the original set in 2007, along with a double rail crossover for my Birthday. I wanted to make it a full building but didn't have the parts. By 2008, I had discovered Bricklink, but the station was in pieces by then and was not re-created until early 2012. The station was a stock set, while I searched for ideas. Eventually, I came across a build by fellow Eurobricks user named Lazarus that incorporated a modular basis, a full building (street & track-sides) & a appealing design. I saved a picture of it and made my own design based on his. I included really neat features, (such as the arched lattice windows made with a fence) but I went too far and made it impossible to transport to train shows and LUG meetings. The platforms were very flimsy, and during the recent move to my families new house, it shattered into small chunks. So, I went back to the drawing board, scrapping everything but the building itself. Here is the end result, which is strangely near where I started with set #7997. It has one platform, plentiful outside seating on the platform, and is still yellow-and-black. There are many changes from the set, (no stairs on the platform, for example.) but the heart and soul is still there. In this latest version, I relocated the clocks to the top of the tower roof so that the design was closer to the original model. I also combined / redid sections of the model, such as the building and trackside awning have become one large section instead of two smaller ones. I even swapped the town-name of this station and my Victorian station, making the one you see here "Barretts" while the other one became "Ironwood". Also, this side of the station is 5 tracks long, or 80 studs. Here is the street side of the station. Here we can see the interior of the station, with ticket machines, seating, and snack bar on the first floor, plus the train tracking / switching controls on the second floor. You can also see the modular breakdown of the model, which includes the following: -Station building (lower floor) -Station roof and Tower control room (upper floor) -Tower roof -left platform section -right platform section The original set, courtesy or Bricklink. 18. These are some older MOCs / MODs I have made since 2009. (I just noticed: I built the Police cruiser in LDD before finalizing Space Police IV's black and white color scheme, sorry!) Here they are: Flying cars / space vehicles I have created / modified since 2009. This includes 11 vehicles total, and these ships are ALL 100% build-able. Built by the Spyruis Collective for the Blacktron leader, who remains unknown. The ship is a modified Lunar Limo with more armor and weapons than you can shake a cyber-stick at. The fellow next to the ship is not the mysterious Blacktron leader, but the second-in-command, and noly he knows the true nature of Blacktron's elusive commander-in-chief. The best place for law abiding people to get as tune up is the Space Repair Garage, founded in 2009 by seven friends. Here we see them hover-carpooling to work. (In reality, these were my first friends on the LEGO Message-boards way back in 2009-10. We all role played as the Space Repair Garage team in the Space Police III forum. This is a shout out to those wonderful days and nice people.) This air car was purchased second hand from a fellow on a certain City-planet who said it had been used by two Jedi in pursuit of a bounty hunter. The car was in bad shape after having a run in with the Jedi and some huge power couplings. Needless to say, the Jedi did not pay the Repair bill, and the car was sold half-fixed to a certain mini fig named Murdoch, who then painted it black and gray and fixed it could be as close as possible to the original. Built by M-Tron Corporation for it's higher executives, this model is one of 20. This car can go from zero to 1/4 light speed in under 30 seconds, which is not too fast, but reasonable for a shipping company based upon speed and safety. After the third era of Space Police ended with the demise of Brick Daddy and the merging of the Black Hole Gang into the Blacktron forces, Space Police has become increasingly military-like. They show arms openly, and and often wrongly target aliens as the cause of problems as a result of the alien-only Black Hole Gang's brutal warfare against mainstream society. The Space Police IV's leader is Sgt. Rodney 'Ironlegs' O'Brian seen here driving a (heavily) armed patrol hover-car as a show of force. Built from the ground-up by Albert Ironsprocket on the planet Aurora and personally flown to the planet of Galaxy City on official matters. He then learned of Aurora's complete destruction, and has set up as school to show the advantages of steam versus nuclear or diesel power. He calls this line of thinking SteamPunk. Built using Nexus Force modular rocket technology for a very quiet (almost silent) Alien race called the Gray Ones. There are only 20 of these rockets for now, but more are being ordered by the Gray Ones, who travel the universe searching for the answer to the Unanswerable question: Who is Doctor Who? Built by The NEXUS Force for their operations in the Crux System and afterward. These ships are capable of space and atmospheric flight, but work best in low atmosphere conditions which is why it is being replaced for Interplanetary flight. Several hundred are stationed in Galaxy City during construction of Nexus Tower II while the main detachment continues space ward, searching for any intruding Maelstrom forces that that could delay construction. Built in the early 1980's by DMC motors and modified by Doc Brown to achieve time travel in 1985. The car has 2015 hover car modifications and a Mr. Fusion nuclear reactor. This car was once owned by as famous one-eyed US Federal Agent... until it was rendered 'totaled' by a three-way battle with Spider Man, Venom and said Federal Agent. The car was destined for the scrap heap until and enterprising young man bought the wreck and fixed it up. He eventually became president of the Mini-figs for Alien Rights (MARs, for short) and has been leading a semi-successful campaign against Space Police and their species profiling of innocent aliens as criminals. After all, there are no alien Space Police members! 2015 SPYDR Motor Co. Hover-bike.. not much else to this one to say. Any comments, thought or complaints anyone?
