By the technomagical necromancy of the Blacktron Summoner Corps, the dead of wrecked colonies rise once more, to visit vicious vengeance unto the alien. The Mourneblade speeder bike is unique to the Summoners. It carries the mage's staff mounted to fire directly forward, a backup summoning/control unit and backup weapon. The pilots are equipped with twin-engine jetpacks for individual mobility; these can be used to supplement the bike's own engines. Selected standard-issue equipment is shown here. On the right are two pylons usually teleported in at the start of the fight, to provide extra shielding and stealth to what comes next: Space zombies. This photo is terrible. These things form the core of the summoner's fighting strength, usually called in batches of three: two fast attackers with carbine and sword, one with heavy weapon. Bigger threats require bigger summons. that went well Here's a better shot of the zombies. Adorable, yes? Just look at their cute pearly widdle teeths, aww <3

What was the last movie you watched?
Space Police XVIII replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Batman vs Superman. What crap. Had I paid to see it I'd actually be a little annoyed. -
Wow, beautiful job. Both the markings and the build, there's a lot of nice touches like the flags overlapping the windshield. Can I ask how you made the stickers? I'm going to have to try this myself.

Instantly recognizable, and VERY impressive. Where did you get that helmet for Gordon?

Thin Hairline Crack on my Thin Hairline Piece

I would. It's not just you getting a new piece, it's feedback to Lego that they're doing something wrong.- 17 replies

Thin Hairline Crack on my Thin Hairline Piece
Space Police XVIII replied to Actor Builder's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Flags. Clip pieces of all kinds. Yesterday I tried attaching a bar piece to one of these http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=4595 and it cracked. Haven't seen it happen with any hair piece yet, but in general, Lego quality seems to have taken a sharp dive.- 17 replies

LEGOLAND non-production parts
Space Police XVIII replied to C0zmic's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Okay NOW I'm envious! I've wanted that piece for a while. I thought I bought one off bricklink a month ago - turns out the seller misfiled a regular blue one; I was not happy. -
Hey, my favorite battlemech. Nice job on the legs and feet especially.

Question: What term do we all call ourselves?
Space Police XVIII replied to Paul B Technic's topic in Community
AFOL always struck me as unnecessary and just a bit pretentious. Why, I'm not some KID that PLAYS with Lego! I'm a serious person that seriously builds serious things with this highly advanced interlocking brick SYSTEM. Harrumph. This works, I like this. -
Nice JOB! And I'm really impressed with the bugs' design, the legs/torso used that way looks adequately freakish and alien.

It's magnificent...and the best space theme, too!

[moc] The last peaceful explorer
Space Police XVIII replied to Space Police XVIII's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Thanks, guys. I tried adding a bumblebee stripe on someone's suggestion..then promptly buried it under missiles and other crap. Ah well, it's still sort of visible on one side! -
In the beginning there was the C-26 light transport. Courier, utility shuttle, small explorer, whatever; this quick and agile ship made for a very common sight throughout the fleet. In standard configuration it could carry two people, or one and a standard 2x2x2 cargo crate, with quick and responsive controls and overpowered engines that made it a pilot's favourite - and, of course, prime candidate for strapping on guns when the evil aliens arrived on scene. Which resulted in the F-1 conversion fighter. This ubiquitous eyesore lacked standardization and died in droves, being a basic C-26 whose passenger seat was replaced with shield generator and targeting computer, and front made pointy with whatever weapons could be scrounged up on short notice. Various enhancements were tried, eventually coalescing into the vision of the Fleet's first dedicated starfighter. Enter the F-1a Barracuda, widely credited with fighting the filthy xenos to a standstill. This variant features a xeno-sourced cloaking device on the left of the cockpit (you can tell it's alien tech because it's got trans-neon green), advanced sensors and targeting, enhanced shielding and armor, improved weapons and engines, blah blah blah. Initial limited availability gave rise to the hunting pair, where we see a basic F-1 serving as bait while its enhanced brethren lay in wait, stealth fields engaged, to provide alien attackers with immediate negative reinforcement. Eventually, along came the F-2 Rifleman. Faster, stronger, named after a battlemech, it completely failed to eclipse its predecessor. The F-1a serves to this day with no retirement in sight, living proof of the timelessness of excellent design, its speed, agility and stealth making it an excellent patroller and vicious pack hunter. Aaaand thanks for reading I forgot what else I was going to blab about.

[LDD] Steampunk Car.... thing....
Space Police XVIII replied to Electricsteam's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I don't know much about building steampunk either. 'Lots of poop colors' seems to be the general guideline, maybe with metallic gold accents. This looks good though, the headlights especially. Nice use of the broom pieces. -
Looks great - do you have any other pics? I'm curious how the legs are put together.
-
I really like this, including the size. It looks big enough to carry equipment, ammo, with living space for the four crew.. is there an interior?

Now it really needs a lost-looking Classic Space astronaut bumbling through. Great job.

[MOC] Light Armored Squid Attack Fighter
Space Police XVIII replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Very nice. I'll have to steal some aspects for my Evil Alien Stuff. -
English's my second language, also, but I managed to pick up the words, their meaning and spelling at once. I'm really curious how that works for you. You know the language well enough to use a phrase like of course, but you spell it offcors - how did that happen? and why not just install a spell checker?

Korean as default language for Eurobricks
Space Police XVIII replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Forum Information and Help
On one hand this was really funny, and on the other not really, because it feels like eurobricks is literally getting more spam than legit posts at this point. -

Do you mix your old/used/new LEGO?
Space Police XVIII replied to Mazin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
With extreme prejudice. Faded/discolored grays and whites make for great color accents, too.
