It would be fun to see a Tumbler wheel scale Drag Racer but not all 2H sets can be huge. My guess is that Gargo Helicopter, Drag Racer and that Bucket Thingie are small to medium sized (15€ to 30€) just because I don't believe any of the other sets make much sense in small size. Edit: I bought 4 Tumbler wheels from bricks & pieces already (10€ each!) so I am fine either way personally.

Wow, I hope this is true. I do not want any more V8 engine pieces... I don't have so many sets but I have a bagful of those pieces tugged deep somewhere. The working pistons are fun for first 10 minutes... Could Lego make a new (youtube) That would probably mean the car would look something like a tuned Mazda RX7 or RX8 even if not licensed...

Is that "Flagship" term something LEGO uses? Or is it something the community has started using for the largest most expensive set? I haven't seen any flagship stamp in any box or anything like that. I have seen it on brickset.com of course. It is just a hunch but I would think VOLVO would like if the two sets based on their models would be in same scale. That would probably mean that the new VOLVO is not huge. The Xerion Claas does not have that limitation so my bet would be that it will be the largest construction/tool set. I also believe the Ultimate IP car will be either huge or has some new panels or other pieces (RC/Power Functions). I just can't see LEGO using a term "Ultimate" for a mid-size set. It would be huge let down for fans of car sets. Also, ALL the other cars for 2016 are really tiny. I cannot see the Drag Racer being huge... Or maybe...? :) I am sure LEGO appreciates that there are fans for both the construction tools and the cars. So I wouldn't be surprised there would be one "flagship" in both categories. Then again, what do I know. I am new to this all

Ferrari Testarossa RC
LegoCube replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yea, I saw it earlier. I suppose I can try one more time based on that image... I just got lot of situations where I ended up trying to insert a square block in a round hole. There are lots of offsets going on... Started to get wee bit frustrating edit: You really can call this reverse engineering -

Sariel, any chance you could post details of the Testarosa chassis? I like the Testarosa a lot and looking forward to building it as well sometime, but seriously just want the chassis for now I built the steering rack in 30min but struggling to get the chassis together... If possible, maybe alternative chassis for the studless battery box as well (even if it does not fit in the Testarosa...?) -
I really thought the IP was a translation issue until that link was found. My find was based on actual thread named "Ultimate IP car". Just google it with the hyphens. Some powerracing thread from 2009 (warning I got some nasty popups from that forum this second time) I never heard that term used and the term Touring Car might have been better internationally... I agree totally it is a weird official name for a set... Edit: Of course it is just a hunch and the IP could stand for anything, even imagined by LEGO like Greg pointed out...

I am pretty sure IP does not stand for "Intellectual property". It stands for "Improved Production" car. So think about cars that are production made but modified for racing :) There are many cars that have limited production just to fill this qualification. If it is "Ultimate" I believe it will be one of those or some awesome Japanese Tuner like NISMO or Amuse, but that is far fetched I think. Still lots to choose from but narrowing the list down quite a bit.

[MOC] KTM X-Bow
LegoCube replied to Jurss's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I know the feeling... Mind sharing what you are struggling with? I personally have purchased several Creator sets. It is time to go back to basics :) Also I find the limitations with the Technic panels frustrating at times. Time to learn how to add some studded elements to the mix :) -

Any updates? I think the X-Bow is perfect for Technic :) -
Your Best Technic Bargains
LegoCube replied to Kumbbl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is borderline Technic... They are Creator sets but some Technic functionality and pieces. I just bought 4896+4993, both unopened for total of 168 euros. Please tell me I did a good deal. These are my first investment purchases that I do not mind getting stuck with. Not going to open them in a while just to be sure. My spending is getting out of control... Is there a Lego Shoppers Anonymous thread? -
The pricing for them in the amazon.de leak was same as for the pullback sets this year. So safe bet would be they are pullback or similar. Here are the prices from that source. Maybe these could be added to the first post? (Names translated from German, that is why name can be different) The piece count information in the first post could perhaps also be estimated based on this info?

Weird Suspension Idea
LegoCube replied to Rishab N's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Looks better and softer... I like it. For me the standard suspension feels too hard. I am sure similar springs can be found extremely cheap from some bulk shopping site... -
Cool pictures. I really hope the Interceptor/Getaway set will be visually close to those pictures. Even if they will be quite small... The Go-Kart also looks very tempting. I am almost beginning to hope the Ultimate "IP" thing is not true. Otherwise it will be very expensive January Edit: I kinda imagined the getaway car to be some bright color. Yellow or orange? Anyway further away visually from the interceptor. It might also be red, there hasn't been many red technic sets recently. But seems many are bored with that color? I wouldn't mind some new red pieces...

Thanks Max. Yea I tried to roughly keep the proprtions so that the fron panels would not obstruct the wheels from turning and stuff like that. Last night I built the elements together to see where to focus next. So here are some more bad quality pictures Sorry for mass posting. I think some might find this uninteresting and annoying so slowing down on updates until I have more urgent problems. The community feedback has proved and important tool :) I am fairly happy how the front looks like. I would like to have slightly larger headlights but I am fine with some compromises with my first MOC :) I am pretty happy how that wheel turns inside the frame :) I do not think I will add suspension for this car. I want to keep it simple and lightweight. I only own the heavy suspension from 8070 and 42029. They are so hard they don't actually do much. I only drive the R/C for short tests on livingroom floor :)