  19. Background for the Space police version 1 -4: In the original Space Police, they were just that, a police force in space. They would round up bad guys and put them in jail to await trial. After the prisons became full and the Blacktron Wars got really close to home, they turned into a SPII, an army of police men & women ready to fight any battle any way that it took to win. After the war was over they were scaled way back in terms of power and influence. By 2007, the Space Police had been put under the control of the Universal Space Congress and turned into their third incarnation, which was basically SPI but more refined. Instead of throwing them in jail, they put them in stack-able, easier-to-maintain cyro-pods to await trial. Then the Black Hole gang (secretly under the sway of the Blacktron) arrived. They destroyed several SPIII stations, and sent many convicts free. Meanwhile, Blacktron officials officially denounced the Black Hole Gang and spread rumors of police corruption and gang / police cooperation conspiracy throughout the Congress via their agents. The SPIII were able to stop those rumors and put the Blacktron's plans in the spotlight, but at great cost. With Congress' eyes opened to the Blacktron's plan of severing the ties between themselves and it's only protectors - the Space Police- the congress gave everything they had to the police who then stopped the war by vaporizing the Blacktron home-world . Unfortunately, the all-alien Black Hole Gang led to some anti-alien polices to be installed in the Space Police, now in their 4th Incarnation. This has led to clashes between the Police and Alien Rights groups. As of January 1st 2014, The Space Police have made the Universe more like a military state under their control. Even the space congress unofficially serves them as payback for the SP saving the known universe in the war. Everyone officially denies it, but at the same time they know who pulls the strings and what will happen to them if they talk. Some people try to stop them, but they almost always disappear - another loose end severed. It is almost as if the Space Police had turned into the very thing they sought to destroy. The fourth incarnation of the Space Police has high tech gear everywhere. From high powered engines to hidden weaponry that is used to "protect the innocent civilians" (read: protect the police officers & their assets) The center vehicle was specially built to handle crowd control duty (note the large "stun" cannon), while the other two vehicles are regular squad cars. Their is another Police vehicle not seen here, a quite large drop-ship. (AKA the Summer LEGO Movie drop ship) Yes, the space police have fallen far from the lofty perch from which they started from... After the third era of Space Police ended with the demise of Brick Daddy and the merging of the Black Hole Gang into the remaining Blacktron forces, Space Police has become increasingly military-like. They show arms openly, and and often wrongly target aliens as the cause of problems as a result of the alien-only Black Hole Gang's brutal warfare against mainstream society. The Space Police IV's leader is Sgt. Rodney 'Ironlegs' O'Brien seen here with four regular patrol officers. Fourth wall: I built these for fun while writing a dystopian-like LEGO society story you see here. These models are 100% build able in real life, and I will get to them someday (hopefully!)
  20. This are partly Star Wars & LEGO Space based creations. The ships / locations are Star Wars, but the story is classically-based LEGO Space. SPACE FLEET The HMS Ironwood (larger ship on left) was named for a large city in the Empire and has been in service since 2009. The ship a one-of-a-kind, as her only sibling (The HMS Legoredo) was destroyed in the 'Battle for Galaxy City' in early 2011 against the Blacktron. The Ironwood suffered heavy damage in that battle, and was put in space dock for a whole year. After the repairs, she was paired with two Star Destroyers, (the HMS Victory & the HMS Honor) and sent off an a victory tour of the known Galaxy. The HMS Victory (smaller ship in center) & HMS Honor (smaller ship on right) are identical parts of a 20-strong series of ships started in mid-2011 and continuing to this day. These are second-generation Destroyers, but are virtually identical to the earlier Imperial I class. These ships arrived too late to help in the 'Battle for Galaxy City', but were very useful in the ensuing 'Siege of Blacktronia' (the Blacktron home world) and the reduction of the surface of Blacktron City-world of Almaak III to molten slag. They were paired with the recently repaired Star Cruiser HMS Ironwood and sent off an a victory tour of the known Galaxy, all the while keeping tabs on any enemy or potential threat movements. (If any of this makes no sense, please refer to my Space Police IV topic. (which I have not yet created!)) SPACE BASE Located on the icy windswept world of *CLASSIFIED* the brave men and women of Ice Station *CLASSIFIED* lead a desperate fight against the Blacktron and their allies, such as Spyruis Inc. The base was built in the mid-1980's when the harmony of Classic Space was destroyed when Blacktron was formed and took over this world. The Lego Empire soon took control when the Space Police beat back the Blacktron and gave the former Blacktron bases to a trusted few worlds. Peace was a scant 6 months young when Blacktron II and later that decade (1994) Spyriuis Inc. showed their collective might. The soldiers of *CLASSIFIED* fought back, and the base was kept in Imperial hands for the duration of the conflict. Many more wars would ravage the base, but some new allies would come forward in those dark times. The Nexus Force has a presence on this sector, after fleeing their dimension into our universe via a wormhole located near this planet. They keep watch over the barrier between universes, making sure nothing more comes in or goes out.... except for the occasional exiting and re-entry of the TARDIS. But that's another story! The main entrance of the base is located inside an cavern carved out of the ice by Blacktron engineers. The secondary door is behind three trenches, two lines of laser artillery, and a foot-thick steel door. (the final artillery line and trench is seen above) There is a third entrance, located in the light gray area between the two large rocks. It is on a cliff face that drops down 200 feet to the valley floor. The rope ladder that falls from that door when open is used in extreme emergency's only and has only been used once when the Blacktron made their escape from the base in 1989. (In real life, this base has parts I haven't added yet, such as the Command and flight control on the second story (not a complete second story, but at least 16 x16 studs), plus the mess hall underneath. I will update the digital base eventually.) GALAXY CITY (This is a micro-scale model version of Galaxy City from Space Police III. The buildings are all build able in real life. Two of them are LEGO sets, one is a MOD of official instructions, and the other is a MOC. The sets are the Seattle Space Needle #21003 (minus the legs), and the Death Star #9676 (it's not in LDD), while the official instructions MOD is Nexus Tower from LEGO Universe.) In-universe back-story for the four buildings: The Classic Space Needle, albeit missing it's three legs, (The legs are not curable in LDD.) was the first building built on the future site of Galaxy City, and used to house the Universal Space Congress. It now houses the Exploration of Space Museum, dedicated to preserving the history of the known regions of space and the interactions with each other. The dark grey building is Space Police IV's Headquarters, after the last one was destroyed in the Black Hole Gang's final battle against SPIII. The largest building is Nexus Tower II, based on the destroyed tower in the LEGO Universe's home dimension. It contains the Imagination Nexus and the leader of the Nexus Force, Grand Admiral Bob. The last building is not visible right now (due to foul cosmic weather) but it is situated on the purple base in the bottom left. It is the Universal Space Congress, founded by the Classic Space Astronauts in 1978 as a way to keep peace in the known Space regions. It was originally in the Classic Space Needle, but has been in "the sphere" since being constructed in 1999. (It is really made of two 'planet series' Death Star bottoms, but they aren't in LDD.) Currently, the congress has 678 1/2 member systems, but here are a few: Unitron, Blacktron, Spyruis Inc, the Nexus Force, Explorien Corporation, M:Tron Company, Insectoids / Bugoids, Martians, United Federation of Earth Nations (UFEN), Krystonians, Roboforce members, and the Futuron Alliance, to name a dozen. Thoughts, complaints & compliments are welcome!
  21. Thanks FriscoMurph! Yes, I know about the Frisco. I want to build the 4-8-2 Mountain type #1522, (located in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri) someday If I can find a good LEGO model of it. Also, I will add that Bay Window to the station! Anyway, here is Locomotive #210: This 4-4-0 (also known as an American type) was built by Rodgers Locomotive & Machine Works for Brick Railway Systems (BRS) in 1876, and features a bright red-yellow-&-black paint scheme. Number 210 pulled passenger trains for 10 years before being reassigned to Freight duties in 1888. By 1900, the engine was worn out, and sent to a scrapper, who sold the engine to a museum for $100. Eventually, the museum was reorganized as the Imperial Rail Museum, where the engine rests today in non-operable condition. There were plans to get #210 in working order for the US Bicentennial in 1976, but nothing ever came of it, and the engine has remained cold and silent to this day. My inspiration for this loco was two-fold, this MOCPage: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/348958 and my own 4-4-0 that wouldn't work. See here for that failed model: http://www.flickr.com/photos/55973205@N08/7901971022/in/set-72157631537285709
  22. Thank you Barduck for bringing that to my attention. I have updated the LXF to be more stable when built in real life, and I tinkered with some other details as well. (such as better driving rods!) I have also updated the pictures. Enjoy!
  23. I'm not planning on selling the model, but I will take down the LDD file if Anthony Sava wants me to. Sorry for any trouble I've caused by posting this...
  24. Sorry about the triple post! Southern Pacific 'Daylight' #4460 Topic: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=91549 LDD file: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1406577912m.lxf Thanks! EDIT: Fixed some issues with the model and updated the picture. EDIT #2: Fixed some more issues, this time they were very minor. EDIT #3: Fixed some issues that I made when I edited it the last time!
  25. I downloaded this magnificent model MOCpages' JD Davis. He designs HUGE engines over there. (Check him out here: http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/31000 ) Anyway, JD Davis based this one off Anthony Sava's Daylight, and then I modified it to better represent the Southern Pacific #4460. Eventually, the original model merged with my previous version of the 4460. Long story short: The tender is from the other 4460, while the loco is new. It will be bigger than the Berkshire that I made from Sava's instructions a while back by about 8 or so studs. The engine will have "SOUTHERN PACIFIC" in printed tiles on the tender sides, with "4460" on the cab sides and tender rear. Here is a comparison picture of the real deal (from Wampa-One's Flickr page) Locomotive history / background: During World War II, the US Government controlled the railway locomotive builders, one of which was Lima. Southern Pacific submitted a order to Lima Locomotive Works for 16 new 4-8-4 steam engines, (known as Daylights) which was turned down. Southern Pacific reworked the blueprints to have little streamlining, and not feature the Daylight's color scheme of orange, red and black. These new engines were painted in silver and black, and were also smaller. Lima finally green-lighted the order in 1943, but with one condition: Six engines would be taken from the order and given to the power-starved Western Pacific Railroad. Because of their smaller size and the fact they were built during WWII gave these engine the names "Baby Daylights" and "War Babies". Officially, they were called GS-6 and numbered 4460 - 4469. (GS meaning General Service or Golden State, and 6 because they were the sixth batch of engines.) What makes #4460 so unique is that it pulled the final movement of steam on the Southern Pacific in 1958. The engine was donated to the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis Missouri on April 16th 1959, where it sits today. The only surviving cousin of this engine is GS-4 #4449, which is better known and actually still runs. That's where the 4460's nickname of the 'Forgotten Daylight', comes from. Also, I got this reply to my first version of the 4460 on MOCpages (seen here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/368617 ) NOTE: The driving wheels used on this model are supposed to be Big Ben Bricks XL wheel, both flanged and un-flanged. They are not included in the model, (as they are not in LDD) but some stock official wheels are there instead. They must be removed before building, unless you want some extra drivers that don't touch the track. EDIT: I have updated the model's LXF to be more stable when built it real life. I also updated the pictures! EDIT #2: I have fixed an error with the smoke box where the single 1x1 headlight worked in it's spot in LDD, but not in real life as far as I could tell. This meant taking the smoke box apart, and gave me a chance to strengthen it. I have attached the fixed LXF for the locomotive for any who wish to build it as I am going to sometime around Christmas 2014. EDIT#3: I added the newly updated pictures for the loco & coaches. EDIT #4: I redid the photos and ldd file, plus adding four more studs of length to the model. It is now 102 studs long with the tender attached. I am also attaching the passenger cars that #4460 will pull: The train consists is one baggage car, three coaches, and one observation car. A side view of the cars. The LDD file for the 4460 (without cars) is here: http://www.mocpages.com/user_images/80135/1419022605m.lxf The LDD file for the cars (without 4460) is here: http://www.mocpages....1406567506m.lxf Comments, Questions & complaints welcome!
